Corky Laing

Corky was very entertaining. He told some fun stories about writing and performing the music of Mountain. The musicians that played with him were great. Chris Shutters played the guitar and sang with an amazing voice. The guitar work was beautiful and clear. Mark Mikel kept the base thumping and did some great vocal work. For a 70 year old Corky can still play the drums that keep the beat going. I wish him many more years of rock and roll and I will keep my eye out for more musical work by Chris and Mark All in all a great show THANK YOU

Seeing Kofi Baker and Corky Laing in such an intimate venue was simply outstanding! They were warm and friendly and engaged the audience in between songs with jokes and conversation, stories from the past, etc. It was like being in their living room. Hearing the music of Cream and Mountain live was great! And yes, they played all the favs!! I would love to see this duo do more shows in the New York Tri-State area because I would DEFINITELY go again! And bring friends!!

BB Kings is one of the best venues to see a concert, given how close all the seats are to the stage. The wait staff was fantastic, the food delicious, and the drinks well made. But, the best part of course was to see superior musicians playing live "within reach." As a long-time fan of Cream, Blind Faith, and Mountain, it was a super treat to see Ginger Baker's son Kofi perform his father's music. In addition, he had great stories to tell! Then, having Corky Laing himself join Kofi on stage was incredible -- playing Crossroads no less. Corky Laing Plays Mountain was all it promised to be. Along with Phil Baker, Joe Venti and Ken Sidotti, Corky's performance was electrified - playing all the favorites from Mountain. If you get a chance, look for future performances and go see them - you won't be disappointed!

Corky does it again. This band rocks! Original tunes and great vocals...if you like hard rock you gotta catch this group. Awesome.
