OMG so the show was freakin' awesome! I've seen Papa Roach rock out on stage 3 times now and I have never been disappointed. They sound just as good if not better than they do on CD. I enjoyed seeing them last night at the House of Blues the best. The atmosphere was great! I will definitely be back there again... and I know I will see Papa Roach next time they are in the area.

Papa Roach was awesome! I brought my teenaged sons to see him and I had a really great time. I recommend that if you go to see them becareful about getting right up close to the stage, the lead singer is a spitter. He spit about 20 times or more every song. The band was awesome, very energetic! Music was great. They put on a great performance. They were with a new band called Parmalee and that band was awesome as well, the did a great guitar solo.

This place was great! I would totally go again. It allowed you to get closer to the bands then what you normally would at a larger venue or arena so I finally got to meet Papa Roach that night. I had no idea who Medina Lake was but they were really good too!

Madina Lake was probably the worst opening band that I have ever heard. I was thirty minutes late to the concert, but glad to be so when I heard thier wanna-be screaming "music". It was bad. Papa Roach, on the other hand, never disappoints. He came out and told the crowd that he had had the flu for the last week, but he was still singing and entertaining on stage. He disappeared a few times, due to his flu, but came back as strong as ever. I will always recommend Papa Roach, he's one of my favorites to go see. Maybe not with Madina Lake, but all in all, still a good show.

Madina Lake was a little boring and washed out. I'm not sure if it was just their sound engineer, but the acoustics in The National are the best I've ever experienced for a small venue. I personally think their music lacks enough melody. Papa Roach, on the other hand, sounded great. Jacoby had a cold and wasn't feeling great, but he belted out the crowd favorites seemingly unaffected. An energetic and true to CD band, make sure you see Papa Roach if you get the chance.

Madina Lake has been low on my radar for the past year or so. I had only heard of them for the first time when I saw their name on the lineup for last summer's Warped Tour and decided they would be one of the bands I'd watch that day. I was not let down. I had seen a few other bands, all of which seemed to lack a certain energy, or they were trying way too hard to please the crowds. When Madina Lake took stage, a few of their already developed fans were going crazy, and I was already expecting disaster. Watching them perform, I could tell they loved what they were doing and they had the energy for it. I was prooven wrong. Almost a year later, their energy only seems to have grown. They got the crowd excited for themselves as well as for Papa Roach. They made sure we, the crowd, were enjoying ourselves just as much as they were, if not more. They are now a band I'm getting into more and more. After waiting outside The National in downtown Richmond for well over six hours, I was being let in--early mind you--to see one of my favorite bands in a matter of hours. A few of the fans were telling how they had heard Jacoby was sick and had actually canceled the previous night's show and how he still wasn't feeling well today. One of my best friends and I, we made it to the front of the crowd and held on to that barrier for dear life. We made it through the opening acts and the anticipation and excitement grew tenfold as the lights darkened once again to announce the arrival of that night's main act. Each of the guys took their alotted positions and we awaited the arrival of Jacoby. The roar of the crowd amplified when that sole man took his spot at center stage. The night had begun to end magnificantly. Song after song, both old and new, I was the happiest girl in the world that night. There was only ever one hitch, Jacoby had to leave for just a few moments to throw up. If that night was him performing under his normal par, I was still highly impressed and again, not let down. He looked miserable and sadly, I managed to catch that on camera--I felt so bad. He didn't have to perform and could've rested but he did. What does one do after the show is over? Wait out back of course! Wait I did. On my way outside I managed to snag a great hug from Nate (Madina Lake). We met their opening act, whose lead singer reminded me a lot of Mr. Cobain. They were a funny lot of guys and very easy to talk to. My friend and I were waiting to meet Matt (Madina Lake) when Nate came walking around the other side of their van and stole our attention from his brother. I got another hug and a lovely picture. I told him that I had enjoyed their show and that I had heard of them last summer at Warped and they were the one band to start getting me excited for the rest of my day. The grin he gave was spectacular! While the rest of the guys packed up and headed out we moved over to the line of those waiting the arrival of even just one of the guys from Papa Roach. Jerry was the first to come out and he was so great about it! He talked with everyone and gave hugs and took pictures. Then, surprising everyone, Jacoby actually came out. He kept apologizing and kept his appearance quick, we told him to feel better as we got two quick shots with him. Tony and Tobin were the last two to come out of the venue. They each took half the crowd each and signed autographs and took photos--we got Tony. Their bus driver and manager started hollering for them to hurry up, they had to get a move on. They were heading up to DC for their next show.

