Black Sabbath

Founded among the steel mills of Birmingham, England in 1968, guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler, singer Ozzy Osbourne, and drummer Bill Ward formed what would arguably become the greatest heavy metal band of all time. Initially a heavy blues rock band named Earth, the band took occult and horror themes and combined them with heavily distorted down-tuned guitars and invented a genre that is as vibrant today as ever. Black Sabbath also composed songs dealing with social instability, political corruption, substance abuse and war. Releases such as Black Sabbath (1970), Paranoid (1970) and Master of Reality (1971) are looked upon as vanguards, records which influenced artists as varied as Iron Maiden, Metallica and Soundgarden.

Good concert. Seemed to me that the sound person had a little trouble with volume on Tony and Geezer's guitars. Noticed several times the volume going way up and then coming down. Ozzy's voice cracked several times during the first few songs. I watched closely to see if he was really singing. From my observations, he was really singing. Ozzy tried his best to get the fans to participate, but a lot of people had their smart phones out recording the concert. Can't wave yours hands over your head and record at the same time! Concert seemed rather short. Thought they would play a little longer, since it is the last concert for North America. Only came out for one encore. And that was because Ozzy yelled out "One more song" for everybody to say. Saddest part of the whole concert: They did not play Changes.

Black Sabbath reached The End of its U.S. tour in San Antonio. It was an excellent, if somewhat low-key, way to say goodbye to the States. Ozzy was in reasonably fine voice and the band was unsurpassed- particularly the fiery lead guitar playing of Tony Iommi. Not too many speeches or useless sentimentality; Ozzy said at one point "I can never forget San Antonio." And we'll never forget Black Sabbath.

The concert lasted a total of two hours without a break. Old staples like War Pigs and Paranoid along with new Is God Dead and End of the Beginning. Total of 17 songs, four of which are off of 13. Good performances from everyone. Thoroughly enjoyed watching Geezer.

The band played a very tight show. Tony was amazing along with the drummer. Ozzy sang quite good, but at times it seemed his voices was weak, especially near the end of night. The sound was good throughout the night , but they ran into a little problem during God is Dead. Overall it was old school.

I know Ozzy is a legend, but he is endangering his legacy by attempting to sing at this point. The band was tight and energetic which I enjoyed even though I typically don't listen to heavy metal. But Ozzy was really flat on just about every song, which became really obvious on the popular songs that everyone knew and sang along with. The band would play in one key, then Ozzy would join in a half step or full step lower. Every song! Maybe he can choose songs in a lower ranges or have the band adjust next time. Or stay in retirement.

Band sounded just like they did years ago. Ozzy's unique voice has stood the test of time, as did the band as a whole. So greatful to have had the oppertunity to witness such anamazing group with so much history, and glad I was able to share that with my son. Don't make memories like that every day!

The show was great but Ozzy was having a hard time towards the end of the show , but I will blame that on the heat more than anything. The band was on fire and they played great and seeing how this might be the last time to see Black Sabbath in concert I would encourage all metal fans to go.

Anyone who thought the Houston show was good was simply playing homage to what "was" and no longer "is". War Pigs was great, it made me want to cry! Oh, my gosh, it's Black Sabbath! After that, I was looking around at everyone to see if there was a look of horror on their faces. Ozzy was so out of tune that it hurt. Tony and Geezer were on target. I kept wondering "are they embarrassed"? If we want to throw the age excuse in there, well, why are they still so damn good and Ozzy sounds like a 90 year old woman out of tune in the church choir? I would've had so much more respect for him had he just NOT tried to carry on like he did before. It was pitiful. The Texas heat, well it is BRUTAL. He was so drenched. The thing is by SONG 2 he was already screwing things up so I can't blame it on the heat. We love our old bands, we are so excited when something like this reunion occurs. I am not regretful that I went, I brought my 16 year old son and we had a great time. But, let's be honest, age isn't exactly why Ozzy is in this predicament. As a final word, we bought the new album. You know how with the bands you grew up with, 30 years later, you don't want to hear anything but that original stuff. If the middle aged guy next to me didn't yell "PLAY F***ING SWEET LEAF, YOU MOTHER F*******!" once, he yelled it 100 times! Here's the deal, the new album, it is awesome. So awesome that I can put it in the cd player and just let it go all the way through. Kudos for that guys! For the rest of the tour, I hope that Ozzy can find a way to get it together.

