Rose Royce

This was the best concert of the year. These folks had energy and they could sing. There was pure talent without foul language. Everyone was friendly and in a good mood; it could be called, "The Feel Good Concert." It was so good that someone proposed and got an answer if yes. It was beautiful.

I was really disappointed that Deniece Williams didn't show up for the concert. I was really looking forward to seeing her perform live. Deniece Williams was the main reason I chose to attend the concert. Shirley Murdock was on point! There were times during her perfomance when there were microphone issues, but it was corrected. Overall, I enjoyed the concert.

I had a wonderful time! I loved the flow the hostess and the venue. Want to go back next year! I haven't been to the LA County Fair in over 20 years!

Outstanding! Literally...We were outside and I did not sit down! Great music. Great seats.

I believe the event was fair for the price....kind of you get what you pay for...could have been better, and could have been worse.

Excellent shows. All artist performed well. Evelyn "champagne" King was great.

The concert was phenomenal. Each and every artist was still at the top of their game. To have all four entities on the same evening was priceless.

Enjoyed all of the bands wished they could play longer.

This is the 3rd year in a row for me. Saw all but Evelyn "Champagne" King in the past. Didn't enjoy this year as much as previous ones. The groups seemed RUSHED. Didn't get a change to get into the flow with the audience.

Awesome acts. Worth the trip. Took me back a few years ( in a good way)

I had front row seats thanks to TICKETMASTER and early purchase. I truly enjoyed myself. I love old school music as it was my era. And I was not disappointed. That Evelyn rocks every song and has energy to spare ! Her husband Mr. Fox is also great musician. I had never seen Rose Royce but let me tell you I'd pay to see them again. That is how good I thought they were. Both acts gets my thumbs up all the way. Tell them to come again close so I can go to see them as they are real entertainment they get you out of your seat with the music. I love the attire I do not like artist who do not dress up for us because we dress for them and they did just that in my opinion. Again thank them for that also. I AM A REAL FAN.

Evelyn Champagne King & Rose Royce compliment each other. The entire concert was electrifying from start to end.

My husband and I attended the concert Friday night and thought Evelyn Champagne Kimg and Rose Royce were both wonderful!!! They had a lot of energy, mingled with the audience and the music was fantastic!!!! so glad we attended!!!!

I last saw Rose Royce about 25 years ago, and I would say they were even better now. They had a sense of humor and because they were enjoying themselves so did we!! My friends and I danced all night - fabulous!!!

I ENJOY THE CONCERT IT WAS REALLY NICE......BROUGHT WE WAY BACK IN THE DAY...LOL. YES AND ROSE ROYCE WAS A DELIGHT. i ALSO ENJOYED THUNDERVALLEY AFTER THE CONCERT. IM LOOKING FORWARD IN SEEING KOOL & THE GANG, AND COMMADORES.

The show was great. It's was like watching them as if they had just came out. They move better than me and I'm much younger than them. I took my mom and we both enjoyed the show. I would go see them again. The lead singer of Rose Royce can sing her butt off, and Evelyn did her thing as well. She danced all the way to the ground, which is something I couldn't do. I really enjoyed it.

I loved this concert, these groups really appreciate their fans. They worked hard on everything. I would love to see this same concert again.

Old school was relived with the Rose Royce troop. Please continue the tradition with the great old school groups.

The singer were great!! Had a lot of technical difficulties with the sound at time it was hard to hear the person preforming.

Regina Belle and Denise Williams did not show without notice to audience, overall enjoyed others.

The show was horrible! The sound was bad. The lighting was bad. The overall production was the worst I had seen. The only good things were the female MC and Rose Royce.

That was the worst concert I have ever attended. I was so disappointed that Regina Belle and Denice Williams did not perform. That was the only reason I wanted to attend.

Overall good show. GQ as a single man highlight took the show!! all other oldies artist did good especially for their age. Only DISAPPOINTMENT: Rolls Royce. How are you going to highlight a show without your band. Playing a sound track?? Really??

great time going down memory lane.... only con was that an inconsiderate NON STOP female talked the ENTIRE 1st hour; we finally had to move. good thing there were other empty seats comparable to the ones we paid for.

This event was amazing! Concert was over 5 hours of pure love songs that we grew up with!! Reminded me of my mom and dad slow dancing at every wedding, quince and house parties. We loved it!

This show started out great and kept it going for hours! All acts used a real band, then Rolls Royce came on stage with only 3 members of the group...only one of the 3 was from the original band, and to top it off, they used recorded music...no band! I remember Rolls Royce being a band. They were the only bad performance...it was worth seeing the others.

