Adele

Bluesy British pop singer-songwriter Adele Adkins, who performs as Adele, had a remarkable rise after she exploded onto the scene with her 2008 debut album, 19, and followed it up with her even more successful sophomore release, 21, in 2011. Those albums sold more than 12 million albums in the United States alone, and spawned the No. 1 singles "Rolling in the Deep," "Someone Like You," and "Set Fire to the Rain." By the end of 2011, Adele -- who counts Etta James and Beyonce among her influences -- was selling enough tickets to fill large venues and garnering positive reviews in the US and the UK.

On October 28, 2016 at approx. 8:45 pm; "Hello" from Adele resonated and echoed throughout the arena, and the eyes blinked as she said Hello. Thus beginning one of the most memorable and best nights in my life. I was 19 and a server at Ruby Tuesday and I saved enough money to witness her perform. Adele's Music sounds amazing on the radio, but if you ever get the chance to see her live you will agree she sounds even better live.

She makes it look so easy and so effortless. Hearing her sing live is truly amazing, and listening to the stories behind the songs makes you fall in love with the songs even more. If you like her music, you will be blown away by the power of her voice in a live concert. She's got such a great personality and flowers the concert with honest moments of anecdotes, confessions, and foul language. She's absolutely adorable and I can't wait to see her perform again.

Adele's voice is the best I've ever heard live. I couldn't believe that she sounded as good, if not better than her album tracks! She is also very beautiful and funny. She takes time between songs to give the audience info about each song and was really very charming. Go see her!!!

I had never heard of the opening act The Civil Wars, but have since downloaded their albums. Great voices, simple arrangements, I really like them. Adele sounded absolutely amazing. One of the best live performances I have ever seen. She sounds almost exactly like her album. She modified one song, the high notes on "Rolling in the Deep" and that was it. Her interactions with the audience were great. Adele is incredibly talented and it was nice to see her basking in the adoration of the audience. She said it was a little weird having to sing all these songs about her own emotional tormet and seeing how people responded to them. All in all, it was a great show.

The Civil Wars did an excellent job opening up for Adele. They were so sweet after the entire concert meeting with all their fans and they signed a copy of their record for my brother which he has been listening to everyday since! To put it bluntly Adele is perfection. Her set was awesome and her voice sounded just like it did on 19 and 21. I can't wait to see her in Asheville!

Adele is amazing, she has an awesome voice, but she should've performed at a different venue, with more seating as her songs aren't too energetic. After standing for an hour, I felt dizzy and nearly passed out. The crowd was very into her, and I have a feeling she might be a witch, sucking all of our energy. One girl was extremely rude to me as I tried to get by her.

Adele exceeded expectations, she was amazing, clearly a natural talent at the top of her game. The success of the 2nd album has taken Adele to new heights & in the show she blended melancholy classics with some of her more upbeat examples to give a very entertaining performance. The Civil Wars were fascinating, not my usual thing, but captivating & very enjoyable! Finally : I loved the Electric Factory, my first time there, compact venue, great atmosphere

I knew from the moment that I heard Adele was coming back to tour in the US that I would have to see her show. I find more and more these days, singers who sound as good, if not better, live than they do recorded are few and far between. I wasn't surprised at all that Adele is better live than she is recorded (and her recordings are AMAZING!). Not only did she sound beautiful, but she expresses such genuine emotion, and it is so easy to connect with her. It was also lovely to experience her captivating personality. She truly made me wish I could be her best friend. In a word, Adele is FLAWLESS. Prior to the concert, I had not heard of the Civil Wars, who were also wonderful. Both of their voices are wonderful, and I loved the rawness of their stripped-down style. Aside from their talent, their chemistry and performance was so enjoyable to witness (I was SHOCKED that they aren't a couple). Absolutely lovely.

Much has been made of Adele recently, with her new album absolutely taking off. Her show at the Electric Factory was simply amazing. I loved most of it, the only complaint I have is not even related to her performance, it's mostly about the fact that I couldn't move a single inch. Seriously. Anyways, she was simply wonderful. There was an excellent balance of singing and showmanship, and the only way it could've been improved is if everyone in the audience would've shut up a bit so I could've heard more Adele, and less of their off-key additions. I still loved the show, Adele had an amazing setlist, an amazing stage, and simply astounded everyone who was in attendance. I would go see her again in a heartbeat.

Adele was amazing! The place was packed and she was surprised that the crowd knew al the words to all the words. The crowds praises were deafening. I traveled to Philly from DC (where tickets sold out in 1 min) and it was worth the trip. Her voice was better live than on the album. Her voice is soulful, powerful, and absolutely beautiful.

