Larry Gatlin

The show was wonderful and made you want to go to the back and dance. But it was really short.

Truly enjoyed the Gatlin brothers. The follow up singer was too not as good.

Most definitely in the top 2-3 concerts I have attended in 60+ years!

Larry and his brothers still have what it takes to entertain an audience. Larry was funny as well as an amazing singer. The two hour show was full of old favorites as well as some new songs which we enjoyed as much as the oldies. This was our first event at the Anderson Theater and we loved the seating arrangements. I don't believe there was a bad seat in the theater and because of its smaller size you really felt close to the entertainers. This was our first concert at the Anderson Theater and we will certainly plan to go to more events there.

Larry Gatlin has an amazing voice. He sounds like his voice is still 20 years old. We had the best time!

Loved the music of Larry Gatlin and his brothers for years and Saturday night's performance only enhanced the pleasure. His voice was spectacular and the Gatlin harmony was its usual blend of excellence. I hope he comes back to Atlanta; if so we'll be there.............

Larry and the brothers were a sight and sound to behold! I never tire of hearing that great voice and their perfect harmony. Heaven can't sound much better. I'm thrilled that the boys are touring and sharing their talents.

This was the night of nights. Larry Gatlin's voice is till great and his brothers harmony is wonderful. This was a wonderful concert and if you get a change to see him in concert, please go. You will not regret it.

I was not familiar with the Gatlin Brothers, but my wife is a big fan. We went to see the show, and it was very entertaining even for someone that wasn't familiar with all the songs.

The Gatlin Brothers put on a remarkable show. They were very interactive with the audience, inviting participation -- even encouraging the audience to sing the refrains to some of their songs. They sang their hits and then some others that were very good, enjoyable songs.

The Gatlins still harmonize beautifully. They sang the hits that made them famous and everyone loved those. They interwined patriotic songs and new songs in the concert as well. Larry's humor kept things rolling all night. I saw them in the 80's when they were at the top of their game and was not dissapointed in their return perfomance almost 30 years later.

I loved the Larry Gatlin concert. He and his brothers still sound great and I loved hearing all the old songs and the new ones. The brothers were personable and the show moved quick....too quick. I want to see them again soon.

These guys were great! They've been on my list of people to see for 20 years, but it never worked out. Am glad we went.....their harmonies are right at the top of the list! Larry was very funny and quick-witted onstage and he still hit all the high notes, allergies and all. It was also nice to not have to suffer thru a mediocre opening act. TPAC is a great venue. It was just too bad that there weren't more people there, but one of the Kansas teams was playing in the sweet 16 that night, so I'm sure that took quite a few folks away from the concert.

Concert was VERY good!!! I did not know what to expect, I'm not a huge Country fan but my husband loves it. I bought the tickets for him. It was nice to go tot a wholesome, American based, Christian show

The Gatlin Brothers were great. Although the audience was small the performance was more than I had anticipated. With the smaller crowd, they were very engaged with the audience...more than they had hoped, at times, I'm sure. It's a joy to spend an evening being entertained by wholesome, talented performers who seem to be enjoying themselves, too.

The concert began and ended on the same note.. Very forgettable. The Gatlin brothers came on stage sang for a few minutes than went into a dialogue for five minutes before completing the song. Larry Gatlin well meaning as he might have been took on the role of a comedian. Though enjoyable at times it became old. It seemed to me the show was over before it began. If I had a known the show was a thumbs down I would have spent the hour and a half doing something else. I've been to many concerts very good to just okay. The Gatlins were a let down

Music and humor was excellent! Larry has excellent voice, especially the high notes. His band and brothers were outstanding support. Larry really knows how to interact with the audience. Had them laughing and applauding throughout the performance with his spontaneity of humor.

My wife and I bought tickets and really looked forward to going to hear the Gatlins. We were not disappointed. We got to hear the songs from over the years that we have come to love from the Gatlins. Their mix of music, humor, and interaction with the audience was great.

Larry Gatlin and his brothers always provide a great show. Its fun and light hearted. They make you feel as if they are your friends and they are singing just for you. They are personable and always make an effort to include the audience.