This was a long and boring concert. I did not see Rose Royce, but I did see everyone except the last two acts. I was extremely disappointed, there were too many performers to enjoy. Then they performed too many song in their sets. It had been 4hours of boredom than I gave up and went home. The seats made my rear end scream, they were for minature people and my friend was also fatigued from this event.

This concert cannot be outdone! No way! I have been to many concerts and this one on Feb. 20, 2016, will be the most memorable one. It took me back to when I was a little girl, all the way to my grown years. It made me cry and laugh. Took me beyond my most inner sensitive feelings. Then it took me to a place in time, when I could not stop dancing, so I got up and brought life to my legs, once again. OMG, I have never been on such an emotional rollercoaster! I thoroughly enjoyed it and so did my other 5 guests that accompanied me to the show! AWESOME!!!

An incredible evening, all the artists were simply awesome. ...could not sit throughout out the show....dancing all night....and the House band was amazing. ...

Rose Royce was promoted as the headliner for this concert but they were not--STRIKE ONE. The band pictured in the promos for this event (see photo above) was no where to be found--STRIKE TWO. What we got instead was a trio of mediocre karaoke singers (bait-and-switch) that sang to a track even though every act prior to them had been backed by an awesome band---STRIKE THREE. Even though "Rose Royce" was the 2nd to last act of the night they still managed to close out the evening for A LOT of concert goers as many of us walked out during their performance. So many people left early that it took a full 20 minutes to exit the parking lot, even under the direction of the local police department. Though I wouldn't recommend the line up as it is, I would absolutely recommend a concert that included Bloodstone, The Intruders, The Floaters and possibly Heatwave and Peaches and Herb.

Rekindled our marriage of 30 years!!! We felt young again with songs: Sabor A Mi by El Chicano, Heatwave Always & Forever; Together The Intruders; Peaches and Herb, I Pledge My Love; Natural High Bloodstone; Barbara Lewis, and all the rest the! Awesome performance!! Great old school memories!! Alamodome / tech team * PA System microphones needed to be turned up on singers. Not quite on cue.

My favorite acts were Floaters and GQ. All Acts were good though!!

The wife and I went to the event for a get away and the line-up was amazing, The Intrulers was the best performance and they sounded great. The Floaters, Rose Royce, GQ, and Heatwave and Bloodstone did a great job. We will be again next year.

The one earlier in the year was much better. This one had too many artists sitting down due to be older in age and having just recovered from stroke and heart attack. Also, I hate an announcer that starts to sing a song that the artist he is introducing is about to perform. Super Love Jam owes me one.

I had an awesome time! All the groups brought back some great memories and took me back to a great time in my life!!

We were so glad we went to this concert. We had a great time. The music and groups were fantastic. The employees of the Alamodome made us feel welcome and security was top notch. We could relax, enjoy the music and know that we were safe. It was awesome. Yes I would go again.

The whole concert was amazing ! I enjoyed all my favorites in one night !

I have been going with my 2 best friends for the past 2 years and we have enjoyed it. I grew up listening to some of the music with my mom and as a teen. Bring it back. Until next time:)

I danced from my seat all night! It was an Awesome Concert! It was very entertaining. I loved that the Performers interacted with the Audience. I am looking forward to next years concert.

The concert was great with great performances by all the artists. I had a blast with my wife enjoying songs from back in the days. Two objections: 1. The sound that was used by Rose Royce was poor. They did not use a band with live instruments, but instead played a recording as background music to sing with. 2. The band El Chicano should have came out in the beginning of the show instead of after Rose Royce. The stands were half empty after Rose Royce finished their set.

It was a great night with great music. I liked my seats and the crowd.

The venue and all acts were funk tastic! What a show, everyone seem to be enjoying themselves, I know we did! Every act preformed as they have for years. Highly recommend this venue to everyone.

I loved all the performances EXCEPT heatwave. I was very disappointed. All other performances were great!

Each act was amazing and gave stellar performances. I couldn't believe how high energy they each were considering their seasoning. The song selection was outstanding

What a concert ! It is great to see these people still have the energy to give as they do and see that they enjoy what they are doing to still ! Evelyn Champagne King, Still has got it ! Lenny Williams was great with all the old songs. Heatwave is always special for me because of one of their songs that I dedicated to an old friend. And Rose Royce, still has that great sound and energy and they are still fun and enjoyable to listen to and to watch.

the whole event was great. evelyn gave the best show. i would go see her again . she should have hosted and closed. i never seen any of them in concert but evelyn was great.
