Kosair Shrine Circus

We took 4 grands and they love it. It is a tradition, the rule is you must be 2 or older. This was the youngest ones first time. She was in awe. She didn t want to leave. The Shriners do an awesome job!!!

The circus was a tremendous event. It had been years since i had been there and it was so exciting to see my daughter enjoy it for the first time.

Fun like always been going for the past few year's

I took my grandchildren ages 8,10 &11. They really enjoyed the experience. We started out with the Elephant & Camel rides which they thought was really exciting. They all enjoyed the wild animals and my grandson especially enjoyed the guy being shot out of a cannon. The girls especially liked the Chicago Boys acrobatic team. HINT: Bring lots of money!

My husband and I took our 4 year old to the circus. She was dazzled by the animals, costumes, and fun. My husband and I were thoroughly entertained too. We support the circus and are concerned that they will not be accessible soon. Such a great night of fun. Take cash - everything requires dollars and no plastic!

The circus was a good show, but be prepared for constant bombardment by venders of over price light swords, slushes and cotton candy. To the point to where I had to tell a vender that enough is enough and to please move we are trying to watch the show. They will ruin a good show with there constant harassment. Would have given more stars if it wasn't for this reason.

Prices seem to get higher every year and show seems to get worse every year

Tigers were awesome. The trapeze act kept us on the edge of our seats. My grandsons were totally amazed and engaged for the entire show.

Very entertaining for my grandchildren's first time to the circus. Really impressed with a lot of interactive activities for them to do.

The show was wonderful and great for all ages! They really keep the audience, adults and children alike, very involved and entertained throughout. We will definitely be going back next year!

Great show awesome performers. Everyone working at the circus concessions and ticket booth were so very nice4 and friendly. We enjoyed every minute and hated to see it end. we will be back next year.

Awesome family show! So much activity going on and our seats were great.

They sold us seats that were covered by a temporary cover and then moved us to horrible seats. Someone walked by trying to sell popcorn or flashlights every 2 seconds, blocking the view. The show was bad - boring, disappointing. The camels and horse just ran in a circle. Couldn't maintain the attention of children.

Great event but very scattered. Lots of energy. Grandmaster sound kept going in and out. Exciting acts. Girls in skimpy outfits dancing around inappropriate for little kids. Overall.Ok. Pricey food. I didn't like that the sales guys kept walking around and getting in the way of the performances.

Kinda Lame. Definitely not worth the ticketmaster service charges.

Overall my first circus experience for a 30yr old was a good one. Santa brought my daughter tickets for Thursday night. Honesty, we had no clue about the events before or we would've arrived sooner. An intermission I understand is nessecary, but I don't think it needed to be that drawn out during a week night. Weekends, understandable. It added a whole other hour to the program and made the hour+ drive home not the greatest. Even though our tickets were row A (which I was so excited about) we were close to the end of the center stage and no performer interacted with the crowd that far down. But the colors of the cotton candy display at our feet kept us distracted from that. Overall, the performers were amazing. I'd do it again but keep in mind my experience.

I took my 4 year old grandson to the Kosair Shrine Circus as his first circus ever!! He was mesmerized by the whole thing and loved ALL that he saw. He was easily able to follow the acts in 3 different rings and he never got bored. He loved the excitement, the music, noise and the circus people. He even got to ride a camel and elephant, not a daily occurrence for a 4 year old. We both especially loved the aerial acts--trapeze, men running and jumping on the giant wheels as they rotated, high wire act and the man shot out of the cannon. It is unusual to see camels in a circus act so we enjoyed that too! The clown with "small elephant" was a GREAT act. Only downside is the price of "toys", drinks, and rides but overall I would highly recommend it to anyone!!

Lots of fun my grandson had a blast will take grandson every time he wants to go plus granddaughter when she gets older.

There were not enough animal acts that's what the circus is animals to many dancers

We were extremely disappointed that the announced 15 minute intermission was more than 30 minutes. This was on a Friday evening event and there were many of us with younger children that ended up leaving and not able to watch the second half of the circus. It appeared that you were more concerned with making more money during the intermission with the animal rides than taking care of all your customers who had paid good money to watch the full circus. Very frustrated and disappointed!

I was happy with the show. we attended last year as well and I liked this year better. I really wish they could clean up the arena better though.

Kosair Shrine Circus used to be so much fun! The last time I went was about 10 years ago. Things are so much more expensive and the quality was terrible!! Overpriced food and drinks...$10 for an icee is ridiculous!! I felt sorry for kids who didn't have light up toys because it is now a requirement to have a light up toy or your child is left out of the show...JUST TERRIBLE

The children thoroughly enjoyed. The show kept moving and there was always something going on.

The circus is always a good family outing and exciting for the kids and adults. However, the refreshments, rides and other items offered for sale were quite expensive. Had increased from last year. Tickets were great and it is a great way to spend an afternoon.

