I couldn't even tell you how many shows of theirs I have been to. I was working with them for an entire tour and then attended plenty more on my own. They have been my favorite band for 10 years, and for good reason. Every single song they have released has meant something special to me. Whether it's the lyrics themselves or at the time that I heard a particular song, I was going through something specific in my life. Either way, if you listen to any -or all- of their previous five albums (Gift, Welcome, Blue-Sky Research, Our Long Road Home, and Plead The Fifth), you will develop a personal connection to their work, as well. When it comes to their live shows, you'll just have to see it to believe it. They are so committed to giving 100% to their fans. High energy is an understatement. I must warn you, though: Once you start going to Taproot shows, you might become addicted...like me :) So try to catch them this month before they disappear again to complete their 6th album, "The Episodes" (working title). I'm taking the road trip from NYC to Ohio for 3 shows. Hope to see you there or at future shows. You can thank me later.

Ok, all bands were phenomenal, but the whole reason I went was for Destrophy. There were some sound issues with the opening bands as the sound techs didn't quite get the levels right. The venue is a lot bigger than I thought it would be and there is even an upper layer to get the overhead view. I would definitely see another show at this venue!

All 3 bands rocked. The guys from Other Wise and Hurt were out talking to everyone and signing their merchandise. Really nice guys. They were listening to the fans too. Wish them the best of luck!

Otherwise, Hurt and Taproot were awesome, Totally impressive musically but for the first time at the Culture Room the sound was a disappointment - at one point the Mike didn't work and overall it sounded choppy. Overall Great Bands but the sound sucked!

Otherwise blew the crowd away and was a great opening band! They held the crowd extremely well! Hurt was truly amazing I only wish they would have played longer. Taproot also did a great job and their kitchy stage setup was very unique. All and all a great show!

Taproot was awesome, I would def see them again! i was able to be right up at the stage which rocked! My only minor complaint is that there were five opening bands that seemed to drag on forever. Most were good but by the third I was ready for taproot. Taproot played a good mix of old and new songs and interacted with the crowd. Five out of Five stars!

Taproot along with the other opening acts were AWESOME! The venue itself was great and accommodating. Not many people were there but it was a Thursday night understandably. My boyfriend and I had a great time but the sound coordinator was just awful! Who ever was in charge was clearly unskilled in his position for the night. You could barely hear the vocalists sing the extreme base and treble sounded way off. Other than that, I would totally see them and the other bands again. All were really talented and I would encourage people to check out Absolution and Cerebellion who performed as well that night. I bought an album from both bands and was impressed.

The show itself was great there was not that many people there and venue was awesome. The band had alot of energy and was great! Now the bad is whoever is their sound guy should be fired!! Certain songs would sound good others would just sound so bad!! Really made it tuff to get into the show as they did not sound good most of the time!! The opening bands were the same way. I guess it must be hard to find a good person for that but when you go see the big names like metallica or say disturbed that stuff is clean!

Saw Taproot a year and a half ago at the same venue.Great band and usually always a great show.I felt that it was a bit rushed, but that was because of the amount of great local tallent that the villa always has as a support! But still great intensity. They sang some of their hits(Calling,Path less Taken,&Poem)and also delved into some of their earliest recordings. All in all,I will still go back to Alrosa Villa when they come back!

I popped my taproot cherry! I have been a fan since Gift came out but never had the opportunity to see them live until my ticketmaster popped up an email alerting me to their presence back in December. I bought the tickets for my fiancee as a late christmas present because he loves them just as much as me :-) Me Talk Pretty was a fantastic opener for such a phenomenal band and really got the crowd going... plus the lead singer is a beautiful Romanian with one hell of a set of lungs on her! Gorgeous voice and very talented... to be able to see them for the first time in such an intimate venue with only like 200 people there was even more amazing... I got as close as I could with out crawling up on the stage even though i secretly wanted to ;-) They have a fantastic stage presence and really engaged the crowd which I love because not many do... Thank you for such a fantastic show and please oh please come back as soon as you can!

I like the way they interact with the fans during their show. They are Legit! Was sweet when they brought the youngun to stage for his stagedive, that was great! Thanks Taproot for bringing down the house at the Whisky. ROCK IT ON TAPROOT!!

when i first got to the whiskey, i didnt exspect that there was going to be so many bands playing, but they were all awesome and totally did a great job of building up the crowd for taproot. by the time taproot came on stage, the entire crowd was so pumped up it was unbelievable. i've been to many rock concerts...too many to count. and this one was up there with the best. one thing ill never forget is that taproot is an extremely fan oriented band. before the show, they walk around the crowd just like any other patron does, and during the show, stephen really involves the crowd into the show. i've never seen any other big name band do that...it really shows their true colors.

The band was excellent! Really good opening bands, too. Never saw Taproot before and they didn't disappoint. Took my teenage boys and we all had a blast (we're sore this morning from so much headbanging, though, and I probably should've stayed out of the mosh pit, but I'm glad I didn't).

If you want to be truly entertained check these guys out this summer! (they are touring) They ROCKED the house of a small venue in Maple wood Mn. The whole show (of four other bands) was highly energetic and quality stuff. It was worth every penny and then some. The high light would have to be the mosh pits Taproot front man Stephan jumped off stage to start! A TRUE rock show through and through!!!

Great range of sounds from one concert. Taproot is animated on stage, and is more than willing to play to the crowd. Great Audience involvement. They sound amazing live.

I enjoyed all the bands that played that night, but Ice Nine Kills performed better than I have seen them play. It was great that they really reached out to their fans during and after their performance. I did, however, have a problem with how the chameleon club was set up that night. On the ground floor (where the stage was) is where they had the bar open, so we were not allowed to be down there. We had to be up on a balcony. This made it impossible for any fans under 21 to interact with the bands while they played, mosh, or go to the merchandise stands after the shows were over. Luckily, Ice Nine Kills brought the merch stands to us!
