This was a great concert for any of you Faramarz Aslani fans or just fans of flamenco music. I saw Aslani 4 years ago when he was by himself, now he has a whole band. It really helps bring his music to life when he has other elements added. The flute player made the biggest difference, adding fun little trills. The bassist was very enthusiastic, and would also make some funny looking faces. If you go to the concert you'll know what I mean. Aslani played all of his famous songs and did not disappoint. One thing I did not like was the sound of the band was sometimes overpowering the guitar playing by Aslani, wish they would fix that. Overall, it was a fun night and I recommend it if you like at least 5 of his songs.

Faramarz & Babak were great. I loved the entire show, the great classic and new songs from Faramrz Aslani and Babak's playing. They played over 2 hours. The combination of songs were great, somewhat on the mellow side. The accompanying band was good, but they were not always in sync with each other. I particularly liked couple of the traditional music solos that Babak played, except when the guy on flute started playing and he was totally out of line from the song. I hope Babak plays those just solo and not mix it with any other instruments or players. The crowd was very good too. I particularly liked it that the ushers allowed people to take pictures (no flash) or record some of the performance.
