Percy Sledge

It was cold, it was wet, we were shivering in the wind... but Percy pulled off an amazing performance. If I had the chance, I'd do it again.

Opening act, Clarence Carter, was a lot of fun to see and hear. His voice is strong and continues to be a great act. Percy Sledge. . . not so much! He either ran out of steam during each song, or he simply forgot the words. We were happy we went, but only because Clarence Carter was enjoyable.

In the past, sometimes aging artist performances are disappointing. Percy's performance was the exception. The music sounded the way is was suppose too, the show was entertaining, the cost of the event was reasonable and the hospitality of the locale was exceptional. First time attending an event at The Pavillion, and we will be back for future artist.

If you want to go just to say you at one time saw the legend Percy Sledge then by all means go see him. The opening act was so much better than he was. He often sang off key. He draped a face towel over the microphone stand which blocked the view of him from our side of the audience--had to settle for watching the big screen. The man looks like he is ill (I hope he isn't).

This was a classic for the Lake Charles area. I'm a local and a "dinner show" is very unlikley in this area. Great job LeBerge!!!!

We weren't expecting entertainment this classy. If L'Auberge ever has another dinner show we will be there. Loved that they had a dance floor. Percy Sledge never ages. His voice was as good as ever. Great to hear the classics.

It was a great show with great food. I really liked his conversation with the audience.

This man sings with his whole heart & soul even after 40 years of entertaining He is so humble! The dinner L'auberge served was excellent. It was a wonderful night of Valentine romance and fun!

The evening was totally enjoyable. My husband wasn't sure he would enjoy Percy, but he did. Our entire party was thrown back forty years to our younger years, slow dancing to all of our favorite Percy songs. After the show, he signed autographs and was very kind to everyone.

Dance for me, Percy! GRIND THAT THANG!!! LOVE.....

The show was absolutely amazing! The tickets were for myself and my 10 year old daughter who loves Percy Sledge. We enjoyed every minute of being at The Joy Theater. The best part was when Percy Sledge took his time to meet Ali and sign her poster and concert tickets. I hope he comes back next year bc we will definately both be there again.

Percy Sledge's show at the Joy Theater in New Orleans was an absolute delight. He sounds amazing - his voice conveys the yearning and strength of classic, deep soul music. His duets with his beautiful wife were glorious, too! I was visiting New Orleans and seeing him at the newly renovated Joy Theater was a true honor and highlight of my great trip.

This concert was one of the BEST I've attended in a LONG TIME ! The artist is LEGENDARY and the venue was fabulous.

Once again Percy Sledge gave a great show. He sings with soul and has a voice that still can fill the house. Highly professional yet still feels personal. A not to be missed event. Great songs, band, performance. He can till charm an audience. The man knows his stuff and still pulls those soulful notes literally from his soul. Don't miss an opportunity to see him.

Loved the show and the auditorium. We could hear the music. Talk with our friends. Enjoy drinks with table service and get up and dance to the amazing Percy Sledge and Blue Eyed Soul! One of the the highlights was Percy doing Procol Harum - Whiter Shade of Pale - Awesome.

The show was great, would go back and see him again!!!!! Got to meet him the next morning at the hotel, a good man and down to earth type of guy.

It was pouring rain at the Amphitheather; however, Percy was fantastic. I didn't like the fact that if it had not been raining the cd's and signing by Percy would have been held outside; however, since it was bad weather, Wind Creek charged another $5.00 per person to get in to the Sound to purchase the CD's and ask him to autograph (most folks soaking wet). I can't say enough good things about Percy though! ABSOLUTELY the LEGEND he always was!!!
