Robben Ford

Bears den at Seneca Niagara casino is great small intimate atmosphere.....you could hear robben talking on stage without the mic, as if he was playin in my living room. Robben and his band were fantastic as expected. As a musician myself I can appreciate the small nuances as well as the outstanding musicianship. Can't wait to see them again down the road.

This was an excellent venue to see Robben. Not a bad seat in the house. He put on a great , personable show. Very impressive sound for a three piece band, awesome drummer from here in San Diego. Robben took time after each show to sign autographs untill everyone that wanted one got it.

Robben Ford and Michael Landau were incredibly tasteful and skilled musicians who really listen and interact with each other musically. They played beautifully with the sonic dynamics and it was a real treat to hear Renegade Creation. Jimmy Haslip and Gary Novak were also just great on the rhythm section. Robben has a nice voice which is something I didn't necessarily expect and it was a very tuneful musical and elevating experience. Highly recommended.

Aahhh talented Robben, we have always loved you. We were so excited to be able to see a perfomance in an intimate venue, because Robben Ford rocks We hated it. We loved him at the Hollywood Bowl. We own all of his CD's. Folks change, I guess. But now Robben Ford has diviated from the blues he's lost us, damn we loved his blues. What a disappointment.

My husband and I have followed Robben's career since he was in high school. Yes, he was great, even then. His latest assembly of musicians is incredible! Robben and his group played several songs from their soon-to-be-released CD. The musical talent required to play some of the progressions is amazing. The group was very much in sync, had fun, and put on a great show!

Awesome all I can say. This was my 15 year old sons first blues gig and he was blown away. My son is a Death Medal kid, and had never gotten to see real players like this. I'm glad some are still alive for my son to enjoy. I was immersed in the industry at a very young age and privileged to accompany my Father to the studio where he mixed and recorded records with such greats as Jimi Hendrix, Sonny & Cher, Ike & Tina Turner, and Bobby Darin. I have watched the industry develop from its simple roots into the highly complex technical business it is today and it was nice to see guys jam and really play.

All you wannabe guitar players better tune in to Robben Ford. I'm so tired of asking if you follow him and hearing, "Who?" Shame on you. Watch. Listen. You will be amazed and humbled. No one can touch his talent. The show was terrific, even though he ws feeling under the weather. Bravo Robben!

Guitarist or not if you have never heard of or seen Robben Ford you are missing one of the most advanced guitarists of our time. Blues, rock or jazz or___all of the above mixed into one, Robben's tasty touch and knowledge of the guitar makes one believe that some human beings can be that talented. His singing is not at all bad either considering he is playing lead chords at the same time! Any of his albums can attest to his genius. Play on!

Robben and his band is one of the best power trios' I've witnessed. A group of highly polished blue/jazz men with a hint of rock, fused together with one common goal. Ford's vocals bring it all back down to earth, after a realing of timing and tempo, unique all their own. Can't wait to see them , next time around.

Robben Ford is an amazing guitarist. His group performed an incredible show. What more can you ask for: incredible style, sound and mood by an extremely talented performer.

Robben was on last night. His virtuosity was, and still is amazing. His own blend of the Blues, Jazz and Rock will entertain anyone who enjoys any of these genres. His shows are a bargain compred to the skill and entertainment he exudes.

I very much enjoyed Robben's playing and the trio had several musical magic moments. A couple of the songs performed were maybe better than any recording I have heard from Robben which of course means a high bar was met and exceeded.

Prefect guitar, perfect singing. Excellent guitar tone, great stage presence. What more could you ask? Great price too.

I had never heard Robben Ford before but went on friend's recommendation. Ford was excellent-- great music, lots of variety, group played great together, ```and good mix of blues/jazz/funk.

I know Robben Ford mostly from his great guitar playing, mostly through jazz. This was a HORRIBLY LOUD ROCK CONCERT, and I didn't even particularly care for it as rock and roll. Well, I recently saw U2, so I guess that's a hard act to follow! As I told one of the bartenders (I sat at the bar), I actually enjoyed talking with him more than I enjoyed the concert!

Robben played a lot of my more recent favs. loved the 53 Les Paul he played.

This show was awesome. Smoken Joe Robinson is probably on of the best guitarist I've seen live. Deff go see them.

