After waiting 5+ years for Luka to return to Boston, this concert did not disappoint. With the exception of few a-holes in the back that had no interest in being there and talked loudly throughout, the concert was outstanding. I could've listened to him play all night!

Brighton Music Hall is a lovely venue except for the annoying drunken louts factor. I regret that the management seemed to do nothing whatever to quell the din of the jerks at the bar in the same room as the music. They were disconcerting, boorish and a real distraction. Luka finally interrupted a song to ask them to take it elsewhere as they obviously weren't there for the show. That said, Luka himself gave us a fun and inspired show. He charmed us all and sang old and new songs- he said off the cuff, just whatever he felt like doing with no set list. This was fascinating to me and I had a really great experience. It was my first time seeing him and my first time at the BMH. I will go back and I recommend the place. And I hope they get the loud drunks the hell outa there!! No one wants to pay for tickets and have the show disrupted this way.

Luka Bloom was fantastic. One disappointment was he had interrupt his show because several folks in the audience were particularly noisy. The establishment could do a better job addressing noisy patrons.

Luka Bloom is a masterful performer. He is warm, witty, and so much more. His soulful renditions of songs like Kiera, Don't be afraid of the Light that shines, Diamond Mountain, Monsoon, were magnificent. His lyrics speak about justice and love. You could tell he wanted to be there and gave us his all. Luka alone on stage with his guitar--what more could you ask for? Personal jokes and talking about his life. Letting the set flow, based on feedback from the audience. A seasoned performer who just keeps getting better and better.

I have seen Luka Bloom perform several times. Each time he puts his heart and soul into his performance. His show at Showcase Live was simply beautiful. He has such great talent musically, and then there is his witty humor and storytelling lyrics. He creates music that makes people see and feel what he's experiencing in everyday life. Then there's his voice, so soothing and lush, except when he sings songs like 'Fire'. Then you hear the passionate sound of his voice. I did want to see him play 'Fire' at the show, maybe next time. I find his guitar playing to be so unique and rhythmically beautiful, especially in the song 'Primavera'. He has an incredible gift, and guess what? He just showers it all over his fans. His song 'Don't be afraid of the light that shines within you' is an anthem to spirit. Luka Bloom is deep and transcendent, funny and light. See him play once and you'll want to see him again.

Luka was on top of his game this night. It was relaxed and full of great storires and songs. Venue was good, but better food choices at a more reasonable price would have helped. Luka...first class all the way!

The venue was perfect, sort of a dive but it worked. There was no opening act which meant that we were able to enjoy the amazing craftsman who shared his gift with us for over 2 hrs. I was so blown away by Luka Bloom that I am going to Ireland to see him again.
