Exciting and worth the time. Took 4 17 yr. old young men who are classmates with my son. They had never been to a hockey match. By the end of the game, they were standing and rooting for the Rays. Great experience, take the kids.

Great experience, I've been a few times but the Sunday game did not draw the crowd I expected, maybe 25% capacity. Very enjoyable thou with less people.

We went to the last two SC Stingrays' home games. They were awesome! Our five year old got to go on the ice and pick up pucks during an intermission. He is is now offficially addicted to hockey. We have purchased season passes for the 09-10 Season . LET'S GO RAYS!!! Two years with the Kelly Cup would be awesome!

We took the whole family to this game. It was great. We sat right behind the penalty boxes which was a whole new experience for us. Even my mother enjoyed it and she knows nothing about the sport. She was even high fiveing the guys in front of us.

I took at least 14 residents to see 4-5 Stingrays games last season. The last 2 were playoff games. it was an awesome experience because it was some of the guys 1st hockey game. Win or lose they played every second of the game and eventually won it all. Want to have a good time ? Come to a game next season.

i became a season ticket holder of the south carolina stingraysw this year. it was the best money i ever spent. i have 2 children 17 yrs and 21 yrs and it is hard to find things for us to do as a family that ALL of us enjoy, but i must say that this was it. family, fun, entertainment is what they say and that is exactly what it is.

The game was, as usual, very fun and amazing! The only negative aspect this one time is that the concessions area wasn't prepared for this large a crowd. They were out of certain sodas and the one I got (Sierra Mist) was flat. They ran out of nachos. They didn't have any large cups until after 1st period. I love the coliseum and the staff is amazing so I don't want this to be construed as a negative review, just preparation for next time.

I pay extra to be at the glass. First game I went to a month prior was wonderful, but Sunday's was a letdown. People behind me loud and talking about home life. They inadvertently mentioned they didn't pay for their seats. I travel 2 1/2 hours to specifically see Stingrays.

The stingrays played great game. My friends and I had a great time. Our seats were great and we were able to see 90% of the action going on. It was my first stingray game since I moved to Charleston about a year and a half ago. The people sitting next to us were regulars and we hit it off with them immediately. We will definitely try to get two more games this year.

My family and I live more than 2 hours away from Charleston and travel to the Stingrays home games often! This team is amazing and never disappoints! This team has several ways to be part of their team! We have been to many games over the years, participated in the fan tunnel, and the fanzam! All the seats have a great view of the game and are reasonably priced. There are great places to stay nearby that are walking distance or even share the same parking lot as the Coliseum. This is a great family experience.

My wife and I are both huge Pittsburgh Penguin fans, but live in the Aiken SC area. We were visiting Charleston for the holidays and went to the Stingrays game. We were both surprised at the venue. Great crowd, great prices and easy to get to the Coliseum and leave. Both said that if we ever move to the Charleston area, we would buy season tickets. Rays lost 1-2, but we had a ton of fun.

o.k. i have read some ratings. the one that was really bad wrote.a season ticket holder was upset at the number of times someone walk in front of her. well i am one of those who get very upset when someone must walk in front of me at all times. i well tell you to find a seat and and stay in it till the break in play. oh the person who said the rays did play a good game. i have watched the (ahl) and (nhl) and the rays will stand with them any time. one wanted more fights. try this, one game with the thunder took four minutes to run off 10.6 seconds. all in all we have a great team. so come in find your seat. set down and enjoy some of the best hockey you well ever see. GO RAYS

We had a great time at the stingrays game Saturday night! Only down fall... Not enough parking. I guess something else was going on at the convention center and we had to be shuttled from tanger outlets. Maybe a parking garage should be considered.

This was my first time to an event at the coliseum since I moved to Charleston. Parking was a breeze, entrance into the event organized and simple, and attendants kindly showed us to our seats. The facility is clean. The vendors were friendly and well stocked. The mascot interacted with the fans and really got the crowd going. The game was entertaining and fast-paced. Pretty impressed.

The game was great. We had awesome seats right on the glass. My only complaintvis the cost of beer. 7.75 for a 22 ounce beer that I know costs the arena less than 2.00 was, in mu opinion, gouging. Rinkside seats for 25.00 was a fair price based on the level of hockey we were watching. I'm not sure what the reasoning is behind the high coat of food and beverage, but I also know that this is just the way it is at professional sporting events.

This was an AWESOME game. It was the first time my fiance, Tim and I went to a game together. His first game ever. I loved it. We are going again the 26th with his nephew. tickets were only 5 dollars ANYWHERE in the arena. Best price ever. We love going to sporting events, and this will be one on our list.