I first saw Sabbath in 1978, the Never Say Die tour, it was Ozzy's birthday, a young Van Halen opened. Even though it was Ozzy's swan song it was spectacular. Then around 1980 saw Dio with the Heaven and Hell tour, which Dio was great. In 1995 I saw the Forbidden tour which had Motorhead open up and Tony Iommi and all new supporting members...my date was spectacular, the concert not so much. Then in 2000 it happened, the Reunion tour. I was there, so was Pantera and Incubus. Amazing! Yes, I'm getting old, but, work and health permitting, I will be there and it will be amazing. For all metalheads old and young: Be there!

I've been to the BOK Center in Tulsa countless times for concerts foment The Eagles in Metallica in 08' to Aerosmith, McCartney and Iron Maiden this year. This arena has a awesome atmosphere, but Ozzy, Geezer, Tony killed it. This show was groovy and heavy for 2 hours straight. Rival Sons definitely set the tone for the night. You could dance, jive, bang your head and throw up your horns to Black Sabbath's powerful songs. I can only imagine this is just a taste of what the band could do in their prime. The entire show left me with butterflies, it was the best way to enjoy my birthday.

The show was st Tulsa's BOK Center, great acoustics. Opening act, Rival Sons, absolutely brought their "A" game! Although 6 LP's into their career, they are still trying to prove they're for real and they are. Last time I saw Black Sabbath 38 years ago on the "Never Say Die@ tour, great music but the show was nothing like this. Although some theatrics, nothing that took away from their music-it was all them. Oozy. Tony and Geeser were worth the price of admission! Tony Clufetos, from Ozzy's solo band, was probably the surprise of the night. Resembling a young Bill Ward, pigtails, beard and drumming style was absolutely incredible! If you have an opportunity to see Black Sabbath, whether the first or last time, GO! You'll hate yourself otherwise.

Glad to see Sabbath one last time before they hang it up for good. Ozzy sounded tired but still energetic. Let's face it, the Bowl is not a very good venue for a rock concert. But to hear that music performed by the same guys (sans Bill W.), all these years later was a real treat. An iconic group for sure.

One of the down sides to this concert was Rival Sons, a band that should be headlining on their own, played a very short set. They were great. Jay Buchanan is one of the most talented and charismatic singers in rock music today. He has a little Jim Morrison in him but with a more soulful voice. Scott Holiday, guitarist, has a unique sound that sets him aside from his contemporaries. Black Sabbath was awesome. And I saw them back in the early '70s when they were first staring out. Ozzy started out with some minor struggles but by the third song he was rocking. Tony Iommi was - Tony Iommi. He played fantastic as did original member Geezer Butler. There was great energy to their playing and the projected effects on the screens suited their music. They played mostly material from their early albums which was OK with me. A younger man next to me was unhappy because they didn't play "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath". Really an amazing show.

Of course I recommend this concert! Hey, it wasn't 2 1/2 hours, they didn't play every single song I wanted to hear, they're not perfect, and they don't move like they did before (Ozzy) but they're old! A big influence on me and I've never had the opportunity to see them before so I flew to Vegas from Hawaii just to see them. Once in a lifetime and so glad I went.

The band delivered a technical wonder very rarely going off the script except for a few scripted solos and Ozzy's never ending quest to get the crowd up and rocking. I did not see a lot of people sitting and most were singing along on classics like War Pigs, Children of the Grave, Iron Man, and N.I.B.. Toss in a rarity in Rat Salad it was a rocking good time. It was emotional knowing the band is winding down in in the coming year with the claim that Ozzy will never front a band named Black Sabbath again. Love you Bill, Geezer, Ozzy, and Tony you changed my life.

