I've been a fan of Chimaira for a while, but this is the first time I've been able to see them in concert. What an incredible show. They were extremely high-energy, and they rocked amazingly hard. The mosh pit filled up the entire room, and even a couple of girls joined in the fun. The opening acts weren't anything to write home about, but Chimaira was 100% awesome beginning to end! Love you guys! Much respect. \\m/ -_- \\m/

This was my 11th Chimaira Xmas show. I was not blown away at all unlike previous years. All the riffs seemed changed and the show was short. No climatic end at all. They played only 3 of their newest stuff which they play best being all new members except Mark.

being that this was the last show with 3 original members i expected to hear more of their old stuff, that was not the case. they only played 2 old songs and the rest were all new stuff, which im not really a fan of. i was just dissapointed in the set list. venue was cool tho

This show was nothing short of awesome!! The line up was amazing! Unearth and Chimaira in a row, not to mention Skeletonwitch and a few other great bands opening the night up! The set lists were great, and it was just a great time!! There was, however, a little too much bass, as I felt like I was gonna let loose in my pants is was vibrating so hard. As always, Starland Ballroom is an awesome venue!

i really enjoy seeing bands i know in small clubs. the Alrossa is a decent sized place. smaller than the Newport, but not terribly small. the P A could have been a little better. if you're right infront of the stage, not gonna hear much vocals, but that seems more normal than it should be. what can i say about the band? they kick ass. i've seen them 5 times now and they never disappoint. they tear it up, have fun and keep the crowd in it. very kool of them to shake hands with the people in the front at the end of the show. definitely will see them again.

I know the slack turnout sucked for the bands, but it made the experience so much more intimate for the fans that was there, I mean meeting all the guys and hanging out was unbelievable, chimaira is my favorite band and can't wait to see them again

This show was INCREDIBLE. If you are a Chimaira fan, you most likely have seen them once, twice, or more already. If you haven't, what are you waiting for? For anyone into heavy music, I recommend to get into Chimaira. As most metal bands, they are very musically skillful. However, they are extremely heavy and brutal, even for metal and at the same time their music has a nice 'groove' to it and many songs are very catchy as far as heavy music goes. They are a one-of-a-kind band. Given you love their music, it is elevated in their live performance. They play near-flawless every time. They are a tight band you can hear everything well, and have perfectly executed starts and stops within their songs played live. Their 'lead' guitarist Rob is a perfectionist which helps to guarantee a great sound every time (unless the venue has a really bad sound system or sound engineer). I have seen Chimaira 13 times now and they have sounded AMAZING EVERY SINGLE TIME. NO JOKE. GO SEE THEM AND HAVE A BLAST!

I have been to Alrosa quite a few times, have had the opportunity to see Chimaira there twice, and I must say that I am never disappointed. Alrosa is a small venue, and really gives you the opportunity to "get personal" with the bands during their shows. If there is not a barricade up, you will very likely get hit in the face with the bands hair (if you can secure a spot in front). Chimaira, as always, did a stellar job, playing a very wide range of songs from all of their albums. They had a lot of energy, and the supporting bands were for the most part very enjoyable. And I finally got to see them play Lazarus live, I have been waiting for that for years.

This concert was amazing. Chimaira was clearly the best band that played but most of the bands that played before them did a great job as well. The crowd got into it the second Chimaira took the stage. The only problem I had with the venue was that the music was a bit too loud. A couple of the vocalists' voices were distorted by the volume. The only band that was terrible was Impending Doom. Their music is about as intricate as a monkey that learned how to throw it's own excriment. I watched the guitar player's hands and they literally didn't move. Every song except for one that they played was just a long breakdown.

Bottom line: this was the best show Chimaira has ever put on! I also just got my baller package in the mail with the shirt, poster, and DVD/CD with content from the show! I have not missed a Chimaira Xmas show in 8 years! If you want to see a truly great show, go to one of their Christmas shows.

I was impressed by Thyatera, Product of Hate, and Dirge Within. Chimaira put on a good show, as usual. I also got to talk with Product of Hate for a little bit, they gave me advice on getting my keys which were locked in my car.

I've seen the Chimaira X-mas show in Cleveland (their hometown) for at least the last 5 years now, and Chimaira puts on one amazing show everytime. High energy, intense stage presence and they get the fans into it. Definately worth every penny every year.

The Chameleon Club looks like a dive, but its an awesome setting to have bands of this nature perform. It's dark, it's hot and contains the music so well. It was a rush to have all that volume pounding off your chest. The lead singers for all the bands were mind blowing! Rob from Chimaira - you amaze me! There is so much talent oozing out of every band member from all 4 groups. If you've ever been in an amusement park and seen the signs that tell you how much longer you have to wait...I'm sure this is what 15 minutes to Hell would look like! These bands are so powerful and what stage presence! Chameleon Club - Thank you for offering this event as an all ages show. Down side - Chameleon Staff there are a few boneheads that you should consider putting into a cage. There's nothing wrong with the circle getting rough, but those losers ruin it for everybody. But thanks for having the muscle there to deal with it!

As a Pennsylvanian, I was really pumped to hear that this awesome lineup was coming to a nearby venue. I would have preferred "Crocodile Rock" for those of you who know it, but anyway... The Chameleon Club was VERY small-- maybe 200 people could crowd into the main stage area. But it was nice and grungy and had an underground feel. Unfortunately, this translated to sub-par acoustics, and the microphones didn't sound great at any point during the night. Otherwise the concert area was fine-- small but intimate, and enough room for people to get up close by the fence, enough room for a stupid hardcore-karate dancing pit, and enough room to sit back a bit and take in the atmosphere. First off, TWBD was replaced by The World We Knew, described as "Long Island's metalcore powerhouse." TWWK played breakdown-heavy music with a few catchy riffs, but these guitar riffs were often fully over-shadowed by the constant double-bass-peddling. The vocal quality was low, as almost everything sounded like a howling, pig-squeal-esque sound. Overall 5/10. Then came Born of Osiris, who impressed the crowd with technically stunning riffery, excellent stage presence (fun, exciting, and energetic), and heavy breakdowns. The vocal quality improved as they played, and one could faintly hear the keyboard if they weren't too busy headbanging. Overall 7/10 Winds of Plague were definitely the most popular of the early acts, and they were a ton of fun. Kristen Randall and Johnny Plague provide more than enough charisma for 5 bands. Their setlist was questionable in my opinion, but they had some punishing breakdowns and had a lot of fun with the crowd. Vocal quality dipped back to semi-clear growls, but still very-distorded howling-screeching higher vocals-- I only say this because I know how WoP vocals SHOULD sound, and the vox were slightly off. Overall: 7/10 THEN CAME CHIMAIRA. With excellent stage presence, top-notch sound quality (vocals and all), they were lengths above the other bands that night. Their heavy songs truly carried quite well in the intimate venue, and frontman Marc Hunter had no trouble getting the crowd moving and moshing and headbanging at 110% percent. Overall: 8.5/10

Chimaira is one of my favorite bands so it was great to see them again. Also the other bands were great, and i now listen to all their music. My only complaint was that it was hot as hell in there, even Chimaira said it was one of the hottest venues they've ever played

Great show. Alot of decent up and coming bands. The kids that were at the show (approx. age group 14-19) were "dancing" rather obnoxiously. That was a bit weird and slowly grew aggrivating. The band that played before Chimaira, the headliner, were called Winds of Plague, and they were good! Chimaira had the largest following and the best crowd.
