Shirley Caesar

This was a very inspirational concert. It was a great honor to be there as one the many mothers to be celebrated.

My mom loves Pastor Shirley Ceaser and this year is her 80th Birthday, she had a heart bypass and the Dr.didnt think she would make it and she did, then she suffered a stroke and didnt think that she would walk again but bottom line, going to see Pastor Shirley was on her bucket list and she had the time of her life

All the artist were dynamic! the atmosphere was just right... People were excited, and the sound/lights were perfect.

I attended with 2 friends and we all enjoyed the celebration, however everyone agreed that the comedian did not fit well with the occasion. Many of the singers moved into proclaiming the Word of God as the Holy Spirit dictated, so the transition to the comic's sometimes irreverent routine was disruptive to the flow.

This was an absolute wonderful concert. Well church service. God showed up And showed out. I'm a huge fan of all three that performed but Shirley Caesar shut it down. LeAndria Johnson set the atmosphere and James continued and Shirley took us home. I would love to see them all again next year but it would be nice to have Marvin Sapp as well or Earnest Pugh!!!!

I purchased tickets for my mom, auntie and two cousins. From their responses, they had a wonderful time. They said they stood up from the opening acts until Mrs. Caesar was finished. There was nothing but great praise for all performers. My relatives were caught up in emotions from singing, dancing, crying, and clapping their hands to the sounds of great gospel music. Shirley's performance was a huge departure from the weak, selfish, so-called concert from Yolanda Adams in 2011. Thank God for Pastor Shirley Caesar and her santified, holy filled energy, delivery, and total professionalism. She gave her concert goers exactly what they desired and needed on Good Friday nonetheless. To God be the glory and thank you heavenly father for Mrs. Caesar.

Shirley Caesar (HER PERFRMANCE) was GREAT despite the many other problems of the show. She was so gracious and humble as she made the best of a dificult situation. I don"t t think that the producers prepared sufficiently for her performance . The sound was awful, and microphones were inadequate. Thus, the quality of her performance was greatly diminished. Really, a portion of our ticket money should have been refunded. The setting, and preparation were contemptable. I wonder if other performers are disrepected like she was. The least a host should provide is a properly working sound system!!!

Shirley Ceasar and all of the performers were very uplifting.

this was really a good play...this was my first time experiencing a event like this,,but it was definetly a blessing.

Shirley Ceasar was awesome. Lee Williams was great. Marvin Sapp was magnificient! This was a well put together show. I am glad that I went.

Excellent show the spirit was in the place. The only suggestion is that Shirley Caesar needs to do her own concert. She has so many songs 40 minutes didn t do her justice. She was the headliner and seemed like she song the less out of the three performers. But she is the one and only Shirley Caesar. I truly enjoyed her coming out walking in the crowd and allowing people to sing. It was the perfect gift to my Mother. She is telling everybody about the show. If you have the concert next year I will definitely be attending.

Show started late. Too much time between each act.

I got this for my mother for her mother's day gift and she didn't get home until 2:00am. She had a wonderful time. She loved Marvin Sapp's performance the most and Shirley Caesar. I hope that she will be able to see them in the near future. Amazing show.

The Landmark Theater was very hot and uncomfortable. The show was okay, Shirley Ceasar just wanted to have church. She didn't really sing any songs.

Outstanding event... We really enjoyed the show...

the venue didnt open until 745, 15min before the show was set to start. The line was long, it wrapped around the building. the show didn't start until 20min to 9pm. lee williams was good. marvin sapp was great. shirley caesar was ok, but they put her last and she had a monologue through most of her songs and it just was too slow for 11pm at night. she should have went first.

I absolutely loved Lee Williams and the Spiritual QC's. That group gives you what you pay for. Marvin Sapp had me worried for a song or two because they were unfamiliar songs that were a bit contemporary. But when he sang his greatest hits he tore the stage up. And I loved when he sang the old school medley just before breaking into I Never Would Have Made it. I enjoyed Shirley Ceasar, but I really would have liked to have heard her sing more. Overall, despite the fact that the show started 45 minutes late, we had to listen to and see the same advertisement on the movie screen a billion times, had technical difficulties with sound and more preaching from Mrs. Ceasar than singing, it was a good concert.

Amazing show! So glad I took my Mother! Lee williams Marvin Sapp n Shirley Caesar showed out for the Lord and I loved every minute of it! I love u ma!

Shirley Ceasar, Marvin Sapp, and Lee Williams were all wonderful. Each of their voices and performances were different, yet phenomenal. The cons were that the show started 45 minutes late due to problems in which the Richmond fire department had to ensure the building was safe. Also there were sound problems with each performer. The Landmark stage and sound crew were trying to fix the problem. Would go see again.