Ford was the main draw for me. Had missed his solo act on a couple of occasions in '15 and didn't want to pass on this unique tour. I honestly don't know a lot about Parnell and Robinson, so this show was a very pleasant surprise! These guys were entertaining and admirable with their individual performances. But when they came out to play together, I needed seat belts AND an air bag! They were so tight, as if they had toured together for years. One amazing talent from Down Under, one veteran guitarist from the Left Coast and a smooth slide master bluesman from Texas... a very unique trio that worked fine, for me. I was so 'high' after their awesome jam session, I wasn't fit to drive for a while! I'd give my right what-ever to have a nice audio recording of that session to enjoy again, and again, and...

Guitar Army combines three of today's best guitarists/singers/songwriters who deliver unbelievable guitar mastery with immense passion and enjoyment. If Guitar Army's mission is to connect the audience to an intense and rare experience through their music, then their mission was accomplished. This was their fourth public performance, which was extraordinary. Lee Roy + Robben + Joe = not three musicians, but a Guitar Army given their incredible talent. They complement and enhance each other with their unique skills and styles. I can only hope that they collaborate on writing music for many albums now and in the years ahead.

This was a great as formation of talent for one stage. Three excellent guitarists with varying styles; from young to veteran, each with there own distinctive trademark. The rhythm section was simply outstanding, driving home the beat & bass rarely seen together.

Great show. Joe Robinson is amazing. Thank you Robben for show casing Lee Roy and Joe! Great show and showmanship on so many levels!

I really enjoyed Robben Ford and his band. I've known about Robben Ford since the early 70's and his work with the Tom Scott and the LA express, the Blue LIne and one of my favorite CD's is Talk to Your Daughter. He plays some very unusual chord progressions yet it sounds great. I am very glad I got the opportunity to see him live. It was a good way to begin the Berks Jazz Fest. Thanks.

Music was good. Way too short. Tickets are expensive. Show should be longer than 70 minutes plus one song. Won't go see again because of that.

Venue was great, Building 24. Layout was a little funky, get there early if you want a good seat. Robben Ford should be ashamed of himself. He played for a total of 70 minutes and a good 10-15 minutes was a bass and drum solo. Very disappointed! Does he think he is Jimmy Page, give me a break. Done with this guy!

Musically he show was awesome!! Great musicians, awesome guitar playing and awesome guitar sound. Only problem was he barely played for an hour. And at the price of the tickets, I don't think I would go see him live again for that one reason.

Absolutely incredible. There is no one like Robben Ford.

I have seen Robben a few times. He is a musical genius. There isn't a more creative and fluid guitarist around for my money.

Great guitarist along with Mike Landau. KILLER BLUES / ROCK GUITAR MUSIC. WAY TO SHORT! BARELY OVER AN HOUR. THAT REALLY SUCKED.

Smooth as silk , with a little bit of rattlesnake on the side. Just an incredibly gentle soul travelling from traditional straight up delta to crunchy with some ultra light floaty stuff too. His bass player and drummer completed the sound just like when Jimi played with Noel and Mitch back in the day. I just love it when he makes that unexpected "left turn" just when you are getting comfortable and think you know what is coming next. My hat is off, once again, to a master and his virtuosity.

Robben really played his ass off at BB Kings. This outing was more straight ahead blues than I.m used to seeing him play. I loved it, but also missed some of he jazzier playing. The only downside to the show was a few in the audience,stage right, right at Robben's feet who were talking and making a lot of very distracting noise. Robben addressed them a couple of times but they continued to be disruptive.. BB Kings should have shown them the door.

Concert for a blues venue was way to short. I've seen Robben Ford 6-7 times and to play for a little over an hour is a joke!!

What a great group of musicians. The venue was one of the best I have been at for a concert.

My husband I were 3rd row center and loved the concert!! It was one of the best concerts that we have been to. We were not expecting him to play as Renegade Creation & would have loved to hear some of the older tunes but they are excellent musicians and we had an outstanding time!!!! They topped the night off with a CD signing. We'll remember this one for a long time! Wish we could have taken a few pictures, but it was nice not having alot of flashing going on.

