This event was unforgettable and Michael Feinstein was terrific as he usual is. Everyone should see this performer and enjoy him as much as I did. I had a front row center seat and he was amazing in his versatility of all the Sinatra songs that he sang. I would recommend his show to anyone who wants to see a wonderful performer.

Michael Feinstein gave an outstanding performance on Saturday night at NJPAC. The evening was a tribute to Frank Sinatra on the occasion of Sinatra's 100th birthday. Feinstein is a world class entertainer and delights the audience with his personable style and amazing talent.

Michael Feinstein is always a joy to watch. He is full of energy, very entertaining and interacts well with the crowd. The only disappointment I had about the evening was that the show was too short. For $100.00 per ticket, not including all of the services charges etc., I didn't expect my evening out to be over and on my way home at 9:30 PM. When I have seen him in the past there have been an intermission.

Show was outstanding. I have seen Mr. Feinstein in NY many times. It is different seeing him on stage, I prefer the cabaret setting better as it is more intimate.

A superb performance combining the talents of Michael Feinstein with the music of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and the direction of Marvin Hamlisch. Adding to the evening was the usual warm and at times humorous commentary by Marvin Hamlisch and the historical knowledge of the songs and Frank Sinatra by Michael Feinstein. The evening began with a medley of Frank Sinatra songs performed by the excellent Pittsburgh Symphony. At the end of the medley Michael Feinstein came on stage and went right into the song "Luck Be A Lady". A great start to a very enjoyable evening. MIchael Feinsteins singing was very good and his sharing of his knowledge about Frank Sinatra, the history of each song and its composer added a lot to the performance. It was great hearing so many classic songs performed so well by someone who is preserving this music years and decades after it was originally recorded. Including a 15 minute intermission the performance was approx. 2 hours long. Excellent performance and a very enjoyable evening.

It's been long overdue since I last saw Michael Feinstein. This was my third concert to see him, the last being about 20 years ago in San Francisco. He has such a wonderful voice. He knows how to introduce each song so that you feel like you were there when these songs from the bygone era were first composed. His humor kept everyone laughing, even the lady in the front row whom he told to put away her cell phone during his first number. He had his eye on her for the rest of the night. The Walt Disney Concert Hall was equally amazing. This was our first time there & the architecture & the acoustics were superior.

Loved him! Michael Feinstein is a great talent, and his show at the Disney Concert Hall showed that. He did 90 minutes without an opening act, and no intermission. He was charming, funny, sentimental and... what a voice! Our seats were behind the stage ("TRVIEW"), but elevated and so close to it that we didn't mind at all. My wife wished that he had done more Broadway music, but I didn't mind. A few too many "kudos" from him to the band (they were good studio musicians, but it wasn't Henry Mancini). But all in all, a very enjoyable evening. I wasn't a fan of Feinstein's before we went - wasn't really familiar with his talent at all- but my wife loved him, and loved the show. I didn't know him, and also enjoyed it greatly. One comment about the ushers: they didn't seem to be very well trained. They were all young, very polite and cordial, but they several times put people in the wrong seats and had to move them, and took one very handicapped man down our aisle. much to his difficulty, he almost fell, and then discovered that they had him in the wrong section! They were very pleasant and trying their best, they kept apologizing, but they seem to need more training and familiarity with the venue.

Terrific show! Beautiful venue at the Disney Concert Hall. What a class act he is - so talented and charming. Henry Mancini's widow, Ginny, was in the audience, and as a curtain call number, Michael played and sang "Two for the Road", one of Henry's compositions. I've never heard him sing it before, although I think I own almost every other singer's version of it - it's my favorite song (and favorite film, as well). After the concert, my companion and I were lucky enough to personally meet Michael (I'm in his fan club), and he was delightful - so attentive and personable. I would highly recommend a Michael Feinstein concert to anyone who loves Gershwin, Porter, and all the lovely ballads from the "good old days".

Back in December I was in New York and our tickets got screwed up so I missed Feinstein at his place up there. Imagine my surprise when I found out he was coming to Cary, NC! Loved it so much I have tickets at Feinstein's place in NYC for August on my birthday and plan to see him again in NYC at Christmas. Well worth the money regardless of which venue. If you love Sinatra, you'll love Feinstein! Oh and congrats to Koka Booth Amphitheatre for continuing to surprise me with the line up that they bring to Cary. Keep up the good work.

I have had the privilege of seeing Frank Sinatra a few times. We caught an interview of Michael Feinstein on TV recently and was impressed with his knowledge of Frank and all the other almost now forgotten favorites of our past. So for a special occasion we purchased tickets to see this show. He exceeded all our expectations! He brought back to the stage an unforgettable, professional and charismatic performance paired with all of our favorite songs. I will never miss any other performances by him in our area. PS Top your evening with dinner from Whole Foods. It made this evening perfect!