I really enjoyed the Shirley Caesar Gospel concert. I pity those who missed the opportunity to see an anointed woman of God minister in song and words of wisdom. My soul was truly blessed and I will go again if she ever comes back to central Florida and I would recommend those who missed her, to catch her the next time around.

Pastor Shirley Ceasar was amazing as always. I love the way she keeps it real, shes humble and has plenty of crowd participation. I love you Pastor and I can't wait to see you again.

Shirley Ceasar never disappoints! The concert was high energy and immensely moving. Definitely a spiritual experience that touches hearts.

I surprised my husband with front row tickets!! Shirley Caesar was absolutely amazing! The joy of being in The First Lady of Gospel's presence, was phenomenal! The spirit of the Lord was truly in the arena!! We love you Pastor Caesar!! Continue to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ!!

I loved the entire program. The young promoter did an EXCELLENT job. I could have done without Dr. Gina though. She was too much. Kierra Sheard and Ja Kaylen Carr was fabulous. Of course Pastor C was her energy filled self. LOVED IT!!!

The show started on time and the main concert with Pastor Shirley Caesar was amazing. Her energy was amazing and youthful @ 87 yrs young. I truly had an awesome time giving honor to our Lord, Jesus Christ! Bring her back to Jacksonville, Fl. Everyone did an upstanding job all around. It was an enjoyable night.

In the advertisement for this event it named all these NBA players that would be there. It mentioned Stephen Curry, and Tyson Chandler, and to my surprise they were not there. I went for some Christian artist as well, which I got to see, but it was not worth $150 I paid. The place was empty, I could have bought a $50 ticket and just moved up. Very deceiving for a Gospel Event. Probably will not go back next year.

I had a great time. She was so energetic, fun, and came out into the crowd. What a performance.

What can be said. The Lord was in the house. Shirley was Amazing. David Mann was totally wonderful. Lee Williams was amazing, and The Canton Spritual left me wanting more. I feel Blessed to have been there.

My family and I enjoyed the event however, the performances of Lee Williams and the Mighty Clouds of Joy seemed to be timed for they were escorted off the stage after a certain amount of time. Shirley Caesar allowed her back up singers to do most of the entertaining only because she had recently been sick. If this is the case, Lee Williams and the MCJ's timing should have been extended. I would have preferred more of them then the back up singers for Shirley. Also the mics weren't working that well but everything else seemed to be very organized. Overall my family and I enjoyed it. Also loved the mc's.

I can't even beginning to try to sum up this event in one word-- Awesome!!

This was a great concert, I would go see this every year. It was on time no waiting hardly at all & the artist was all great.

The event itself is awesome! It is a time that friends and family can get together and celebrate Jesus, but I was disappointed in the fact that Shirley Caesar performed the same show she did last year. The other performers were okay. I was just very disappointed at the end and I noticed a lot of people started leaving. David Mann was awesome! I really enjoyed him, but I wouldn't want to see the same thing next year. If Shirley Caesar is the main attraction next year my friends and I decided we will not attend. Also most of the time we couldn't hear the performers. It seems as though the microphones were not working at times.

My parents really enjoyed this concert. They can't stop talking about it. Every act was their favorite. My mom has always wanted to see Shirley Caesar in concert, but the whole concert was a treat. A concert filled with laughter as well as a joyful noise with fellow worshipers. We need more concerts like this. Thank you for this Amazing concert and what better time than Good Friday.

The Good Friday Celebration was truly a blessing. I look forward to next year.

Concert line up was awesome and even included an impromptu performance from Tamela Mann. All of the artists were on time to the stage and there were no long waits! Enjoyed the concert tremendously.

Excellent concert . This was my first Easter Celebration concert. Looking forward to next years.

This was an awesome production. Everything was on time beginning with Franklin Avenue Baptist choir. the MC's were perfect, the opening act, Lee Williams and the Spiritual QC's, were awesome, everybody was just dynamic. Shirley Caesar is one anointed woman of God. God bless her. And even after over 50 years in the gospel music business The Mighty Clouds of Joy can still hold it down. God bless them all; God bless you for the anointing on them. And David "Mr. Brown" Mann you are still of fool. Continue to be blessed in your endeavors. Wonderful night, just wonderful!!

I took my 88 year mother as a surprise to see Shirley Caesar. To say we enjoyed the show is an under statement. Although the show started a little late, it was well worth the wait. Ms. Caesar engaged the crowd and made you feel like she gave her all. I was happy I took the time to spend the evening with my mom. Another entry to my book of memories with my MOM. Well worth the money.

The concert was surreal! I am still high on the experience. Pastor Shirley Caesar is the ultimate and such a class act. I have always loved her even when I was a young woman. Pastor Shirley Caesar truly touches my heart with her ministry!

