This was my third time seeing Michael Monroe and each show just gets better. Was nice seeing them in a smaller venue. Don't miss them if they come to your area.

Tonight the answer to the question "is Rock dead?" was answered with a resounding NO !!! Co-headliner (Swedish rockers) Hardcore Superstar helped to get the crowd ready for the return of Finland's own MICHAEL MONROE. The glam/punk legend did NOT disappoint. The near sold out crowd was on their feet getting their collective arses kicked and begging for more. The Michael Monroe band is filled with legends, journeymen and all out stars in their own right. Sami Yaffa (Michael Monroe's long time co-conspirator and fellow member of Hanoi Rocks) on bass, Karl Rockfist (Danzig / Chelsea Smiles) drums, Rich Jones (Black Halos / Ginger Wildheart Band) guitar and local NY rocker Steve Conte (NY Dolls, Steve Conte NYC) guitar. This is a very dangerous band! This is not merely a touring band it is a full on group. They have recorded 3 records with the basic nucleus of four with Rich Jones being the newest member. They blew through new tracks such as "This Aint No Love Song" and the Dee Dee Ramone penned "Under The Northern Lights". The crowd sang along to the new single from the BLACKOUT STATES cd "Going Down with The Ship" (a song about standing side by side against all odds and never wavering). The set was also heavy with tried and true classics from the Hanoi Rocks Era and Michael Monroe's deep solo catalog. "Man with No Eyes" from The NOT FAKIN' IT cd, "Ballad of the LES" (Monroe's homage to the time he lived in NYC) from the HORNS AND HALOS cd. "Trick of the Wrist", "78" from the SENSORY OVERDRIVE cd as well as some tracks from the underground classic, long lost, punk revival cd DEMOLITION 23. The band was high energy and fierce in it's delivery and the captain of the ship (Michael Monroe) proved once again why he is one of the best front men to ever wield a microphone. He jumped, pranced, ran and climbed all over the stage, guardrails, side bars and tables. The was NO obstacle that he couldn't overcome. He was like a panther stalking it's prey. He was fast and sharp and his vocal performance is astonishing. The show was run on pure adrenaline and dripped with sweat from everyone. As his lyrics suggest "Got Blood if you want it, I'll bleed it for you every night..." It was a sight to behold. I am still shaking from the rush. I can only hope you get to see this band while they are still very much at the top of their game. And get the new cd BLACKOUT STATES.

This show was everything a rock show should be - high energy, great band, great songs. They played songs from Michael's whole career plus tributes to punk icons The Damned, Stiv Bators, Johnny Thunders and Iggy Pop. The show rocked from the moment they hit the stage until they left after the encore. The band is great and Michael's voice is still incredible. There is nowhere I would rather be than watching a Michael Monroe Show.

Hardcore was fantastic! Rocked from first to last song! Kicked major ass! Venue was great! Only bad thing to many Chumps filming the whole show! Take your pic and put down your phone and watch the show! For gods sake stop making others watch the show through your lens!

What can I say? What a perfect event this was !! Took in the Michael Monroe show at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC on October 2nd. The venue was perfect, it seemed that no matter where you were, you had a great view of the stage. The setting was intimate, so every detail of the show was visible!! To see a rock Icon like Michael Monroe in the type of setting was incredible. Would recommend this venue to anyone looking to see their favorite performer. A couple of other things that I would like to say, was that the venue was clean, and that at least at this particular show, security was visible, and active, but not overwhelming.

I didn't know the music, but this is a great band completely enjoying themselves. It was a bit of a guilty pleasure, but a pleasure nonetheless!

Michael Monroe and his band blew the doors OFF of the Bowery Ballroom in NYC. Michael Monroe is best known of course for his former band the Legendary HANOI ROCKS. The band is touring in support of a new cd SENSORY OVERDRIVE. The cd and concert are all killer no filler. Monroe opens the cd and the show with the in your face, autobiographical TRICK OF THE WRIST. They grab the audience by the throat and never let go. This cd is so strong that they feature six tracks in the live set, along with many gems from Monroe's solo efforts and of course Hanoi Rocks. This is an incredible Rock N Roll assault by a cohesive band. Not just the best front man in Rock and a few random players. Joining Monroe are (Hanoi Rocks own) Sam Yaffa, Steve Conte (ex-NY Dolls), Karl Rockfist (ex-Danzig) on the drums and new comer Dregen (Backyard Babies). Mr Dregen is quite the showman of his own. They are here to save Rock and Roll from the dismal state it is in. You will leave this show EXHAUSTED from having your A** Kicked all over the venue. Get To the show a.s.a.p and just go right now and buy the cd.