One of the best concerts I ever went to. We had great seats, section 209, row 1. This section is right over one of the tunnels from the concourse. And since we were in row 1, there was no one directly in front of us. We had no one standing in front of us and great sight lines to the stage. The acoustics for this concert were awesome! One of the best concerts I have ever been to in regards to sound quality. Especially a metal band. Go to the MGM Grand Arena to see a show. Black Sabbath was awesome! Ozzy and Tony are in top form with this being their final tour. They do most of the favorites. Their catalog is so huge, they could never do all of the fan fav's in one evening. The warm-up band Rival Sons was pretty good sounding and got the show going. When Sabbath came out with their opener "Black Sabbath", the sound was awesome. Powerful and yet clean and tight. The stage set was sparse yet perfectly suited to the moods their music elicits, with color changes and moving lights and shadows. As the show progressed the band performed their most popular and memorable numbers, mostly played true to the original versions. The sound did become a little less clear on a few occasions from where we heard it, but the spirit of the event was evident in full. All in all it was great to see and hear the band perform one last time.

To say "it was a great show" is a serious understatement. The band was tight, the sound was great, the visuals were fantastic! Ozzy was a great showman, Geezer handled the bass perfectly and Tony is just a master guitarist. What else can be said? The only thing I would have done different is play MORE obscure songs that we all wanted to hear. Why play Iron Man for the umpteenth time? Why play Paranoid"" We've all heard tham 100,000 times! IF it were me, I would have gone through the catalog and picked something from every Sabbath album. It would have been unbelievable! PLAY Megalomania, PLAY Junior's Eyes or Johnny Blade. PLAY Superztar pr Sabbath Bloody Sabbath...Yeah, "But the crowd wants......." So what?! It is your LAST go around! Do something UNEXPECTED, something spontaneous....but then again that's why I'm not a rock star......IF you are a fan of Heavy Metal - then by all means GO!! It IS worth the money....Hopefully they will run out of money and have to tour again!!!

Fantastic show, all of the band members in great form. They played for nearly two hours, and covered most of their hits. Great experience - took my two young sons (13 and 15). Venue was clean, and pretty well-organized, especially entry. BUT, the parking and exit was absolutely unacceptable. It literally took us 90 minutes to get out of the parking lot(!) and then another 30 minutes to drive three miles to the freeway. For that reason, I don't think we will ever go back here, and I definitely cannot recommend the venue.

the meet and greets production line, get in/get out despite meeting my childhood idles. the sound check was fantastic. As for the show it is just so funny that a man who speaks so incoherently and moves so tenderly morphs into this wild and crazy stage guy with such great chops. he sounds great, with the exception of the opener Black Sabbath, but then his voice warms up and he is off to the dark races. the big screen produces magic in the way of imagery for each song, especially hand of doom. Tony and Geezer still bring it and show you why they have been the back bone of heavy metal from the beginning. the base solo on the NIB anthology song is crazy good and I can't even wrap my head around the greatness of the guitar solo in Dirty Women. the young whipper snapper on drums is great, but this is where I sour as Sabbath is not Sabbath, especially on "the end" tour without Bill Ward, but I will not make this a political post, I will just say the drums, while fantastic are still a downgrade against the legendary Wards emphatic style. the catalog is all classics and is the best of the best. if you love to bang your head you have all the great thumpers in Iron man, into the void, and on and on. but the cool addition is the spacy God song, After Forever for the true fans. on a scale of one to ten, this is a 9. 9 for fun, 9 for fantastic, 9 for musicianship supreme, but 9 for no Ward. bottom line Sabbath is fkn Sabbath. and we are all metal heads because they are. God bless them.