We have attended many, many concerts over the years, including two previous ones with Michael Feinstein. My husband and I concluded at the end of the concert that it was the best concert we have ever seen! Every aspect was perfect - of course, Michael's performance itself was top notch. Then, the choice of songs, the banter with the audience and the theatre itself were fantastic.

Michael Feinstein makes you feel as though you were in his living room...so comfortable and warm and humorous...not to mention his perfect interpretations of the very best of our songbook. Michael engaged with the audience through conversation and story telling about his selection of songs. The band was an accomplished set of musicians. The evening was terrific. The only disappointment were the audience members who started leaving with the last song. I'm amazed that people pay $$$ for an evening out and cut it short simply to avoid a delay in exiting the lot. It's rude to the entertainer and other audience members who choose to wait. They should stay home and listen to the CD.

Really goodl production. Fairly comprehensive selection of Sinatra songs... although there were a few I would have liked to hear ( The Lady is a Tramp, My Way, Old Man River, to name a few). Lots of energy from an entertainer with really good vocals. Arrangements were also quite good. Michael did some numbers at a noticeably different "pace" which took on a different mood for the song. All in all it was a great show, lots of upbeat moments and a great band behind Michael.

This was my first time at NJPAC. It is a beautiful venue with excellent acoustics! I have been a Sinatra fan for over 50 years and I was expecting to see a tribute to Sinatra by a professional who sang the Sinatra songs like Sinatra did. Instead, Feinstein sang the songs in his way and even sang one song the way that the songwriter wrote it raher than the way that Sinatra sang his interpretation. He even sang a song that was a trademark of Sammy Davis Jr !! This was supposed to be a Sinatra tribute, but it really was a Feinstein self-promotion with Feinstein letting everyone know the stars that he had name-dropped who invited him to dinner or that he met. Feinstein's stories bordered on boorish. Feinstein's ego was huge and inappropriate for this tribute. Feinstein had an average voice and sang well, but what I paid for was a total waste of time. SiriusXM has a Sinatra channel that I listen to frequently which plays other performers singing Sinatra songs plus Sinatra singing himself. Those singers did not try to emulate Sinatra but offered his songs in their voices as respect. Feinstein did not even attempt to try to sing in the Sinatra way. All he did was self-promotion. My wife and I almost left at the intermission but we were optimistic that maybe the second half would tribute Sinatra. But, we were wrong. We had many other Sinatra tributes to attend on his 100th birthday and chose NJPAC because we thought that we would see the best of the best. I wasted my money and my time. My wife and i could have been better-entertained on the boardwalk of Asbury Park which had Sinatra tributes all day. I trusted NJPAC and I was left disgusted and I felt betrayed.

OK show. But the concert was on Sinatra's 100th Birthday. It is mind boggling that on this date instead of playing his hit songs, they do a "medley" of just a few lines from each one. Yet they had time to play complete, long, drawn out versions of other non-hit songs.

Nothing to say about his extreme talent; especially his skills as a pianist. However, I felt he wasn't a good choice to perform Sinatra's songs. Sinatra had a very "croonish" style, where Feinstein has a cabaret style of singing. Nevertheless my daughter and I enjoyed the show very much!

It was a quaint performance, but often the notes were flat and nasally and there were a few too many technical errors in the singing for my taste. I found myself listening to the orchestra more, picking apart the string section in boredom. The ASO is AMAZING, and I would love to see them alone next time. There was a lot of historical background given which each song which was at times filled with the disguised boastings of Mr. Feinstein's personal exploits. The best performance of the night was when there was no singing, sad to say. They ushers were very suspicious of our seating. Another group contended for our tickets, and even though we had the right seats and the other group was mistaken, the ushers tried to seat them in our place. The ushers only looked our our tickets and didn't even check the others groups closely. The ushers became very insistent but eventually they looked at everyone's tickets before allowing us to enjoy the performance.

Michael Feinstein is a superb singer, pianist, musical historian, and overall performer. His renditions of Sinatra standards evoke not only memories of Frank, but add his own special touches that make the songs alive and new again. Feinstein's ability to hold a note for what seems like eternity without any loss of tonal quality, pitch, or strength is simply amazing. His conversational way of conducting the entire concert is endearing to everyone in attendance. And it didn't hurt at all that the performance was in one of the great acoustic halls of the US, Atlanta Symphony Hall, and that he was backed by the Atlanta Symphony itself. Despite the volume of the symphony from time to time, Feinstein's voice was clear and heard above the music itself, something of a rarity today...and very much appreciated. Kudos to the sound mixer, as well.

Michael was even better than I expected. He is passionate about the American Standards and he gives 100% to his performance. He has a great voice, I like the falsetto. He has terrific arrangements and does something a little different with the old familiar songs. Best on ballads. His banter is informative, he knows more than anyone about the subject, and he has a great sense of humor. His band is great too. The piano player, Richard Furth is a stand out.

