I love live music! I used to go to a ton of different concerts and festivals. Then I saw the Hives at Coachella. They were so good that when they finished with their set I left the festival. I have never since been to another concert of any kind again. Why even bother, the Hives cannot be topped...

Incredible live show. Annually ranked in the top ten "best live shows", and they lived up to the reputation! A must see, whether you are a fan or not!

All I can say is The Hives are not only great showmen/performers, but they rocked it vocally and instrumentally. They sounded fantastic, had a great set, and performed the best of their new album while perfectly sprinkling in their greatest hit songs too. Three-song encore was just the best cherry on the top with whipped cream.

Make no mistake about it. The Hives believe they're the best band in the world. The thing is, they deliver on that bravado. For all of their cheeky grandstanding, the Swedish band has the audience right in the palm of their hands, completely eating up each and every grandiose proclamation that comes from lead singer "Howlin'" Pelle Almqvist's mouth. Whether it's Almqvist's scissor kicks, delirious quips, or the rest of the band bounding about the stage, The Hives kinetic energy infects every single person in the audience. Their high energy shows are some of the greatest I've seen in terms of crowd participation, which can be a tough go in Los Angeles. Almqvist even cracked wise about that fact, mentioning that as they tour, they'll tell fellow bands that they're headed to LA, to which the others respond that LA are a "bunch of a-holes who are too cool for school." The Hives response to that. "Well, your band sucks." The Hives definitely do not.

Unbelievable. Every song was incredible. Can hardly remember a lull in the show, a song ending and a song beginning. So great!!!

Walking into the Fox Theater which had been renovated in recent years, it was looking suave. Bars lined up against the walls. Lights dimmed. FIDLAR (Fuck It Dude, Life's A Risk) opened up with a string of noteworthy garage punk tunes that very well warmed up the crowd with songs such as "Wake Bake Skate" and "Max Can't Surf". More walked in as the impressively dressed tech crew (NINJAS!) organized the set. So far, so good. Then all hell breaks loose. The drummer, Chris Dangerous looms out from the shadows and begins pounding a beat. Nicholas Arson, Vigilante Carlstroem and Dr. Matt Destruction soon follow and gear up on stage. The crowd's roaring. Then Howlin' Pelle Almqvist struts on to stage. Arson counts to four as Pelle tells the crowd: "Come on!" And the rest was history. A fantastic show. The energy was off the charts. The audience screaming lyrics, jumping like no tomorrow and screaming away. The band continues to amaze with their series on onstage antics with Pelle's hilarious banter, Arson's animated guitar dancing and Chris Dangerous' drumstick throwing. Hits like Main Offender, Hate to Say I Told You So, Walk Idiot Walk and Tick Tick Boom had the crowd especially hyped even with how tired they were.