The kosair shrine circus was unbelievable! My children and I loved it! I would definitely recommend it to anyone of all ages.

Terrific event. We had super tickets on the floor and the price for the event was not outrageous. We had a wonderful experience.

First let me start by telling you that I have two kids ages 7 and 13. When the 7 year old was 4 we took them to the Kosair Shrine Circus and if you asked me then I would have told you I would never go back. Fast forward to 2015 and my now 7 year old sees the advertisement on TV and wants to go so we decided we would give it another shot. Boy was that a good decision. This years show was nothing short of flawless. It was action packed with many high energy acts. They had several acts that were featured on Americas got tallent and they were all great. All four of us were thouroughly entertained. They have seriously stepped up their acts.

This was our family's 8th year of attending the circus and it gets better every year! We loved the new acts and had so much fun!

Wanna ride an elephant with four other people once around a 25' circle....$25 each. Wanna have your picture taken with a miniature horse....$10. Sno-cone...$5. Coke...$5. Pizza...don't ask, you can't afford it. But the circus itself was good. Oh, Parking...$8.

My wife and I went to the show with our granddaughter, her first Circus, and it was exceptionaly good. A great first time experience for her.

We had a good time, everything was pretty expensive tho. 20.00 to ride the elephant for a couple of minutes, but we knew this was going to the children's hospital so we didn't mind as much. Great performers and great acts.

loved everything but standing in line for the elephant ride being next in line and they stop for the next part of the show, then having to wait through a line again when they start back up. Ugg

What a great time had by all my kids and grandkids. This is a family event you do not want to miss. Watching my kids have fun with their kids laughing and enjoying this together was priceless. Elephant rides are 2 trips around and $15 when we went. Camel rides $10.00. Pictures with animals are $5. Cotton candy $5, toys range from $10 & Up. And the show last for 2.5 hours. They open an hour early to enjoy rides on the floor and you will want to make sure you get there right when it opens. Then they have intermission and rides again after the circus is over. I only posted fees for I wish someone would have posted them for me to know what things cost so I didn't have to guess how much cash to take. Parking was $8. We went 2/15 so fees may change....Enjoy and have fun. Worth every $ spent and goes to a great cause!!

We were there for 4 hours and only saw the first 1/2. This is a bit long for children with short attention spans and early bedtimes

Fun, smiles , and new acts make this new Shriners Circus a must see

The circus was absolutely fabulous! The tickets are affordable and the parking is close. Our kids are grown but we wanted to go anyway. All the workers and performers had big smiles. The clowns were great and very sweet. The opening dancers with their animal costumes were wonderful. The modern music was great. I was excited about every act. Absolutely wonderful wonderful experience.!!!!!

The cirus was okay. We got the tickets at a decent price but they charged way to much for the pony and elephant rides. And the food was outrageous. I mean $10 for a slushie. And when you are trying to watch the show you have someone coming around asking if you want cotton candy or slushies that are way over priced.

My Greatgrandson loved the show - all the animals and especially Spiderman coming down from the ceiling. Thought some of the items for sale were a little pricey -- if you have more than one child could maybe make attendance unaffordable to take them to the circus. I know it's a good cause, but quantity sometimes still matters.

We had a wonderful time. Great show. First time ever taking my kids to the circus. I know this is a charity event, but I think they should have charged 5.00 per child instead of 10.00 to ride the ponies or play in the bouncy houses. You got like 2 go a rounds on the horses and 5 mins in the bouncy houses. and 10.00 to ride the elephant. instead of 20.00 you only went around about 3 times a small ring with the elephants. When you have a lot of children it gets really expensive fast. With our family 200.00 went fast.

Took my three year old twin grandchildren to the Kosair/Shrine Circus. The show was awesome and they especially loved being able to get up close to the animals before the show. We also had a chance while the kids were playing in the bouncy house to speak with one of the performers who hailed from the Ukraine and she was very friendly and accommodating to the children. Two thumbs up! I'm sure we will be back next year.

We really enjoyed the circus this year. We took 2 teen-agers with us and they had a great time. The motorcycle act was incredible and the tigers were lots of fun to watch. The Shriners are so nice in showing people to their seats and making everyone feel welcome. Great show. Reasonably priced.

Great time for smaller kids, my 2 year old niece loved it but the 10 year old was bored said it was the same as last year. I know their trying to raise money, but prices are extremely high.

Hadn't seen a circus since I was a child, yet Kosair Shrine Circus was wonderful to see, along with my family & my child's friend. Only one issue that I noticed, depending on where your seats are, the cages & other items they keep close by for the animals blocked a lot of viewing full act. Air performers were absolutely graceful, & delightful! Girls were freaked out over the clowns, yet didn't hesitate take pictures with them either, lol.

The circus itself was entertaining. My granddaughters loved it. The cost of everything once you were inside was criminal! What a ripoff. $20 to ride the elephant for less than 2 minutes. Not worth it!

