Bli Summer Jam

I suppose it's a toss up with the weather, but we had a beautiful night and a great line-up! I brought three 11yo girls and they had a blast. The crowd was great and there didn't seem to be a bad seat in the house (although we did notice from up where we were that, when the tide came in toward the end of the night, the first 10 rows had a few inches of water). The screens allowed for everyone to get a close-up glimpses of Shawn Mendes, Alessia Cara and the Backstreet Boys (who still put on an impressive show). The DJs are fun, but a LOT of stimulation. Cool, but maybe a little intense (sensory-wise) for young ones or sensitive people. In all, 11 acts and lots of dancing and hands in the air. Started around 6. We left at midnight and Meghan Trainor (last act) was still singing. Our seats up in the mezzanine were perfect for our group - a great vantage to view the crowds end enjoy the show, without the intensity and rowdiness that can sometimes occur closer to the stage. We also enjoyed the comfort of shade the entire time. (The NN/MM rows also had the overhang of the balcony above in the event of rain without obstructing the view in any way). We were allowed to bring in one sealed bottle of water and a few snacks, which was great. Food/drinks area always pricier. Some booths set up outside the arena in case you want to walk around a bit between acts.

Had great time, bands were great, very good lineup.

The concert was amazing! My sons first concert and he absolutely loved all the artists. I would recommend going back! Great for the kids

1st time visiting Jones beach and bli summer jam and it did not disappoint. Most of the acts were geared toward the teenager age range, but even in my 20s I was still having an amazing time. My top 3 moments were hailee steinfeld, chainsmokers and shaggy. Also was great seeing performers like Alessia Cara and Daya for the first time. Had to take a star off because food lines can get very long, get there when the doors open.

SUPER SHOW!! The main acts were just great ! Meaghan Trainor, Iggy Azalea and Rachel Platten were outstanding along with Fifth Harmony who rocked it! They did take too much time between sets and could made up some time after the 30 minute rain delay by switching sets faster.

Even though we got soaked performances were awesome. Tributes to christina grimmie were touching - so sad

We love, love, love the concert. All the artists were fantastic. My daughter loved fifth harmony the most but every single performance was amazing! We had so much fun-including the rain storm moment we had there- I'll definitely go next summer, if the radio has another planned.

The concert was great, Melanie Martinez and Shaggy were awesome. However the time on the ticket said 3pm, I was not aware that the concert started at 5, until I got online to get in line. The performer in the show have a large young fan base and the time of their performances were not based on that following. Iggy Azalea's performance was not appropriate for Children under the age of 16, she just cursed way to much, I was actually happy my kids fell asleep during her performance. Unfortunately the rain caused a 40 minute delay in the show and 2 of the main performers that my kids (age 8 & 6), wanted to see did not come on until after 10 and we had to leave before they performed, because my kids fell a sleep. Had the concert started at 3, as it said on my ticket they would have been able to see the whole concert.

While overall, I wasn't particularly unimpressed with one specific artist, I can hands down say Shawn was the best performer of the night. That being said, there was lots of talk about him being there before hand, so I was disappointed with the fact that he did not have a longer set than the other not so anticipated artists. Shawn was the main reason I was there, I drove 6 hours to see him, but when he came out on stage the whole places atmosphere changed. Alessia Cara was also amazing, she has fantastic stage presence and sounded amazing. I didn't think Bebe's dancing was appropriate for every age group that was at the show. But if you were there, you should've been prepared for everything. The Liam Payne and Zedd duet was great along with Stay that Alessia did with Zedd was unforgettable. Hands down it was an unforgettable night Especially for a birthday weekend.

The concert started over 30 min late (I know because a staff member gave me the set list). There were way too many acts for a scheduled 6pm start, especially considering that the headliner - Meghan Trainor - wasn't going to go on until 11 but it became almost 12 AM with the delays. And the venue would not allow alcohol into the stands because there were too many children there (fine, understood) but then how can they have the concert going until well after mid-night if they are catering to children? I was with my kids and we had to leave at 11 without seeing the last two acts. The concert should have started at 3 PM. The food lines were INSANELY long. Not all the outposts were open. They ran out of pizza twice. Major bummer and would not recommend this concert series again.

10/10 experience , would definitely go again & recommend it to friends.

I go every year. I love seeing all the artist at one time. There s a lot of chit chat in between performers. They need to speed up the set up time!

Between the venue and the artists line up, it was my daughter s best experience in her whole 18 year old life thus far!

Very fun show with a great group of artists! Great singing and dancing! A little long, more than 6 hours. WBLI ,DJ s kept the down time between artisits moving well!