This concert was really something. I bought my tickets almost a year prior to the show. I have never seen that many people at this venue. The show was very good and the crowd participation only added to the experience. My only complaint was that the show was too short. This was the 10th. and sadly final time that I've seen Sabbath. The show was excellent and the sound was crystal clear.Powerful and awesome. My sons who are 27 and 31 saw Heaven and Hell but never Sabbath with Ozzy. They were stoked and awestruck.ALL of the songs were from their 1st.,2nd.,and 3rd. albums plus one from their 4th. and 7th.(Snowblind and Dirty Women) I would have liked to see and hear a variety such as two songs from their first eight albums.Excluding songs from Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and Sabotage just didn't seem right. They played 14 songs total (including the encore---Paranoid).The concert lasted around an hour and a half.Being their last concert,2 hours would have been GREAT.I grew up listening to Black Sabbath.Sabbath and Zeppelin have remained my 2 all time favorite bands and have been since their beginning.I'm sad to see them go but we all get older. The memories will last a lifetime.

Black Sabbath put on an excellent show. They were very tight musically with only the tiniest mistakes. Ozzy sang really well, especially considering he's 67. It was an indoor/outdoor venue, so the acoustics were really good. The visuals were also very good, with 3 screens. My only complaints would be the show being less than 2 hours (I wanted to hear Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and others) and the outrageous parking cost ($30/car for normal parking, $20/car for parking about 6-8 blocks away).

It was a good show. Geezer, Ozzie and Tony looked in good health and the band was tight. The played the hits and had a great light and video show. They played close to two full hours with a break during the drum solo. Of course Ozzie's voice doesn't hit the high notes anymore but he was solid on vocals and it didn't take anything away from the performance. He was his usual self interacting with the audience but not over the top annoying like he could get in the past especially when he appeared to be buzzed on stage.

The elder statesmen of metal were in fine form on this crisp, beautiful full moon evening with the slightly salty ocean breeze throughout! Nikon Jones Beach Theater is still one of the best places to see a concert. Hands down. Ozzy, Geezer and Tony were so tight and brought most of the hits. Minimal staging effects and raw, bone crushing riffs, bass and drums from new member Tommy Clufetos kicked everyone's butt all night long. Songs were cranked out at a feverish pace, as is Sabbath's style and Ozzy sounded great, albeit with a backing vocalist/keys, etc. which every single existing group from the 70's uses in touring today. A well rounded, full sound to each song. To some, the show may be a short set list, but it's so packed with punch and emotion of the farewell that you will be blown away. Go and see and respect these living legends of Rock and Roll

What can you say about Black Sabbath, was a fantastic show. Paid the extra for early entrance and soundcheck party. Was very poorly executed lot of time just standing in line go to the next line, nothing special going on. Food was nacho chips out of a bag and a little bowl of salsa for each table. From the set list to the visual effects, and most importantly, the sound quality, everything was great. I was pleasantly surprised at how good Ozzy sounded. The guys all got a little spotlight feature including a great drum solo. Like everyone else, I wish it had been Bill Ward behind the kit. That said, Tommy Clufetos did great. This was my first time seeing Sabbath. I saw Ozzy solo back in the 80's.

The greatest heavy metal band of all time.. they were awesome, especially considering they are almost 70 years old & rock harder than anyone. Thought Geezers bass tone was especially good, Ozzy was entertaining, knew how to get the crowd riled up, Tony's playing was amazing. The new drummer is very good also.

Amazing show, roaring ovation from start to finish... & very much deserved. The Rival Sons did an excellent job of setting the tone, but Black Sabbath blew the roof off the place & only got better. If this wasn't the end tour, I would DEFINITELY spend my entire paycheck for another ticket. This one was well worth it, one of the greatest nights of my life.

Sabbath was AMAZING! Ozzy's vocals were fantastic and Iommi and Butler make being masters look easy. Clufetos did an incredible job on drums. The show was beyond all expectations. The set list was obviously chosen as a farewell to fans there from the beginning. The stage set up was pretty simple but Sabbath doesn't need elaborate special effects that would only distract from the performance. Ozzy was up to his usual stage antics and you would never know that these guys are in their 60's! The energy on stage was electrifying. The sound at MSG was great. Overall, I had a great time and wish I could have gone again on Saturday. This was not my first time seeing Sabbath, but it was definitely one of the best shows I have ever been to. I took my teenage sons with me as their first concert and last opportunity to see the Father's of heavy metal. They were blown away! The memory will last a lifetime.