I, for one, have never been a fan of hockey. No, sir didn't care for it. THEN. I moved to Charleston. I was actually bored and decided to see what the 'fuss' was all about. Takling advantage of the opportunity to sit close to the penalty box I figured if nothing less I'd get a little close to the action. Did I ever. I'm hooked. There was something for everyone from the mascot to the cold beer to the fights on the ice to the pure athleticism on display. It was pure adrenaline rush from start to finish. After that first Saturdays winning game, I returned for the disappointing loss feeling not at all disappointed in the loss. Needless to say, I'm going to come back again and again!

This was my first time. I was down on the glass. The stadium was clean and run in a very professional mannor. Eventhough the Rays lost the entire night was a very pleasurable! The staff I came in contact with was very user friendly!!

Honestly, the Stingrays are an incredible team who give 100% in their games. I've been to several games now, and I've had an amazing experience each time. There's not a bad seat in the house, and parking is quick and convenient; it's $10, but you're literally right next to the venue. Be aware that this is a hockey game; this means that fans will swear and jeer the other team. Teach your kid to not participate if it bothers you. That's hockey, though.

This event was awesome except for the unacceptable phrases yelled from some of the stingray fans. Total unsportsmanlike conduct and a very poor example for all the children that attended the event. Calling opponents turds is uncalled for. That seemed to ruin the whole atmosphere. And there were a lot of families there with young children. Adults should act like adults.

The event on Jan 27th 2018 was one of many Stingray events I have attended over the last three years. The facility, staff and vendors are courteous and helpful. I live in a nearby city that has made two attempts to have ECHL hockey in our area. Both attempts have failed miserably. It's good to see a highly successful program only a day trip away. As a former Charleston resident, it's encouraging to see the progress made in the Low Country over the past three decades. The hockey venue is one that I would recommend for affordability and its user friendly environment as family entertainment.

So being from Detroit I grew up going to hockey games and wanted to check out the Sting Rays. It is minor league hockey but you can get such good seats at reasonable prices it is quite fun to sit two rows behind the glass. The venue is plain but good angles to see from. Its fun event to go to for a reasonable price.

Overall the game was a lot of fun, my family had a terrific time. My only complaints would be that the food is way to expensive, you're not the NHL! Also the fact that there was no "gift shop" we were able to buy t-shirts but my 11 yo son wanted a hockey puck and we had no luck.

I've always been a fan of the San Jose Sharks. Moving here forced me to switch teams. However, the 'Rays do play their hearts out. The crowd is family friendly and everyone is kept entertained with plenty of interaction. As a hockey fan, I love the fights; surprisingly there was only a mild one the entire game. Still, looking forward to more date nights with the hubby seeing the Stingrays win!

I always enjoy going to Stingrays games. There is so much for the kids to enjoy as well as the adults which one can't really find at Pro games. This was our first "pack the house" game and we will be back for next years. Only problem I had was, I purchased tickets right behind the players bench for a fun experience for my kids. When we arrived (on time) people were sitting in our seats. They didn't move and thankfully someone a few rows up had enough extra tickets for us to sit or I don't know what we would have done.

I bought these tickets to surprise my boyfriend. The seats were amazing and we absolutely loved it. We were right upfront in the action. He plans to take me again this Sunday. :) Can't wait.

2nd Stingray game and the same as the first. Both games had a good tussle and both ended in a shoot out. Could not ask for more!!!! Stingray hockey is a great way to spend time with family at a sporting event. Family environment where you do not have to worry about being next to a drunken loud mouth. Would recommend Stingray hockey to anyone. Grew up in Minnesota and Stingrays hockey fun matches anything they have there.

The game was exciting and the announcers and musicians kept the crowd involved. The concession stand offered a variety of food, albeit a little over priced.

This had to be one of the better games we have been to in a while! From the staffs' great attitude upon entrance until we walked out of the door I can't think of one negative the entire night! Normally there is something that happens or is said that causes me to rethink coming back but I cannot say this about this experience!

We enjoyed the game very much! The Stingrays won! We will get seats in the middle and a little higher up next time. Nice venue though! Will definitely do again!

Opening night for the s.c. stingrays was really great. When I go to a hockey game I look forward to a great game and although the stingrays lost,they really put on a great night of hockey and also with all the fights,thats another big thing I look for in a hockey game and the stingrays didn't let me down,although the referees did because they could have let them fight a little longer before breaking them up, do better next time reffs.

We enjoyed the game but the fans were the nastiest people I have ever seen at a game. I cannot believe that they allow people to act like this at a big event. Security allowed fans to go over and badger the players as they were waiting to come out on the ice.

I have been to three games this season. Rays won all three. 1st game in regulation, 2nd game in OT Shootout and 3rd game in OT. I am orginally from Boston and love hockey, this brand of hockey is fun to watch. People at the Coliseum were friendly and we will be looking into a season tickets package for 2014/15.