I bought tickets almost a year ago as a Christmas gift for my husband. We are both fans. I love her music but I was not expecting her to be so much better than I could have imagined. Vocally, she was off the charts incredible. She had just finished 95 shows prior to this one but she wasn't tired at all (or at least did not appear so). She was so personable and the entire concert experience was totally set up for the fans. I think she truly understood/felt/appreciated the love and adoration that the audience had and has for her. The visual effects were stunning and only added to the great concert. This is definitely one of the top 3 concerts of my life (I'm almost 50 and I've seen a LOT of people/groups in my time.) I can't imagine anyone being disappointed in the slightest.

So, on a whim, friends and I decided to try to get Adele tickets. I was a little ambivalent at the beginning - did I really want to listen to two hours of sad songs? And, yeah, she has a great voice, but do I really need to be reminded that I'm still alone because of the wrong relationship? Then, I pitched, if the resales get to 2000, should I just sell our tickets. All seemed to be on board with the 1083% profit we would have made. Then, I read that resales were limited, and in fact restricted the way I bought them. THEN, I found out there was an obstruction in my seats (Section 101, Row B, Seats 1-5). So, for 6 months I stressed out about whether or not these seats were even going to be worth going. And nobody could tell me what the obstruction was so I could prepare my out of town guests for the disappointment. OK, that's the backdrop (sorry if that was a little boring...) Jump to the day of the concert (October 11th at the Verizon Center in DC). First off, the immediate relief when we got to our seats. A circular stage was right in front of us, and the obstruction that was noted was a camera that actually blocked the left side of section 100. We had a clear shot to center of the front stage. I was finally relaxed about the seats. On to the concert. The energy of the crowd was high, so we were already having a good time before the concert even started (only slightly late while they rushed to get everyone inside the venue). As 8:00 arrived, the cheers and energy kept rising, and finally, Adele emerged on the circular stage that was placed in the middle of the floor, rising (or rather as the stage lowered) to open with "Hello". We all agreed that the opening, which happened right in front of us made the concert. Close enough to see her facial expressions and singing flawlessly. We could have left happy then. She then moved, flanked by security, of course, to the front stage amidst a thunderous ovation. She isn't a dancer like Janet Jackson, who would have traversed the entire stage, so that we would have been obstructed on the left side of the stage - Adele stayed almost entirely at center stage. So, we never lost sight of her. The way that they designed the video shots of her concert were amazing. Kudos to the camera guys and the video director. It perfectly augmented Adele on stage. Was a complete experience. My worry about two hours of sad songs was addressed. She said even her up tempo songs were about sad topics, but they were up tempo, so she was going to get us up for a few songs (as if the crowd ever went down....), and then we would all cry together. She was very funny with her audience banter. I loved that she engaged audience, talking directly with some and even bringing up two sisters, for what was probably the highlight of the concert for them. And Adele LOVES selfies, so it was fun to watch her pose so that audience could do that. Even on the circular stage, where she returned for a few songs just before the encore, she posed at multiple points of the circle with fans right up against that stage. The encore was electric, closing with "Rolling In The Deep". Vocally, Adele's voice never left the stage. One thing I hate - sorry Janet, but I hate this about your concerts - is when performers point the mike out to the audience to let them sing. It doesn't work for Janet Jackson concerts, or concerts where the vocals are already not the strongest and the focus is performance. But, interestingly, Adele did it a few times and I was struck by how great the audience sounded. It sounded like they were a chorus singing with Adele. But, seriously, all the way through, Adele was strong vocally. Every song was in tune and I could understand the lyrics. Just beautiful. And big. Even the acoustic set she did mid-concert, bringing out band members to mellow out a little - by the by, mellow out with a voice that big was even better. And, songs from her new album, which I didn't really get into - "Water Under The Bridge", "Send My Love" and "When We Were Young" - were so good that now I am powering through the new album daily. Where she had to show vulnerability, well, it was not hard to feel it. "Make You Feel Feel My Love" and "Someone Like You" were songs that I could feel her emotion and easily tie it to my own. But then she'd follow up with an even sadder song, but up tempo, that you lifted back up. She was on the circular stage in front of us for my favorite songs - "Hello", "Chasing Pavements" and "Someone...", so I felt like I definitely got my money's worth for this concert. The curtains draped around her that showed video of her singing were inventive and quite visually appealing. Even more well staged was "Set Fire To The Rain" on the circular stage, where rain poured down around her. The fact that she didn't do my all-time favorite Adele song, "Right As Rain", and I still thought it was an A+++ concert says a lot. Adele did an amazing job engaging the entire audience in the concert - from traversing two stages to shining lights to the rafter seats to include them in a couple of songs. Finally, Adele was styled beautifully. She's quite pretty. Overall, this was one of the best concerts I've been to...ever. Tight and lavishly produced. Entertaining from start to finish. Flawless vocals. By the final song, I was in a great mood. I would definitely do this again.