At the end they are still going strong. Iommi was the highlight of the night. Im sure it wasn't like seeing them in the 70's but at 70 they still jam quite well.

I saw Black Sabbath in their current line-up both in 2013 and in 2014 and have to say this was the best of their performances that I have seen. Ozzy's voice was spot on all night, as opposed to previous times I have seen them, and Tommi and Geezer were tearing it up all night. I mean, I really stood there wondering how they do this at 65-plus years old, when I think I'd have a hard time at 40. And I cannot leave out Tommy Clufetos. If they had to leave out Bill Ward, this is the guy to bring in. His drum solo is always one of the highlights for me, and this time I decided he reminds me of Animal from the Muppets during the most frenetic part of his solo. If there is a better heavy metal drummer out there, I haven't seen him. Black Sabbath played only classics and none of their new stuff. I thought they might sneak "God is Dead?" in there but they didn't. It meant that at no point was the crowd quiet, since often that is the case when they play newer music that many people haven't heard. Finally, big props to Madison Square Garden on the sound. It was as good as one can expect in such an arena, not too quiet as I have noticed in other concerts there, rather just the right amount of loudness for this type of music- Perfect level of audio assault. Thanks to Black Sabbath for all the great music!!!

Great show and part of Hx as heightened the last Tour for Ozzy and the boys. Wow what great musicians! All four. Saw them in August of 13 for the 13th tour in Toronto. I think of them very clever in releasing their supposedly last CD, which can only be purchased at the show. Got the non-autographed which is GREAT only because I am a pure DEADHEAD!! Every song was AWESOME, so ALL favorite! Only Bitch everyone had their phones out recording which made it a challenge to dodge to capture my own part of Hx. So U heavy metal children U are part of an historical event in my generation as a BABY BOOMER and remember when they first emerged in 70-71!! Good health to these fine musicians and gentlemen. Thanks for all the great music and memories. Luv ya all............OLDSKOOL!!

Band played really well. Tony's guitar handling was better than I have seen when Dio was frontlining. To see Ozzy with Sabbath was a true must-see for any and all rockers. That he stumbled on some lyrics and forgot the (new) drummer's name when announcing the members is only testament to Ozzy's essence. Missed a few key songs such as Sweet Leaf, but you HAVE TO SEE THE SHOW!

A magical concert! To see those 3 guys togheter playing Sabbath songs is completely priceless. It is really hard to believe that you are seeing the great Sabbath live. Ozzy's voice sounds good, and the instrumental is flawless. You really get the chills all through the show with the classical BS songs. If you have the opportunity, for sure do not miss it!!

