What a voice, what a gift, what an amazingly humble woman. It's just her and her pianist on stage. No other instruments are needed, or missed. A true singer! Ms. Holliday is still in perfect voice. I was blown away! I'd definitely go and see her perform again!

What a special and personal show Jennifer Holliday is doing. And what a special person she truly is! She is heartfelt, she has the most unique voice on the planet, and she makes me cry every time I play And I'm Telling You. She said, in her show, that And I'm Telling You has affected relationships, and this applies to me too. For her current show, inbetween songs, she told us personal stories about her life and it was so meaningful to hear everything. I feel like I know so much about her now. Jennifer announced that she just put out a new album, and the whole audience was thrilled to hear this. She sang At Last, and it was the most moving rendition of this song that I have EVER heard. This woman is truly a treasure. I was ready to travel anywhere in the US to see her sing, and when I heard she was coming to South Florida, I was ecstatic. Jennifer, your voice is so special, so unique, so wonderful, so powerful, I could listen to you forever. And I will.

Since I first saw Jennifer Holliday perform on Broadway I always wanted to see her again. It was the best live performance I ever saw in my life. I lost my breath. When I heard she was playing nearby I raced to the computer to get tickets. Although she has mellowed her powerful side is still there. She can go from a sweet softness to a roar. I love Jennifer Holliday you feel the song you don't just hear it. Wow! "At Last" blew me away and so did her signature song "I'm Not Going."

Jennifer Holliday's concert in Aventura was a memorable musical and emotional experience. The combination of her incredible vocal abilities, her dramatic gifts, and her emotional vulnerability and openness, created a transcendent evening. I strongly recommend that anyone who has the chance to see Jennifer perform, take advantage of the opportunity.

The setting was small and intimate with just Jennifer accompanied by her pianist. Jennifer was on top of her game. She performed from a catalog of Broadway love songs culminating with her signature song, I'm telling you, I'm not going. She is an outstanding vocalist and is very personable on stage. I would catch her show again and again!!

I selected this event as my husband and I love music, and it was his birthday. Parking -If you dont get there early (to find a park close to the event) then you have to park in one of the lots. The lot directly across the street (across from "will call") was very convenient, and affordable ($10). You can also park farther away in other lots and pay less ($5 -$8) however, you will have some walking to do. Theatre-The Paramount is still nice, the seats are relatively comfortable and for the most part you can see pretty well. The venue is older, but just fine. Master of Ceremonies -Nickki Thomas, was funny, and kept the show moving. There were technical difficulties, (sound system, lighting) but she handled them well. Music -The children's concert (opening act) was cute. The Gospel Choir was very good, but only sang 2 songs. Even the kids sang 3? Tuck and Patti were excellent. And Jennifer Holiday was outstanding!

This was an inspiration, music and words that further the realization of living the Life that Dr. King contemplated, the life that he lived must also be the life we Live, ....walking that walk, speaking truth to power and always operating from an inward experience of Universal Love for one's self and for humanity, Heaven is here and now if we want it to be and, the ambassador of Peace, Prem Rawat, in the tradition of MLK, speaks of the power of love and the Knowledge of the self as the most powerful and liberating force that can bring peace and prosperity to all. Such is the Ghandi/Howard Thurman-nspired legacy of MLK, may the memory of his good work inspire us all to look within

The Paramount is one of the most amazing buildings I have ever been in. It is simply magnificant. Just marveling at all of its Art Deco glory would have made the event worth it for this aspect alone. The short movie clips of MLK Jr. that were played intermittently throughout the evening were so inspiring and allowed me to actually feel MLK Jr.'s energy. To see how someone inspired people to risk jail or give thier lives for a cause is remarkable and to understand the peaceful, loving methods that were the basis for the cause, was astounding. The audience was great too. It was practically an interactive evening with folks calling out their praise for the performers. Living Jazz puts on this event and many worthy others, including Jazz Camp West that my son attends during the summer in the forests of La Honda. This is the second year I have attended the MLK Jr. Tribute with my teenage son. I look forward to many more celebrations like this.

I had no idea that I would be sittting through 3 longs hours of a tribute show. I wanted to see Jennifer Holliday, but had to wait until the last hour for her to take the stage. The local acts were okay, but they all didn't need to perform as long as they did...I probably won't go back next year.

The soaring exuberance of those voices and their sheer joy of performing left such a wonderful feeling that lasted long after the event. I definitely am glad I went. Tuck and Patty were so soulful, it was magical when she sang Bring a little Heaven right here.

After many years of waiting to see this incredible talent, I finally had a chance to hear Jennifer Holliday sing live. She has an incredible instrument that deserves more attention than producers have given her. Her voice is still incredible and deserves to be recorded compared to the sound being placed on most CDs today. My only concern is that she didn't have a live band backing her up, but this can be attributed to the fact she isn't getting produced by the music industry and the cost this would present. I applaud her for continuing to bring her music to her fans. Her chats between the songs made the performance very personable. It was a very memorable evening!

The show was fabulous, it was very intimate her sharing her life story in between songs. My husband is not familiar with her music nor her career, his consistent comment was "she has some powerful lungs"

I did not like the show at all. I think that I wasted my money and was not prepared for standing through an entire performance. I guess I just did not understand what Row 101 seat E meant. I know that I will not be attending any other performances that are standing room only at Harrahs or any other venue.
