Sha Na Na
SHA NA NA IN CONCERT:Sha Na Na have been paying homage to the golden age of rock and roll since the late '60s, sparking a full-blown '50s revival with the throwback greaser image they presented to the world in 1969 at their legendary Woodstock appearance. Their pompadours may have gone white over the years, but these guys still know how to rock, taking the stage in greaser-inspired costumes and tearing through early rock classics with a showmanship that would make Elvis proud. On tour in 2014, the band will treat fans to their classic hits as well as their beloved contributions to the Grease film soundtrack at the Hollywood Bowl's annual Grease Sing-A-Long.BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:Formed in the late '60s by a group of a cappella singers from New York's Columbia University, Sha Na Na's retro-rock leanings contrasted with the hippie counterculture movement prevalent at the time.