For my 21st Black Sabbath concert, Staci and I each left work at noon, so we would have time to go home, get changed, and get to the Forum in Inglewood in time to check in for our VIP experience to include the Soundcheck and Meet & Greet with the band. We didn t eat, and we would soon regret that decision. We ended up getting there about 45 minutes early, because I didn t want to be late after the many warnings to be on time or risk missing the events of the day. While we waited to check in, we saw some friends we ve made at previous Sabbath shows: Joe, Mike, and Julie. Mike recalled that there were some photos posted on line earlier that say of Ozzy spray-painting his name in the parking lot of the Forum. We set out on a quest to find the autograph, and thanks to the guidance of a worker who told us where she had seen others waiting, we soon had success. We took a bunch of pictures of all of us with the giant autograph. After waiting what seemed like forever without food or drink, making new friends and enjoying ourselves despite the heat and hunger, we finally went in to the Forum for the soundcheck. Adam Wakeman was the first to be introduced, and he was housed in a black tent at the left hand side of the stage (near Geezer). He played the strings and guitar pieces from Snowblind, but I could not hear either of those parts during the full performance. Adam also played some of his father s pieces including a brief excerpt from The Six Wives of Henry VIII and a bit of Sabra Cadabra. Tommy came out and beat the skins as if he were playing a solo. He was wearing a dashiki for a few minutes, until he took it off. Tony and Geezer came out. They were easy and relaxed. I thought this was due to the fact that it was an informal soundcheck, but they shared a similar demeanor during the actual performance. Tony s guitar tech, Mike Clement, is a righty, so he does sound check not with one of Tony s stage guitars, but with a right handed SG. Tony dove into the riff from Symptom of the Universe, and we, the awed audience, sat in appreciative silence, while the instrumental song played out like a surreal movie before our eyes. They then tore into the end section from Megalomania, again without lyrics. Ozzy was then introduced, and he waddled slowly and with poor and stiff posture across the stage to the microphone. Tommy played a slow beat on the kick, and Tony played the cacophonous opening ring of Iron Man. Ozzy sounded like hell from the very beginning. He could neither find the right key nor keep the key on which he settled. I turned to Staci and said, It is going to be a long night for Ozz. He seemed to pull it together for most of the proper set. After the soundcheck, we were escorted to the area where we would get our photos taken with the band. We were warned not shake their hands, and it was explained that after Ozzy s recent illness they had a heightened sensitivity to germs. We were also told not to ask for autographs, because there were just too many of us for the band to be able to sign anything. As we got ready for our turn to meet the band, Staci and I discussed who would stand where. Since Tony was in the middle, I suggested that Staci stand next to Ozz while I stood in my rightful place between Tony and Geezer. She agreed with the caveat that we switch places when we repeat this event in September at the Hollywood Bowl. Despite my desire to disagree, it was a reasonable request from the love of my life: I agreed without discussion. I asked Tony and Geezer how we should stand, and they said to act natural. I thought, Natural? Don t you know how you are? I thanked them for their music and wished them a good set. Geezer said, Cheers. Tony thanked me. Staci s experience with Ozz was very different. She said, Hello, and Ozzy responded, How are you, love? When Staci replied naturally with, Good, \u2018n you? , Ozz answered in stereotypical fashion as only Ozzy could: Grblfrndn dngrtdblmng strdgwngld. (This was my favorite of all the stories from the night.) We were then finally able to get some food and drink. The beers were free, but lousy: Bud Light or Goose Island IPA. Now I don t mind Goose Island, but Staci was sorely disappointed, and ended up spending money on a round of Stellas for us. We were also able at this point to do some shopping at a kiosk that was only for us with VIP tickets. We got ourselves some shirts and a CD. They had one shirt that was specifically for our venue, and I had to get that. Rival Sons are a strong band: bluesy like Black Crows, Zeppelin, the Kozmic Blues Band or Big Brother. There were a few times the singer seemed like he was trying to be a male Janis Joplin. It worked: he was all passion the whole time. The guitarist played a few different Fenders with chorus-like effect to fill the sound. The drummer looked a little like Tyrion Lannister and acted like he had just escaped from an asylum that morning. The bass player was fairly mellow, but moved around the stage as easily as his fingers moves along the strings and the fretboard. The keyboard player rocked like John Lord and looked like someone out of The Outsiders or Duck Dynasty. All in all, I would recommend checking them out live or listening to their studio efforts. They are worth your time and money. Between acts I went to the men s room and got in line to get Staci an 805 draft. The lights dimmed and the performance began just as I place my order. By the time I got back to our seats, the band was half way through the opening number, Black Sabbath. I told her that she better love that particular cup of beer, and started communing with the band during their performance. Tony will always be fairly introspective on stage, but gone is the pacing around stage on like a caged tiger of so many relatively recent tours. That tension and pent-up energy have been replaced by an ease and a comfort that seem at odds with the power of the crunching and swinging riffs that drip like blood from his fingers, shake like earthquakes from his strings, and explode like thunder from his speakers and attack my ears like jealous lovers bestowing last kisses before leaving. Geezer may not constantly rock and bob his head like a madman any more, but he can still find new fills for the music that punctuates his reluctant lyrics and bend strings to add weight and depth to his playing and the songs. At one point while I was pointing to Geezer, and he gave what I thought was a little nod, but I wasn t sure. Staci said, I saw that! I looked her her blankly for a moment, and she said, Geezer acknowledged you. The night could have ended then. Ozzy spent much of the night reading the lyrics that Geezer penned, and some of which over 45 years ago. When not at the microphone, he was able to stand a little straighter and walk a little faster than he was doing during soundcheck. Apparently he still feeds off the energy of the crowd to whom he gives back every drop of energy he can find. He may not do his frog leaps any more, but he can still keep a crowd on their feet for 90 minutes without effort. A few times he seemed to be making fun of himself, walking slowly and bent over a little more forward as he passed by Tony, and the two of them looked at each other and cracked up laughing mid-song. It was beautiful. I won t go into too many details about the individual songs; you can see everything on YouTube and dorm your own opinions. I will say that there was more interplay and laughter at this show than on many previous tours. Ozz only did his recent favorite cuckoo call one brief time, but he was making funny face at Ross Halfin and other photographers and fans now and again throughout the performance. At one point Sharon Osbourne appeared in the aisle right behind me. Staci pointed her out to me, and I gave her the bird. After Staci hit me for my rudeness, I pointed to Ozz on stage and replied, She killed who that man once was. If she had gotten closer, I may have spat on her, so I guess I am glad she was a few feet away. I was excited about this show, but I felt no emotional finality. I felt no sadness that this would be the end, which I had expected to feel, like I did during the 13 tour, even when I knew I would be seeing other later shows during that same tour. We will have similar tickets and events at the Hollywood Bowl this September. I wonder if I will feel some sense of loss and sadness, or if I have already come to accept that this will be the end of my live experiences with Black Sabbath.

