Rebecca Parris

The First Lady of Boston Jazz put on a full show. Started on time, It was evident she was battling a cold, yet kept a stiff upper lip. Kudos to Rebecca Parris.

Met her first in the bathroom at Capriccio's in Providence, RI in the 70's and she just keeps getting better and better ... I think she might have been fighting a cold but she is a real trooper and her trio is fabulous as well. She always surrounds herself with amazing musicians and I LOVE her voice, her tone, her treatment. A fabulous evening worth twice as much!

Three of us went to see this show. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. The venue was perfect for this type of show with dinner and/or drinks as options. The musicians were wonderful as well.

What a show! She is the greatest Jazz singer in her era. A brilliant master of song and lyric, she enters your soul and mind on a personal level. You really feel she is singing to you, telling stories from her heart. Her arrangements are stunning, clever adaptations from the American Songbook with a nod to Brazilian Rhythms in many songs. She is an American original..........

Rebecca does not perform as often as she used to....but her voice and personality are still a great gift to the American Songbook.
