Neurosis were ACES. as was Amenra. Converge were better than I thought they would be. Went to the show just to see Neurosis, but all 3 bands impressed me!!!!!

Openers: The Body: I couldn't really get into these guys, lots of distortion and inaudible yelling. Short set, maybe 20 minutes. Brothers of the Sonic Cloth: I had no idea what to expect from these guys (and Girls), I knew Tad Doyle was the Frontman, but that was about it. They were really good, really, really good! Neurosis: The last time I saw Neurosis was the last time they toured the interior of the States, back in 1999, wow, has it been that long? Same venue also, Liberty Hall in Lawrence KS. Traveled 3 hours from Omaha back then, traveled 3 hours for this show, and was mildly considering driving up to Minneapolis so I could see them the following night. That should give you a sense of how I felt about this show. I will have to let it sink in a while before making it official, but I may position this show in the "Top 5" All-Time shows- I'm 44 and have seen alot of shows from all different genres, so that is an exclusive list. It was melodic, atmospheric, and melt your face off heavy. Sometimes it was just balls out rock and roll jamming. Neurosis is just plain GREAT live. They always have been and I assume if they get to a point where they are not, they will quit. I, along with many people in my vicinity were on an hour and forty-five minute emotional roller coaster. One minute I would be grinning from ear to ear watching a masterclass lesson in musicianship and the next I would get a sudden urge to punch my friend in the neck as they dropped some blistering riffs. GO SEE THIS TOUR. I almost passed and I am grateful I did not. The only negative was I had to purchase my ticket from Ticketmaster...oops did I just say that.

From the moment the band opened with 'A Sun that Never Sets', I knew I was in for a treat. It was loud, so much energy and the band was on point with all of the songs. One of my favorite shows I've ever been to, hands down.

Neurosis. ... stunning, cathartic, primal. Amazing set worth the openers The Body and Brothers of the Sonic Cloth. BOTSC killed it as well.

I've seen Neurosis somewhere around 10 times in my 38 years. First time was around 1989/90 in a tiny club in Long Beach. My 15 year old mind was blown. I've jumped at the chance to see them every single time i could catch them since. I've missed a few but i've savored every minute of every show i've been able catch. They are arguably one of the best live bands in the history of hardcore/punk/metal. Everyone should experience Neurosis at least once in their lives.

Been waiting a long time to see this band live and they did not disappoint. They left it all on the stage that night. It was an honor to watch them perform on stage. Savage Republic also did a fantastic job as the opening act.

The theater was well organized and we were able to get through security without an issue. We had awesome seats for what had to be the BEST Neurosis concerts I have ever been. A wall of sound that was aggressive yet surrene.

Neurosis have such an incredibly massive tone live. It like being hit by a Mack truck in slow motion at a neurosis show. It is also like attending a beard convention with singing bears as entertainment. They didn't play many older songs this time around but the show was just as powerful as ever. They also abandoned the use of projected images while playing. I expected this to make for a less entertaining experience, but it was actually kind of refreshing to see some master musicians stripped down to their core and still putting in an amazing show. The only reason this event doesn't get 5 stars is that I felt the set list could have reflected more of their musical catalog. If you haven't seen neurosis live go and have ever bone in your body rumbled as they attempt to find the "brown note" it will be a spiritual experience

Amazing... they are legends, best show I have ever seen and I saw Soundgarden in the 90s, Opeth (Blackwater Park days) and ISIS (final tour)... just to name a few comparisons.

Neurosis raged! Heavy, tight, and heavy. Incredible show, if you like post-metal, in your face raging.

Sick show. I wasn't very familiar with Neurosis' music only having listened to a few tunes here and there. They played 2 hours of glorious DOOM! Very tight, very heavy, very loud! All the other bands on the bill were very good, a rare thing. USXMAS and Rwake both rocked it and Primate brand of punk/grindcore was a welcome edition to the bill.

My first time at the Fox Theater in Oakland, and what an awesome venue. Neurosis has a reputation for a killer live show, and they brought it. The sound quality was great and added to the mesmerizing visuals. The CD's are suddenly not as cool now that I've seen them live. Amazing show, easily one of the top shows of the year

A Neurosis show should ALWAYS have Locust Star and Through Silver and Blood performed!

Balls to the wall, pedal to the metal, kick ass take no prisoners, rock 'n roll show with YOB, and, VOIVOD, restores sanity to one humble concert goer. Transcendental and Epiphanic. Electric POWER to the people!! On my, "top five shows ever attended" list (since 1966.) I am old, but... Couldn't sit/stand still during the entire two hour Neurosis set; managed to strain a left, Tensor fasciae latae muscle. OW! (I'm OK)

seen them a couple times back in 97' thru 2001 and geeze what a show! they never tour anymore. so if u ever have the chance to snag a show DO IT. they play sweet metal jams with fun films playing behind them. they also have a ton of ppl in the band. so it is not uncommon to see 3 or more drummers drumming a fancy frenzy of chaos that leaves u wanting to pick up a couple sticks and join them.
