We haven't seen this band in ages, but we decided to go because we had a blast back in the day when we saw them. Once they started to play it totally reminded of why we loved them when we first saw them! The lead singer has so much energy and is so fun to watch. The rest of the band is really great as well. Highly recommend!

JBB gave an excellent performance! They were wonderfully connected with each other and that was felt very cool. There was a spiritual aspect to the band and they deserve much praise for that. Kevin interacted with the audience and that was Amazing. The horn trio added an additional beauty to the music. I would go see them again at any and every opportunity. Very much worth the ticket price. Thank You JBB! You made three hours of dancing into an experience I will never forget!!!

Hands down The Culture Room is the best venue that holds concerts in South FLA. With Revolution Live coming in a close 2nd. A very good opportunity for bands to have intimate performaces for the fans as there isn't a bad spot in the place, so long as you make time to show up early. You will be right up on the band. The upper story where I was for this particular show, though not too much room, is still the best spot in my opinion. You get a good overview of the entire stage while still remaining pretty close as if you were on the bottom floor. JBB mixes dub with roots, rock, funk even, or what they like to call "Future Reggae". My shirt bounced off my chest with the Bass lines from bass player Nate Edgar to tracks they played like "Follow Into Shadow" with the dubby reverb delayed echoes, just gave a much relaxed perfect chill vibe while still being able to make the crowd move. What I luv about JBB is you know they are having as much fun performing their songs as people/fans were hearing the music. I think each one of them danced and moved around on stage as much as the next guy did. I was worried at first as I couldn't believe there wasn't awhole lot of people there. Wraps & Kush who opened for them killed it and did a great job for playing in front of a small crowd. It was amazing to see how the place filled up as time drew closer to John's Brown Body's arrival. Stellar show and would recommend to anyone who has not seen this band, to go out and do so. You will not have wasted your money whatsoever, and I bet you'll go out and purchase some of their music once you've seen them live. Pressure Points, Amplify, and for dub lovers JBB in DUB are good album starting points my friends. Peace!

I never thought I'd be the one to complain about volume level, but I have to say that the music was so ridiculously loud that night that we wound up leaving early because of how painful it was. I might have been able to convince the wife to stay for the whole set, but JBB didn't help their own cause by taking almost an hour to come on set after Spiritual Rez. Love your music guys, but didn't enjoy the live show at all...

JBB was the best show I have seen in S. FL in a long time. The band was on all night and the sound was great. Can't wait to see them again. My play list has been changed to all JBB for the week.

I had only seen John Brown's Body once before a few years back in Boulder, CO at the Fox Theater. I had no idea who they were. I just thought they killed it. The overall sound was so good it was like listening to a CD. Nothing was too loud and you could hear every instrument clearly. The bass player sound just pulses so deep you have to dance. The singer's voice was like something I had never seen live. It's like he is not forcing. The lines just come out so smooth. I am usually not a huge fan for live reggae but these guys I would definitely recommend. The horn section, the timing/chord changes just make these guys more dynamic and interesting than your average 2-3 chord "chuck-a-chink-a-chuck-a" reggae outfit. The Roxy is a great place to see a show because it is so small. I like being close to band, feeling the energy. It seems the tables in the back are a waste of space. That could more dance floor dancing real estate! I never heard of Toubab Krewe before. Most cool and very interesting. A very unique sound and combination of styles, sounds and rhythms. You will be dancing!

often times you will pick up an album and the quality far out does the live show, but that is not the case with John Brown's Body. Amplify was such a gravitational album being that everyone I have handed it to has fallen in love with it. The album appears to have caught every aspect to captify a general audience while sticking to their very own signature sound. The live show blew my mind the first time I saw them at Mishiwaka and they had outdone themselves again at the Gothic last Friday. I think one quality that is far unstated on the album is the pure talent of the bassist. His bass-lines were pure and effectual at the perfect level. It's definitely something special when you can see a whole band come together so effectively. Great show! Buy your ticket for this tour!!!

Definitely a great show! The energy was right on. Both opening bands were great. I had been wanting to hear Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad for some time and I am so glad they were there. But JBB...I love you!! Looking forward to seeing you guys back in South Florida real soon!! Hopefully you'll play Two Bulls next time. Keep doing what your doing! Love it!

2nd time seeing these guys and once again, another great live show. Their thick thumping Bass, funky keyboards, dub style echos, and stellar brass horns remind one of original Roots Reggae from the 70's. They have however added some modern twists : more R & B / Rock-ish vocals from lead singer Elliot. Even though i prefer their side shoot off Band 10ft Ganja Plant for "CD" home/car listening, JBB "Probably" (? never seen 10ft ?) - is best heard LIVE up close than via recorded media.

I've seen J.B.B. many times, but this time I was going with my sister who hasn't seen them live yet. After the show we spoke about the show and some of the things we said were the best way to sum it up: "John Brown's Body live is like a religious experience. It's as if some higher power brings the message of peace, love & awareness to everyone in the room. All this happens to the soundtrack of this amazing band that melts reggae, rock , hip-hop, r&b, and world music together so beautifully. And that happens everytime you see them." Needless to say my sister is now a huge fan. it's not surprising to me, that's how I got hooked.

As soon as i heard that two of my favorite reggae bands were playing together, i had to get tix. The Black Seeds (from New Zealand) are on their first US tour, thanks to John Brown's Body, who closed the evening with an amazing set. It seemed that most of the people in the crowd didn't know about The Black Seeds, but I can assure you that they're fans now. I got to meet and have drinks w/ members of both bands, and they're all very cool and nice. I highly recommend getting both bands' albums, and seeing them live if u get the chance. They're both continuing the true roots movement that is good for the soul.

Concert was awseome! I've been waiting for Passafire to come around and I have never seen them live before. Their bass player was amazing! they had the whole crowd jumping up and down and dancing their whole set. It was nice to see them at 8x10 because the venue is a little smaller so it easier to get right up to the stage :) John Browns Body was great as well!! I love how they have brass players in the band it adds so much to the music and you don't really see alot of brass insturment layers any more. I would definatly reccomend checking out both of these bands, they're great and alot of fun!!!

John Brown's Body played with such high energy, it was contagious. You could tell they were really loving the music. The songs sounded exactly like their recordings, very impressive. I danced my butt off! I can't wait to see them again.