I took my grandson to this show because I didn't want him to be 50+ yrs old and say I have never been to a circus. The hr before and intermission, you can ride ponies, camels and/or elephants but for a cost, individual. They also have the Bounce Houses for kids. This was a fun time for the grandson, a little expensive (But it all goes to a great charity and Organization). Then the show started which was a fun opening. The acrobats were fantastic along with the motorcyclists and definitely worth the price of admission. Now the bad... Other than the dogs, the rest of the animal acts were extremely poor or boring to watch. The camel and horses looked sad and not wanting to be there. The Tigers seemed lethargic. The whole time the announcer is talking about the "Love and Kindness" they are showed, yet the trainers are standing in the middle of the ring cracking a whip. I felt the clowns could have been a little more part of the show also. Those events, just sad. With all that said, it is a must see show. Take a kid with you and watch their faces light up when those acrobats are spinning around 30ft in the air. Thank You Kosair for a wonderful memory with my grandson and daughter.

It was an afternoon show so people in the audience were probably not as exciting as a night show. The crowd was lame so I don't think the performers were into it. The show was fair, Barnum and Bailey had so much more excitement in their shows. This seem amateur in comparison. The ticket prices, food and drinks were also very high. I may have my head in the clouds but I think $10 to play in the bouncy house for 15 minutes during intermission is ridiculous. Riding the elephant $20, riding a camel or horse $10...don't know who set up the pricing but they may want to evaluate.

My daughter and grand-daughter and I attended the Sunday night performance of Kosair Circus. It was EXCELLENT from beginning to end. It could not have been any better!! Our seats ( section 11 Row B ) were perfect to see everything going on in all rings. The animals were great and all the acts were very good. We especially enjoyed the pigs performing!!! Even the concessions were reasonably priced!!. Hot dog - $2.00 Brat $2.00 and a huge Erhlers ice cream cone filled high was only $5.00. Great night we will be back next year!!!!

This smaller size circus had alot of entertainment, especially for my little kid who has never seen the circus. I am not sure how much longer the circus will be around so I wanted her to see it. It was a good show, and I love the work the Shriners do. The down side was the pricing. Nothing came with the high price of the tickets. The food was expensive, and any other little thing was extra, even the parking. So for 3 of us to go and share one drink and a few food items with 1 souvenir, it cost about $180. That's pretty steep. Again I believe it goes to a great cause and enjoyed it as I had not been in a very long time. The memories will be great!

The show was great! My 21 month old loved it! He clapped and smiled the whole time!

I bought the best seats because it was made to look like there would be interaction with the audience. And I wanted my grandkids to be able to experience that. But after spending $160.00 for the, so called good seats, we had no better view or experience than the people who only spent $50.00 for 5 seats. The price of everything was outrageous.

This was my first time at the circus, I was extremely impressed. The grandchildren- 2 5year olds and 1- 3 year old was glued to their seat the whole time. they sang and danced and clapped along. Great time.

The circus was total great, very expensive for all other attractions. and food.

I have taken my granddaughter the last 3 years to the Kosair Shrine circus, and it has always been even better than the Ringling Bros. This year was disappointing. Many acts were absent such as the motorcycles in the cage, a cyclist/motorcyclist balancing on the high wire, no acrobat spinning aloft from her hair, or performers twirling high from the colored bands of material like Cirque de Soleil. Even the guy that got shot of a cannon only went half across the arena not end to end like in the past. Most of the acts were scaled back not as dramatic or exciting as in the past. And of course the constant hawking of cheaply made but expensive souvenirs was extremely annoying as always.

I loved the circus - it was incredible. My 2 grandsons loved it. Here is the problem. We were on 2nd row. There were children with adults on first row. They were you ng children under age of 6. They were allowed to run wild. they kept running out in the center ring. Very disrupting. We were afraid they would get hurt. Nobody ever came & said anything to them. they should not have been in the aisles, let alone the ring.

The show was good but everything else like the $20 elephant rides were ridiculous! So be prepared to spend another $100 once your there.

I wish it was a little more exciting for the price and the seats were better.

With 4 kids in tow, my boyfriend and I attended the circus on Saturday evening. While money goes to a great causes, all the "extras" for sale really is expensive. Which causes the kids to be sad at the circus because they don't get all the "extras". Intermission is to long for small children as they tend to get bored and then are crying to go do all the extras again. They did have fun so that's a good thing and the money does go to a good cause. Take LOTS of cash if you plan on going

The circus itself was a very enjoyable day. I haven't been since I was a kid, MANY years ago! I was however VERY disappointed in the cost of the elephant rides. I had my son excited to get onto one, after a little nervousness about it. Went to grab tickets and they were $20 each! Really??? $20 to walk 1 circle around that small ring, that was unreal.

I have been going to Kosair Shrine Circus since I was a child. I am 66 now and feel like a child going to the circus.