Shirley Caesar flew in to support the First Baptist Church of Washington DC celebrate 150 years. The MC was Armstrong Williams who is a member of First Baptist church. Shirley Caesar who will be 75 on Oct 13, 2013 put on a wonderful show. She had sinus trouble, but her backup singers supported her in every way. I felt blessed to be able to experience her up close. She ventured off stage into the audience. She allowed the audience to participate in the show. It made the event very personable. I had a wondeful evening with Mrs. Shirley Caesar. Shirley gave away $100 of her money and the audience chipped in and the pot grew. A woman from the audience received this very generous donation and it was a "miracle!" The First Baptist Church choir performed prior to Mrs Shirley Caesar coming on stage and they sang their hearts out. Bottom line, I would see Mrs. Shirley Caesar again. She is phenomenal and I love her spirit in Christ Jesus! GOD continue to bless her in every way!

Pastor Shirley Caesar was simply amazing. The concert was so uplifting. Her background singers were amazing and her musicians were on point. Pastor Caesar is true worshiper and I was blessed to have this experience. i can't wait to see her again. I will remember this experience for the rest of my life.

Shirley Caesar is not a performer but a TRUE Minister of Music. By God's design her music heals the mind, body and soul and sends you closer to God.

AWSOME!!!!!!!! The concert was the best I been to in a very long time... I took my mom and she's still talking about about and thanked me a thousand times

I honestly wish we could get our money back. The two main attractions Shirley Ceasar and The Canton Spirituals were such a disappointment. God says in the bible to make a joyful noise...well these two were an embarrassment to the faith. All Shirley did was scream the same words over and over again. It was not music. She let people in the crowd sing or should I say scream for over an hour. We were on the lawn and had to plug our ears due to the ridiculous performance she gave if you can actually call it a performance. The Cantons clearly did not want to be there. They had come from another performance that day and it showed. They sang like two or three lines from each of their songs. The lead singer was acting so arrogant. They also gave the mic to someone who could not sing. Honestly GOD was not pleased by these two performances. Felt sorry for Dottie Peoples who was good but her sound system was not working to her liking. Keith Wonderboy did a very good job and so did The Flames. We will NEVER go see another performance with Shirley or The Cantons. The Wolf Amphitheater was a lovely venue and had great parking and a wonderful staff of employees.

As we walked to the amphitheater, we were in awe of the beauty the facility possessed. The seating was spacious and the view of the stage was magnificent. Also, the cleanliness of the restrooms was phenomenal. This amphitheater puts Chastain Park to shame (considering I went there last week for the King's Tour). Even though we were outside, there were no signs of normal outdoors pests. Additionally, the staff was awesome. There were actually people who drove us to our car!!! As for the concert, it was great from the beginning to the end. I even appreciated the benediction we received at the end. I also liked the incorporation of local groups. Keith Wonderboy Johnson and Dottie Peoples were a great segway to the main event Shirley Caesar who was dynamite! She was so personable. Each artist did a great job. Also, the comedic aspects from the artists and the comedian kept me entertained. The final group, The Canton Spirituals, was the finishing touch needed to our praise and worship!!!

I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT YEARS SHOW. SHIRLEY REALLY TOOK THE SHOW. THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME SEEING HER IN PERSON AND SHE WAS AMAZING. I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING WHAT GOD HAS IN STORE FOR LEANDRIA. FAME, FORTUNE AND FIRE WERE ANOINTED, AND YOU COULD TELL THAT GOD IS IN EACH ONE OF THEM.

The entire show was Awesome from beginning to end. Leandria song her heart out she really let her Testimony come alive in her performance. James Fortune and Fire put on a show and he also gave everyone some encouraging words to remember. His wife song was beautiful and I am sure we will be hearing from her soon. Pastor Caesar well what can I say A powerful woman with a powerful voice I mean she is truly anointed and I love watching her.

The event was fantastic. I enjoyed the performances from the time I arrived to the time I departed. Looking forward to going back next year. Like really super amazing.

It was a great show! The energy was high and the venue was top notch!

She was an incredible performance. Her backup singers phenomenal. Donald in particular was truly inspiring to watch. Her whole show was stunning and inspiring and got the crowd deeply involved. But the section of the show where that stupid politician got on stage to promote himself was an intrusion and left a bad taste in everyone's mouth.

I am still confused as to whether or not I was at a church banquet or a concert I actually paid money for. It was literally a hour and a half of them recognizing two Pastors I didn t know nor care to know and a person running for political office speaking and talking. I had to keep asking my sister was I at a concert that I paid money for or was this free. She reminded me that yes I actually did pay to be held hostage by this promoter. Shirley Caesar basically directed her background singers for the 45 minutes she was on. Again I was very disappointed!

I really enjoyed the show. She really can sing and allowed the audience to participate.