I really went to see Betty Buckley and Christine Ebersole. Unfortunately, both ladies only sang one duet with Feinstein, and then one solo song. Then they left the stage! That was it. The balance of the concert was Feistein impersonating a lounge singer. I felt cheated. But the Philadelphia Orchestra is amazing no matter what they play!

Michael Feinstein singing and playing from the Great American Songbook. Betty Buckley singing Memory. Christine Ebersole demonstrating why Broadway loves her. The Philly Orchestra just being themselves. All of this made for a great night at the Mann Center. It's just a shame that there wasn't more of a crowd to enjoy the terrific performances, even though reduced price tickets were plentiful in the 10 days before the show. I would have liked to hear more from the ladies, but they were billed as "friends" so one duet and one solo each is about what you'd expect. Feinstein can play up a storm as well as interpret the heck out of a song - and did!

When you're seeing Michael Feinstein, everything is just fine. He is an incredible entertainer. His personal stories about each song really makes them come alive. It's amazing how many composers of the by gone era he's actually met, many of whom have now passed away, like Ira Gershwin. Michael has truly been passed their torch & he is keeping their music alive & well. This is the fourth time I have seen Michael. And this was my favorite show yet. My wife & I sat just five rows from the stage & it felt like he was talking directly to us on many occasions. We were the youngest people there, with most of the audience being 60 or older. Maybe I was born in the wrong era, or maybe I just have great musical taste. Michael did a great impersonation of Paul Lynde from the Hollywood Squares & made us all laugh. His singing was superb. His vibrato was really cool to hear, & sitting that close I could see him slightly shaking his head to get the desired resonating vibrato inflection. It is much more intimate having great seats. This was my first time at the Valley Performing Arts Center located on the CSUN Campus. I loved it & so did Michael who had nothing but praise for it. To me the inside of it was the most beautiful part. Michael talked a lot about the LA area, including how he's the new conductor for the Pasadena Pops summer concerts. Cool! I bought his new CD "Change of Heart: The Songs of Andre Previn" & then got to meet Michael after the concert. He signed my CD & addressed it to me, making it my very own. It was great to meet him in person. He stayed until the very last person in line had gotten an autograph. Now that's a rare thing for a celebrity today to take that much time for their fans. Obviously he's a cut above the rest.

If you enjoy Las Vegas headliner shows then, perhaps, this one is for you. I find Feinstein's one on one style of previous shows so much more connecting and entertaining.

Michael sets up each song with anecdotes and puts his own touch on the presentation.

Five or six songs just doesn't make it Michael...I can get the stories from the book. I love ro hear you sing and play. Chatting is not your greatest performing talent. You were in great voice. Needed to have much more for my $125 Tony Benett gives me almost two hoirs pf aoreal entertainment. Extremely disappointed.

Michael Feinstein's Gershwin concert at the Lyric in Baltimore was terrific, but not nearly long enough. We enjoyed his stories about the Gershwin brothers mixed in between songs, but would have loved to hear more music. Expected to hear Rhapsody in Blue, but it was not part of the program. Total concert time was just under an hour and we could have listened to his singing at the piano for another hour....

The entire evening was a rip off. More time was devoted to promoting his book than singing

Michael as always was wonderful, but the show was not. It lasted less than one hour. He sang only 4 songs. I enjoyed his stories about the Gershwins but would have liked to hear more of him playing and singing. As we left everyone was complaining. The show was not worth the money. It was a fund raising event, well then tell people before they buy tickets that it is a short show.

I truly loved the concert. I took my father as a birthday gift and he said it was the best present I ever gave him. Best of all Michael dedicated the evening to Frank Sinatra songs which happen to be my dad's favorites. I highly recommend seeing Michael Feinstein in concert. I was a wonderful treat for both of us.

I'm a fan of his BUT I have to say the show put me to sleep. The Orchestra was made up of great players but were not put through the sound system (except the soloists). Overall, didn't like it

I have been a huge fan of Michael Feinstein's since the late 1980's. I originally heard of him when I was doing some research on George Gershwin. I have followed Mr. Feinstein's career for over 25 years. This concert was fantastic! He gives his audience his All! I heartly recommend anyone who has even the slightest interest in the Great American Songbook to go and see Mr. Feinstein in concert. You will leave both ecstatic and wishing for more encores. He's the best!!!!!

I love Michael Feinstein, I go to see him if I have an oportunity, i just moved from Nem Yersey about a year ago to Florida, I saw him in New York, New Jersey, on Broadway, today I thing he is the best for what he is doing, I cant thing of anyone who can compite with him. Not even Michael Buble. far avay from him. I wish he would come to Florida moore often.Unfortunatly I live in Hollywood Florida ,so he does not come this way a lot.

Michael Feinstein is not a Sinatra impersonator. Close your eyes and you don't see Frank. Open your heart and you hear the same muse that inspired Sinatra.

Fabulous show by one of the greatest entertainers and pianists of our time. Classic songs performed to perfection by Michael and his terrific band. The three of us really enjoyed it and hope he comes back to Chester in the future.