This was my first concert that features one singer rather than a huge band with dancers and lots of special effects. Everything about this concert was aimed at making it feel like a personal experience despite the thousands of others in the audience. Her voice was strong and beautiful even after over 100 concerts. I love that she had two stages and the large screen so we could see all her facial expressions. I loved the way she told stories and interacted with the audience. It was a fantastic experience in every way!

Adele was beautiful, funny, engaging and her singing was just amazing. I thought the show itself was fantastic. My seats were great, and i liked the way she used both the front and center stages. My biggest complaint is that the show was so short. In total, it was just under 100 minutes, and she sang about 14 songs. The start time for the show changed from purchase from 7:30 to 8:00, as she had no opening act. She didn't start until 8:35 and wrapped up her main set at around 9:35. After about 5 minutes, she came back for an encore and which wrapped up around 10:10. So, I paid nearly $175 for about 90 minutes of performance. Without an opening act, I would've expected her to play for AT LEAST 2 full hours, if not a little longer. I feel a bit cheated, really.

Huge voice, great personality! Adele certainly does not need alny bells and whistles to impress. It is refreshing to see such a star being so natural, funny and so appreciative. As for her vocal performance AMAZING. No vocal show off, just a beautiful, strong vulnerable full of passion and tenderness. I personally am not a fan of the ACC acoustics. The sound system is top notch I am sure, but obviously the stadium itself,is not built for musical performances, so the sound seems distorted. Adele's voice stayed pure. Thank you for a beautiful experience!

Adele shined giving a fantastic performance and presenting a warm interaction with her fans. This was a memorable show punctuated with great performances, particularly Set Fire To The Rain and Make You Feel My Love. Unfortunately, the management of American Airlines Arena leaves much to be desired, especially in its treatment of guests with handicaps. I attempted to make special arrangements with the ushers to allow my wife with severe arthritis in her knees to have access to an elevator to leave the floor of the arena. I was promised this would not be a problem. However, when we attempted to leave an usher and her supervisor engaged in a lengthy disagreement over whose responsibility it was to lead us to the elevators. The the supervisor lead us down a hallway and abandoned us saying the elevator was just around the corner, when it was not. Instead, we found ourselves being caught in a line leading outside and into a rainstorm with 30 mile per hour wind. We weren't really prepared to set fire to the rain and got drenched. So much for the complaining. We truly enjoyed the show. Adele said it may be a while before she tours again. Not too long we hope.

Adele is a true artist. She is funny, talented and sounds as good live as in recordings. It was very fun and her voice just took over the place. The only dessapoinment is that with my tickets there was a pacakge that included some souveniers and VIP cards and even thought I bougth the tickets a year ago the pacakage did not arrive until the day AFTER the concert... what was the point? Don't know if this is a problem from ticketmaster or Adele's camp. Besides that it was a show worth seeing.

It's been four days since I saw Adele and I'm still not over it. I had never attended any kind of major event like this before so I honestly wasn't sure what to expect. But Adele was phenomenal, amazing, wonderful, etc. She sounded just like she does in the studio and sometimes even better than that. I loved some of the changes she made here and there to a few of the songs (especially Rolling in the Deep) and I wish she would either record those versions or just release a live CD/DVD/Blu-ray from this tour. I also really loved her little talks throughout the night. If she wasn't singing, she was talking, and I enjoyed every minute of those two hours. She says she'll be back with new music and hopefully a tour in a couple of years, and I can only hope that if she does, I'll be able to get tickets again.

If you have the opportunity to see Adele, do whatever it takes to make it happen! Her voice is as incredible live as it is on her records. If this isn't enough to draw you in, she talks to the crowd in the most relatable way. She's funny, humble, emotional and extremely appreciative of fans love for her and her music. I didn't want the show to end and I like her even more than I already did.

This is a singer that can fill an arena with her voice alone. No pyrotechnics needed. She came out with Hello... and my daughter wept. Got these tickets for my daughter for Christmas and on her 23rd birthday we attended the concert. I am so glad we made the drive to Miami to see this incredible vocalist and artist. She's also extremely charming and lovely to her fans. She poses for selfies with them, and is not afraid to be up close and personal. I love it when singers talk and tell the story of the song. The bad? Well, our seats were in the 400 section and the jumbo tron obscured the view of the main stage! I actually can't believe that Amer. Airlines Arena sells these tickets without disclosing that information. We still had a great time but were bummed about it. Also the acoustics up there were not ideal and it was at times difficult to hear Adele's cool stories. She was such an amazing artist though, that we enjoyed every single minute despite the crappy view. :)

To be in the audience at an Adele concert was just incredible! The sound system at the AA arena was excellent & it was an awesome evening with a once in a lifetime performer. Adele is very chatty in between songs & she talks so fast it sounded like she was speeded up but when she sings..... Ahhhhh

By far the best show I've ever seen! I was lucky to get floor seats so we were so close to the stage. From the moment she came out she was funny, real & sounded unrealistically great! If you think she's great on albums...just wait until you hear her live! I'm so happy I was able to get tickets, seeing Adele live is like seeing a unicorn lol. Might never happen again but it was magical!

