The Stampeders

The Stampeders

THE STAMPEDERS IN CONCERT:The Stampeders first stormed the Canadian rock scene in 1964 and they haven't slowed down ever since. Whether they're strumming a double-neck electric on "Sweet City Woman" or charging through fan-favorite "Ramona", the trio still possesses the same rock ‘n' roll chops they did 50 years ago. As one of Canada's most legendary groups, the Stampeders give ticket buyers one exhilarating performance after another on their exciting tours. BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:Originally known as the five-piece group the Rebounds, the Stampeders formed in 1965 and became a trio comprised of Rich Dodson, Ronnie King, and Kim Berly.

Great Canadian internationally renowned band originally from Calgary - love Marigold - and so many of their songs -- they are funny, charming, amazing musicians I find myself focusing in on the guitarist, the drummer, bass player taking in all their moves, licks and individual skill as well as the whole musical artistry that makes their music just solid great rock and roll --- second time to see them and they are coming back in October, they say --- when the tickets go on, I'll be picking them up. All I can say is wow! Major fun night if you love lyrical rock, a fat bass sound, and driving rock and roll drumming along with amazing guitar riffs and solos. I think the Calgary Stampeders should adopt Marigold as their theme song, since they are originally from Calgary and a song about a horse, wow that rockin' gallop would be awesome - I'll add that note the next time I review a Stamps game haha.

I saw the Stampeders for the first time just last Saturday in Northern Canada and they were amazing. They sang that I liked called "Sweet City Woman" and when one of the band members Ronnie King saw two young girls with black hair....he went close to the stage and Flirted with them. After the concert I got to meet the Stampeders personally and got their autograph for my uncle & me.

They should have done a sound check prior to the concert so that they didn't have to restart two songs. It was okay but the venue was blaming ticket master for printing double tickets for the reserved seating. The Casino needs to come up with a better system. People who paid the extra amount of $10.00 per ticket for reserved seating ...well not everyone got it. There were people sitting in our seats....