If you are a fan of the blues, a fan of the guitar, or just love how four great musicians can make an evening so special, you would have loved this one. The guitar interplay between Landau and Ford was masterful. Robben Ford's tone is bright and full of reverb. While Michael Landau is on the darker side, hitting that pure clean Strat sound, and then taking it into Hendrix / Trower territory. All the while the bass and drums of Haslip and Novak are tight and steady, never falling out of the mix. Can't wait for the new album..........

Though I enjoyed the show and saw some pretty talented musicians, I was disappointed because when purchasing the tickets, I thought I was going to see Robben Ford, not Renegade Creation, so only heard 4 songs of Robben's. His music is much more upbeat with meaningful words and what I saw had a very jazzy twist. I'd like to point out that others should check his website to see when Renegade Creation will be playing with him. If he comes this way again, I would hope it's the Robben Ford band.

WOW!!! Let me first say... I was totally surprised when Robben walked out on stage & introduced the band as Renegade Creation... What a group... Michael Landau was the perfect complement to Robben and his unique sound... both these guys are real tone masters... add Jimmy Haslip on the 6 stringed bass & Gary Novack on Drums\u2026 It was amazing, almost nonstop from the moment they hit the stage...and Yes!! No ear plugs required... that s great!! Especially in a small intimate venue like the Bear's Den... They played many of the tunes from their first CD & some of Robben's stuff too... every bit of it was just amazing... I've seen quite a few shows in the last year... I have to say this was the best!! Being a guitar player myself\u2026 It was two for the price of one! Would I go again\u2026? You bet\u2026 I only hope I have the chance\u2026 Just hope Robben & Renegade Creation stop in Niagara Falls again soon!!

Just saw Robben with Michael Landau and "Renegade Creation" at The Bears Den in the Seneca Niagara Casino in Niagara Falls, NY. What a spectacular show! The place only seats 400 and we were about 30 feet from the stage. Robben and Michael compliment each other perfectly! Ford is such a precise, yet musical player. Landau is the most original player I have seen in a long time. Very "natural", very "organic." Lots of stuff off of "Renegade Destruction", which is the best album of the last 10 years. A couple of Robben tunes also, and some Jimmy Reed! One of the top 2 or 3 shows I have seen in my 35 years of going to them!

Great show by a great band ! How about bringing in Michael Landau's group ?

This live show was virtuoso AAA+++. Have followed RF, JH, & GN's careers for many, many years. Surprise! Michael Landau rocked out and melded perfectly with the band. As always Robben amazed any advanced gtr player, Gary and Jimmy were incredibly powerful and tight (as always) and Michael added an extra tasty dimension weaving in a little complex jazz, Jeff Beckish sometimes, and even some incredibly quick Carl Perkins rockabilly riffs that fit the hard edge amazingly well. The guys were relaxed while working their butts off. No holds barred!!!! The album is good but pales to the live show we've just experienced! A year later makes a big difference since the studio album came out (also the live at Peter's album). Wish this performance was recorded___don't know if it was. NOTE TO RENEGADE CREATION........NEED MORE RECORDINGS!! All the best guys, Big Bob Flushing NYC

Robben Ford playing with his Renegade Creation buddies Gary Novak, Mike Landau, and Jimmy Haslip were amazing Thursday night at b.B. Kings in NYC. Robben appeared to be having a very good time performing on stage and sounded great. Mike Landau accompanying Robben on guitar made for a very special evening of Blues guitar music. Jimmy Haslip is a master of the bass guitar and performed a number of Bass solos which were incredible! Gary Novak held everything together on the Drums and together the band provided a very enjoyable night out listening to the Blues. Robben played a few of his staple songs such as Peace on My Mind, Lovin' Cup, and Spoonful which all sounded great. The sound quality of the band was very good overall with Robben's vocals sounding very clear and crisp. Mike Landau's vocals were another story however as he was largely unintelligible with his monotone sounding voice. Mike's guitar playing however was incredible and made the show very sweet indeed. The concert was almost two hours in length which is much longer then the normal hour and 25 minutes or so that most shows run.

An incredible show. As always Robben Ford performance was most intense. Big portion of show was tunes from the groups new cd to be released in a couple weeks. His group Renegade Creation is no doubt gonna please all fans.