I've attended many concerts in my life time but I think the Adele concert was the best ever!! She is so entertaining with her chatter to the audience. Listening to her voice live adds a feeling that you can never know by listening to her on the radio or CD. I saw her in Nashville as well. Her songs have words everyone can relate to. Sad this will be her last tour for many years. She said that she try's keeping her family and singing life separate. Wants to have another baby. I totally respect that and look forward to hearing new music when she comes back. If you ever get an opportunity to see Adele live don't hesitate!! ❤️ Adele!!

We had the great pleasure of seeing Adele a second time on this tour after seeing her last month in Boston. She has a lovely way of making a packed arena feel like her living room and you are an invited guest. Her banter and sense of humor make for a really enjoyable evening. "I don't know if you've heard, but I really talk a lot." Adele is just sharing herself as she does with her music; nothing is hidden. If anything, the Nashville show was even better than the Boston show, though the performances were virtually identical. I think much had to do with the venue itself as well as glorious weather. Our seats were almost the same for both shows, but in the Bridgestone Arena, we were much closer to the stage and once again, the band and crew performed to perfection. Can't wait for the next tour!

So happy I had the chance to catch this show. One of a kind. How can Adele entertain thousands and make the audience feel that you're in her living room with her. Personable, engaging, humble and human. She's amazing. The set list was the same from the other shows which everyone was happy with. Show started and ended at decent times for her audience. Nothing wrong with that. Her voice and her band were on key the entire time. The stage set up was great. Video show fabulous but not distracting. Fantastic experience. Entertainment like this doesn't happen often. The year wait was worth it!

WelcomeHome
In the cold of this last winter when tickets to her entire North American Tour went on sale, we all were staggered by the cost. It was hard to wrap your head around a ticket price of $500 per person, but I am so glad I did. We had fabulous seats that allowed us to see everything that went on with clarity and for my husband to capture on film. But most importantly we felt that we were there with her every minute of the 2 1/2 hours that she performed non-stop. The staging was masterful. She arrived from under the stage and rose on a silent mechanical platform that raised her up and into view as the words to "Hello" filled Madison Square Garden. From that moment forward we were treated to a roller coaster ride of music and conversation that was as easy as if we were sitting in our own kitchen talking with an old friend. Adele has become a master at talking with her audience in between songs and making them feel as if they are truly friends. We were her 85th concert (!!) on the series and she told us without guile that she would be retiring for awhile after this but that she would be back. I can't imagine how hard she has worked to deliver over and over the amazing concert we saw. Adele is one of those rare persons whose voice in concert is exactly like their recorded voice. She opens her mouth and you hear exactly what you hear on your CD. Amazing! If you have the chance, pay whatever it takes to see this woman. She is priceless.

As a single performer, Adele takes her concert performance to a whole new level. Her performance is spot on and you would think it's a recording...it's not...she is perfect live as she is recorded. But, what makes her show different is that she talks TO the audience. She has fun, she explains why she wrote a particular song, where she was when she 'made' it, why she keeps her personal life personal. It was like she was your BFF! She was funny, sweet and a top performer. Her orchestra was fantastic. The show was on two stages and both were used well. There were some effects that were perfect, but this was ALL ADELE! Totally loved every minute of every second of this fantastic performance!

Adele is a consummate entertainer. She is professional, warm and cares about the fan experience. She had a stage in the middle of the ground floor and large projected holograms so everyone, no matter where they sat, felt up close and personal to her. Her voice gave me goosebumps and her jokes made me laugh. Best concert of my life so far!

This was what I would consider a bucket list moment. I have been a huge fan of Adele since her 19 album. I wasn't sure I'd ever get to see her live. She did not disappoint. From the start of the show (which was as close to starting on time as you can get at MSG) to the last note, I was in awe. The stage setup was simple but that's exactly what i expected. I came to hear her sing and entertain and that's what I got. I have been to many shows by many different artists but this may have been the best show I've ever seen. It was quite intimate which is pretty hard to accomplish with a sold out show. But I left feeling like I had my own personal concert. She connected with the crowd unlike any other artist I've ever seen. Going between two stages allowed the entire audience to have a good seat. The sounds was great. Her voice was perfect. I only wish I could have gone to more than one show. I'll be lining up if she decides to tour again. She was AMAZING!!!!