The first thing I have to say is that I wasnt expecting another opening act....The Influence....they were pretty cool - a little bizarre but, I would pay to see them again. And, when Madina Lake took the stage....I was a little worried. I only knew them from the album "Attics to Eden" so, I didnt know what to expect....again, I would pay to see them again. Of course, the band everybody was waiting for was Papa Roach.....I had seen them once before at the 2008 edition of Crue Fest ~ and, they have been one of my favorite bands since the album "Infest" was released ~ so, I knew I was in for one hell of a show. And, they certainly didnt disappoint....Jacoby & the rest of PR blended old-school with new-school in a seamless fashion. About half-way into the 80-minute set, Jacoby told the audience that he was recovering from the flu.....if he hadnt said anything, I dont think anybody would have known.....he delivered an adrenaline fueled, non-stop performance that would make the Energizer bunny die......it was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!

This is my third Papa Roach show (saw them for The Connection and FEAR tours) and my second seeing them at the Paramount in Huntington. First - the venue is great. Nicely kept. Skybar and side bars great. Staff was courteous, and there seemed to be plenty. Event was pretty full but never seemed overcrowded. I recommend The Paramount without reservation. Second - the crowd - energetic. Fun. Mix of guys and girls. Wide age range. Not out of control (no real a55holes, fights, etc.). Third - PRoach killed it as usual. Jacoby played his role of MC well - whipping up the crowd. They played snippets of non-PRoach songs and it was lots of fun (e.g. Song2 by Blur, parts of In The End as a tribute to Chester Bennington, even a couple of verses of some hip hop stuff that the crowd chanted along to). Fourth - Setlist - plenty of crooked teeth material (Teeth, None, Periscope, Help, Traumatic and Born), plus the usual crowd pleasers (Last Resort, Angels/Insects, Lifeline, Scars, Murder) and other good tracks. They added a few I wouldn't have expected too (Snakes, Gravity). Of course, no set list can please every fan, and I am bummed they left out Loves Me Not, Broken As Me and Give Me Back My Life. I'd loved to have heard Worst Enemy as well, but I don't recall them ever playing that at any of the shows I've seen live or on video. Sound - other than the small disappointment in setlist, my biggest complaint was the sound levels. The instruments were too loud and muddled. A few times it occurred to me that if I didn't know the songs and lyrics so well and was just paying attention to the music, I'd not necessarily be able to tell what was being played. This didn't apply to all the songs - many were great, and as a whole things were solid, but the cacophony did get distracting at times. I don't know whether it was an issue with the soundmixing by the band or with the venue. As I said, I've seen PRoach at the Paramount before (last tour), and they sounded phenomenal. Hopefully this was a one off "bad day" for some sound guy somewhere. All in all, I recommend Papa Roach without reservation. I've loved the band for 15+ years, and always enjoy the shows, regardless of hiccups. I'd go again in a heartbeat.

Sorry, and no disrespect to Papa Roach, but NothingMore were the shining stars of the evening! And quite honestly, they should have been the headliners. They have cool memorable songs, well written and the lead singer can actually sing!! I hope to see them again soon. Their latest album is great, no sophomore slump there! We left half way through Papa Roach because, quite frankly, we were bored! But hey, thanks for bringing NothingMore to Myrtle Beach, and come again now, ya hear?!? HOB is a great place to see bands! This was my second Papa Roach show and I can never get enough of them. The band members always play and sing their hearts out and strive to provide their audience with the most rocking experience possible. I love that Jacoby Shaddix isn't afraid to go out into the crowd and give hugs and high fives while he's performing. He's very hands-on per se, not like a lot of musicians who, for very understandable reasons, want to keep their distance up on stage. Papa Roach also played for an impressively long time, especially considering the strain Jacoby must have felt on his voice by the end. This band is definitely a crowd-pleaser.

Pop evil opening was a very good performance. The singer was very interactive with the crowd. Escape The Fate was awesome to see. My first time seeing them and I wouldn't mind sering them again. Mosh pits broke out within the third song from Escape The Fate. Papa Roach came out and the crowd went wild. The opening song was getting away with murder. Jacoby was swinging from the ceiling, he randomly went crowd surfing, and put a hole in the wall with his head.

This show was absolutely amazing, I have seen Papa Roach in concert more than ten times, but this show was the best so far. Their opening acts were a great compliment to their show as well. The Pagaent does not have a bad seat anywhere in their venue. I was lucky enough to have floor seats and even that was comfortable. The crowd was not ridiculously over packed in. I was lucky enough to meet the band after the show. Their drummer was very friendly and hung out with everyone in the bar that is located within the venue. The rest of the band was also gracious enough to sign autographs outside by their busses and just hang out and have conversation with their fans! Overall I will say that they are the most down to earth, humble performers that I have met thus far. I will continue to attend any of their shows that are even remotely close to my area! I am a hardcore Papa Roach fan, and the concert was awesome as usual. Jacoby brings a 150% to the stage and tons of energy from the whole band. I was psyched that they played at the Pagaent because there is a great view from anywhere & you can actually see the band you came for. (not out in a hot lawn looking at a tv screen). All of the other bands were great too, not a bad "opener". I had never heard of Skillet, but they are really good. Now I have their CD too. Only complaint is that I wish the Pageant would have chairs on the lower level too, my feet were killing me by the end of the night!

