Excellent mix of old and recent material, with lots of older faves. Geoffrey said from the stage the venue was like "visual headphones." Great sound, every seat was fantastic. One very toasted interloper strolled onto the stage during The Old Sod and sadly, didn't know a single word. Security tried to remove her, but the band let her stay. Unfortunately, she didn't know when to leave. Thank God they cut her mike. After the show the band came out to chat and sign autographs. It was an absolute delight to meet them, get the CD and setlist signed (Thank you Buffalo WILCO fan for giving that to me!) and take some pictures. It was a magical night.

Was a great show, loved the small venue. Have been seeing them for 20 years. Wish they would come to Buffalo NY MORE.

The Bear's Den at Seneca Casino offers the perfect intimate space to enjoy this great Canadian band, Spirit Of The West. Their voices are still great and full of energy. The musicianship and instruments make seeing them live totally worth it! Some songs actually sound better and refreshing live. I enjoyed hearing the stories before certain songs. You can tell the band enjoys being on stage. Along with classic songs like "Political" and "Venice Is Sinking" they also played a great song called "Morning In the Bath Abbey."

I can't say that Fish & Animals is MY cup of tea - but if it doesn't float my boat, it will float someone else's. The young people certainly seem to love what they do...and that's always nice to see. Hooray for Ben being passed on his Dad's musical genes :) I had no idea that Geoffrey wasn't going to be present, and it did have an impact for certain - something was missing, and it felt that way at times. The two guest musicians were excellent - particularly Kendal Carson. The energy was there as always, and unlike some other bands that have been around for decades - the boys seem to love what they do and not have grown weary of singing "Home For A Rest" for the umpteebajillionth time. Against the barrier...front and centre. That's where it's best! Cheers to one of my two favourite CANADIAN bands :)