We had only planned to see Why Don't We but we were blown away by the number and caliber of acts there were! Totally worth the ticket price. Beautiful view. Free parking. Security was smooth to get through. Merchandise prices higher than most places. Expect to wait an hour on a food line. Great time - Hope to go back again!

What an unforgettable experience. I loved and enjoyed every minute of it. Each and every performance was perfect. Definitely looking forward to the next one.

BLI Summer Jam was the BEST concert i ve been to. Soo much energy. So many great artists! I had a blast. Cant wait to go next year

Best part, my teens screaming their heads off over Shawn Mendes. That was the highlight. I, unfortunately given the billing on this event, thought he d be last and would have a longer set. 4 songs? Seriously? Then he s followed by Back Street Boys (somewhat irrelevant and trying to make a comeback), Marshmello (should have been hype FOR Shawn not after), then hundreds left before Meghan Trainor took the stage (that speaks volumes.) Just do everyone a favor and bill the acts appropriately so it doesn t feel like false advertising. Venue issues with parking and fast pass.

I drove several teenagers to Jones Beach for WBLI Summer Jam. Amazingly there was NO parking fee! Thanks for that! Parking was effortless. Security check was not too long. It was family friendly and the concert itself was the best ever according to my young friends.

The show was amazing. I had a great time. The only 2 things that I was disappointed with, is the tickets said 5 and the show didn't actully start till 6. Which would have been okay excepy we weren't allowed to go to our seats till 5:30 which also made the outside area very packed. The other thing I was dissapointed with which hasn't changed is getting out of the parking lot at the end of thr show is just a disaster.

From Why Don t We to Dua Lipa, Alessia Cara, Bebe Rexa-crowd pleaser, Shawn Mendes, the Backstreet Boys- great sound, to Meghan Trainor. It was a night to remember! Jones Beach provides a beautiful venue for all shows! I can t wait until next summer JAM!

Would have rather sern fewer acts play longer. Too much downtime. Have an act sing for 15 minutes and then set up the next one for 15 minutes, kind of dumb.

The back street boys should have been left out! There was too much down time in between bands! I wish it would flow better!

Why put on the ticket doors open at 4:00pm Show at 5:00 pm They wouldn t let us go to our seats till after 6:00pm we waiting in line to go up the stairs for hours. Show didn t start till 6:30 The transition between artist took way too long. And we did not know who was next half the time.

Everything was amazing! I had more fun than I imagined!!

I love that you can see various artists at this event, it took too long in between each act to set up. Started at 5pm and ended around 1am next day due to length of time as well as possibly one if the artists were late.

Need to move the concert along. Too much down time between artists. Went too late!

My main draw was martin garrix, so as soon as I found out he was there I bought the tickets assuming he would close. Since their set times are not posted I didn't know that he would almost open the show at 540. Coming from work, I barely caught the last 5 minutes of him. The rest were okay, the time between sets took 10-15 mins while the acts took around the same time. With strict bouncers, this is a good place to take your teenagers and feel safe. No re-entry whats so ever. I'd recommend the billboard hot100 fest

I feel this year was not as good. Took too long between artists for set up. And the bass was so loud and you couldn't hear some of the artist sing.

First, the ticket time said 3pm. We arrived at 2, so we could get on line, go to bathroom, etc. The gates opened at 4:00 to get inside the venue and the show started at 5. I don't know if it is always like that, or if there was a technical issue- no one told us. Each act played 3-4 songs, (about 15 minutes) and then there is another 15 minutes while they change out the set, instruments, etc. (A rotating stage would move this along faster!). Some acts realized their audience was mostly 15 and under, and bleeped or changed lyrics accordingly. Others did not, and I was embarrassed for my kids. But if you listen to WBLI, you know that this music is not always appropriate for kids anyway... The seemed to go on stage in order of popularity, with the larger names and set lists at the end. I knew almost none of the acts, but the kids seemed to figure out that was the way it was organized. The concert started at 5pm and ended at 11:55pm. It was the longest concert I have ever been to. The kids had a great time, rain and all. It was like listening to WBLI live for 9 hours. In between acts, they played WBLI and the DJ's came out and spoke a little. It is mostly kids/teens and moms. There were some families with boys and dads, and some 20somethings with dates, but mostly women, so they changed most of the men's rooms into ladies rooms with security, as 90% of the audience was female. If you like this music, you definitely get your money's worth. Plan accordingly and bring ponchos, because it almost always rains at Jones Beach! And be warned, the tshirt booths close around 9, so don't plan on getting a tshirt on the way out. Or do, and save yourself the $40 when they are closed lol.