Every band kicked ass! Missed all but half of a song from My Darkest Days :( Trapt was solid - they don't quite have as many singles as the other bands. Skillet was outstanding. And Papa Roach held their ground definitely!

The concert started out with My Darkest Days and Trapt. It then went to Skillet and Papa Roach. The opening acts were amazing. Trapt should've been a headliner for sure. The bands rocked out and interacted with the audience. It was truly an amazing show. If you haven't seen it....you need to.

Missed out on My Darkest Days because of the length of the line to get into the venue..Trapt wasn't as good as I was hoping for..Skillet was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, had the best light show I've seen in my life, and sounded just as good (if not better) live as they do on their records..Papa Roach I'd seen twice previously and because of their stage presence and interactions with the crowd I chose to see them a third time..I was not disappointed..They seemed much more interactive with the crowd then usual, the lead singer actually got up and ran through the crowds at one point. It was a very memorable exciting concert experience that I will never forget! :-)

At first, I thought the location of the concert was not going to be very good since there was a large amount of people and I didnt think the place would be able to hold everyone. It actually held the sound great and the way that they went from band to band there wasnt a lot of wait time. The ONLY thing that I was disappointed about was the way they were letting people in. We got there at 630...our fault, but they only had one door open and they were pattinf EVERYONE down at a time which was taking too long. There were too many people budging and then at the end around 730pm the crowd just rushed the doors and we had to run to get into line and then people started shooving in. The amount of security, and people at the door was very poor, cuz by the time we got up there they just stopped patting people down...actually I saw ONE guy doing it. Other than that the concert was GREAT, we were able to move around got in n out of the bathrooms pretty fast and the crowd was pretty cool about it all, so in all the concert couldnt have been better, but next time they need to open a couple more doors and have better line set up outside to get people in better and faster.

Good to see three bands of that talent on one stage. Good line up. The biggest crowd I've ever seen at Northern Lights! However, someone needs to fire the sound-tech. Amps and speakers are waaaaay too overdriven.

I went primarily to see Skillet perform, seeing as they are one of my top 3 all time favorite bands. My Darkest Days was not bad at all, I had actually downloaded on iTunes their album once I had gotten home, I really enjoyed their "Move Your Body" song. Once they concluded, Trapt was up, I have been a big fan of Trapt for several years, gettting attached to their music by the ever so popular hit "Headstrong", and just listening to them from their; and seeing as they are a more well known band than My Darkest Days... that I know of, I had expected a better performance than what they had put on, I wasnt overly enthusiastic about it.... The instrumental aspect was not bad, but from where I was just to the right of the stage looking at the stage, I barely was able to hear the lead singer, and I personally think he could have done less hand motions like he was a magician and concentrated on his singing. Once Trapt had exited the stage and Skillet was up, my attitude just flip flopped 180 degrees. I have absolutely nothing but praise for how great Skillet was, I went expecting to stay straight through until Papa Roach had concluded, because I am an avid listener of Papa Roach as well, however, Skillet just blew my socks off, and left me speechless (literally). I had lost my voice, and across between no voice, my hunger setting in, and my adrenaline pumping so much from Skillets performance, I was impressed to the point where I had felt content to leave with more than a satisfactory smile on my face. I would not put a doubt in my mind that if I had stayed for Papa Roach, that I would have been able to speak for 2 weeks following the event. And I am positive that they definately were the cherry on top to an overall great performance Friday night at Northern Lights.

This concert was freaking awesome! I was not really a darkest days fan till I hear them live!!!! They are awesome! I've been a trapt fan and I was rocked by them as well.. I've seen Papa roach twice! Both time they rocked the house! Both were in a standing venue.. I was in VIP this time... Well worth the money. Clean bathrooms our own bars and tv for when they were setting up. Last time I was at jannus it was back when I was in high school and that concert rocked just like this one... Thanks Jannus for Having these AWESOME bands come and play... Please have them (all of them) more often....

Show was awesome, Nothing More stole the show, they are the next 30 Seconds to Mars, what wasn't cool was the tickets, got an email from Papa Roach's Facebook inviting me to purchase VIP meet & greet tickets, clicked the link, purchased 4 tickets with VIP seating & meet & greet ($800) tickets come in the mail & say VIP but do not mention the meet & greet, the day before the concert, i get an email from Nothing More saying "thanks for purchasing our meet & greet" tried to get resolved, but no one from ticket master, live nation, or Papa Roach would reply, get to the show, & standing in line for a meet & greet i did not pay for, several other people said the same thing happened to them, BOOO Ticket Master & Live Nation, we've been following Papa Roach for 16 years, finally thought we were going to get to meet them but no....