I've seen Black Sabbath several times, sometimes with Ozzy, other times without him. I've also seen Ozzy several times solo. While I'm not a huge fan, my fiance and I were looking forward to see the trio back together. Ozzy's voice isn't nearly what it was but he still sounded pretty good and was entertaining. Geezer and Iommi were as good as always. If you're even remotely a Sabbath fan, I'd recommend checking out the show.

The band was great and the selection of songs was awesome...opening with black sabbath, including war pigs and ironman, faeries wear boots...all mandatory. Bonus as Ozzy was coherent. The solos were better than expected. I took one star off because the sound was so blasted it kind of distorted. Other than that classic music by a classic band on their final tour.

The Hollywood Bowl show was somewhat of a second homecoming show for the original three Black Sabbath members originally from Birmingham, England but having spent a lot of their early career in the Los Angeles area during the 1970s. They played a great setlist that expands the original three members' career from their first album "Black Sabbath" to their most recent "13". Geezer Butler's playing is right on, while "riff master" Toni Iommi is amazing, hitting every note and pulling out some badass solos. Ozzy looks and sounds incredible, even pulling out some of his signature jumps/ hops toward the end of the show. The show production was thrilling with vibrant lights and fantastic imagery. The show ended with fireworks and black and purple balloons being dropped from nets located around the Hollywood Bowl.

First concert at the Hollywood Bowl, second Black Sabbath concert in 2 years. I thought the first Black Sabbath concert at the the LA Sports Arena on Sept 3, 2013 was awesome! But the concert at the Hollywood Bowl was even better. Black Sabbath under the stars, out in the open was great. To top it off the concert ended with bonus fireworks. Totally worth each and every second. Would have been ideal if Bill Ward was on the drums but I am not complaining. The concert was one of the best and will see them if they perform again!

I traveled from the US for this show - had some doubts as the Coliseum is a bit smaller than what I'm used to, but those were quickly washed away by the town's enthusiasm. Fans/radio stations blasting tunes around the venue. My first BS show - I hope it won't be my last. Ozzy seems healthy, could understand him - very energetic. Tony - truly skilled and amazing as was the rest of the band. Drum solo (by only non-original member) was killer by anyone's standards. Good set list - though I missed Sweet Leaf.