So, this was advertised as a Shirley Caesar concert on the radio - - - even Shirley Caesar live on the radio promoted it as such. I invited my 78 year old wheelchair-bound mother to the concert because she has been a fan of Shirley since the beginning of her career. Instead of an evening of Shirley Caesar, it was a rewards ceremony which included politicians stumping! It was horrible, and it started at 5, but Shirley didn't get to perform until after 6:30pm for about 30 minutes. The mics SUCKED at first, and it took several times and songs in order for them to get right. Shirley did the best under the circumstances and was the best professional, but the promoters did a bait and switch on the concert, and that was outrageous. I would like my money back because I paid for Shirley Caeser, not the mayor of Fort Lauderdale and people running for Congress. Terrible

I took my Mom to this event who had us listening to Pastor since we were kids. It was a remarkable and unforgettable show.

Sometimes during the week but definitely on Sunday mornings, my mom or grandma would put on Ms. Caesars' song, "No Charge". To this day, my children can relate. I loved hearing her songs and my children do too. I THANKED GOD AND CRIED when she came on stage. I couldn't believe that I was there seeing her after ALL of these years. You did GREAT! I PRAY that GOD will give me that opportunity again!

I brought my mom to Albany for the concert, she's still singing their songs! One of the best Mother's Day experiences ever!

There was a delay in the start of the program and that did not quite sit well with me. Once the performances started, I was blown away and was overjoyed by the rendition by each performer. I was ecstatic to experience these awesome legends bringing their gifts to us on Mother's Day. There was a slight sound issue during Vanessa Bell Armstrong's performance. The reason for four stars and not five stars is because of the delays and the sound issue. Other than that, the venue was next door to my hotel and very convenient. This was a dream to be able to see these awesome women that I grew up listening to. It was well worth the drive from Atlanta to experience this. Three days later, I am still walking around singing and humming "How I got over" Thank y

My first concert ever my granddaughter treated me now I'm looking Foward to next year her performance was amazing and I really enjoyed myself !

Had front row seats. However, once Shirley Caesar came on and came off the stage my grandma and I couldn't see anything due to everyone running to the front. What a waste of "good" seats.

The sound was horrible, the food was horrible cold and to expensive , the artist did not work both sides of the floor , they stayed on one side, if you going to come off the stage then give everyone a chance to experience a close up

It was one of the best concerts I've ever been to I recommend to anyone if it come to your city or town please go you won't be disappointed at all no way no how you will love it and I mean that from the bottom of my heart and don't let no one tell you different I mean no one... it was awful!!! except for Eddie Robinson. It was unorganized how do you give a concert with no instruments!!!!!!! Caesar set had instruments but the did not do a mike or sound check!!!! She end up doing it during the show!!!!

The show started late. The sound system was not working. One artist has to sing without music. Ms Shirley had to share her mic with her backup singers, when it was time for their solo. The mayor gave a presentation to a preacher at a concert, Ms Shirley came on stage at 9:55. I walked out while she was singing. Overall I wasted my time and money. This will not happen again. I doubt if she comes back to Jackson.

The sound crew was horrible. Most of the singers didn't have a band; they just played their background music from a speaker connected to their managers' sound. Shirley Ceasar was the best performance.

The sound system was a night mare to loud and then not loud enough would liked to have heard more of the artists and less of the preponderance of the bass

I really enjoyed this show!!! I purchased tickets for my mom and I for our birthdays and she said it was one of the best gifts (besides life) that she received! My mom loves Shirley Caesar and really loved being able to see her live after 34 years since she last saw her!! I have always admired Jakalyn and to see her sing live for the 2nd time was unreal! I just wish she had more time to actually sing other songs! I really hate the KiKi Sheard couldn't be there but it was still awesome. The Sounds of Blackness were awesome as well but I wish they could have switched times with Jakalyn to give her more time to sing/minister.

I enjoyed most of concert. I think if Shirley Caesar is your headliner, then she should have most of the time. I could have done without 5 sounds from sounds of Blackness which I never saw on the ticKet. Opening act was Awesome and she is only 19.

We need her back in a concert with just her so that she can really do more songs and for a longer time period! She was amazing!!

Kierra Sheard did not show up and we had no explanation. I paid to see her sing. The other performers were awesome!!! Pastor Caesar made it very pleasureable by come down into the crowd and was very personable with the people!

Shirley was great I felt she could have lessened some songs and sang some of her older songs over all she was great

Shirley Caesar maybe not the whole reason. The Del Mar Fair Gospel Concert is a favorite every year, doesn't much matter who the headliner is. A fantastic night out from the Terrace.

It was a good show. Awesome singing. Wished it could have been longer because she didn't sing but a few songs.

I had an awesome time as I always do at the San Diego Gospel Festival!