In the time of ear-splitting concerts, full of vulgar language and inuendos, this concert was a delight. Larry Gatlin was engaging, friendly and outgoing. He was on stage every minute and they sang a mix of old songs and new songs that were written for other performers. I could wish it would have been longer because they still sound the same and there were more songs I would have loved to hear. After the concert ended, members of the audience could buy their CDs and come back in to get them personally autographed, truly a personal outreach from the Gatlins.

I was a bit disappointed. There were times when I could not understand what Larry was saying/singing. The length of time they played for the price of the ticket was very disappointing. They played for about 40 minutes and had their "staged" exit that they knew they would come back for another song. So technically he talked more than they played music and I felt they didn't play enough of the songs that someone who isn't a true follower but follows country music would recognize. They have had lots of songs played during their careers on shows and radio stations that someone of my maturity (50 yrs) would at least recognize. Anyway, there were 2 women in the aisle in front of me that were enjoying the show and it was nice to see them having a good time until the couple in front of them were so rude and hateful to them that the whole section felt uncomfortable even after the show had concluded. Overall, this was my first visit to the resort/casino/theater and felt the theater was very nice and accommodating. Would like to know that in case of fire the exiting of the room would be much easier and faster than exiting was after the show. I probably won't spend the amount of money to attend another event there, but thank you for letting me inform you of my experience.

I have been a fan of Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers since their careers began. I have been to one other concert, in Branson, MO, a few years ago. Both concerts were great! They are pros. Loved hearing the old hits. But, there was new material, too, and Larry's personal stories about other performers from the past 50 years in the business were worth the price of admission. He seems a humble person who really appreciates his audience and treated us with the utmost respect.

Started and ended on time. Non stop music. Great review of loved songs. Larry really has a great repor with the audience. A funny guy!

Excellent show. The Gatlin's are very audience friendly - inviting the audience to participate - turning up the lights so they could see the audience. Never seen this before. Liked it! Music - superb - as they sang some oldies but goodies and some new ones. Larry Gatlin's stories were the best. Almost get a country music history lesson. Very enjoyable.

GREAT SHOW. MY WIFE WENT WITH ME. SHE IS NOT A BIG COUNTRY MUSIC FAN. SHE ENJOYED IT AS MUCH AS I DID. WE ENJOYED THE OLD FAVORITES AND SOME OF THE NEW SONGS. WELL WORTH THE MONEY.

Wasn't sure what to expect but WOW! These guys still have it. They understand the audience and can still produce at a very high level. Not a big production, just doing what they do well and worth every penny.

The show quality far exceeds any of the contemporary entertainment that tends to occupy the entertainment industry these days. This show is a reflection of honesty and integrity in both entertainment and cultural value. No skin, no vulgarity, no disengenuosity, no overt showmanship........just down right simple yet genuine music and talent that plays to ethical and moral Americana....... While the evening was short lived, the audience left the venue with feelings that they'd been served with sincerety and an honest devotion to music and the traditional roles of music in American culture. We recommend this show and the Gatlin Brothers to anyone who appreciates artists that have a genuine interest in their fellow man and the contributions they can make to improve life for all.

We loved the show! I took my husband who doesn't care for country music all that much, and he said it was fantastic! I have always been a big fan of the Gatlins, and this concert did not disappoint me in anyway. The way they can harmonize is incredible. Loved Larry's sense of humor. We will definitely attend again next year if Deadwood is lucky enough to get them back.

We took my mom for her Christmas gift and we all loved it. It was very gratifying to see the joy in her eyes as she listened to their old favorites and the traditional Christmas songs.

Larry Gatlin has one of the most powerful male voices weI have EVER heard! We thoroughly enjoyed their performance of greatest hits, gospel, & Christmas tunes, as well as wonderful stories about how the music evolved the way that it did. Larry really knows how to connect with the audience. If offered the opportunity to see them again, we will most certainly go!

Larry, Steve and the Band were fabulous! One of the best concerts we've been to. Even though Rudy wasn't there (ill), the music was still great. Lots of sing-alongs, which the audience loved. Gary Mule Deer, guest comedian/musician, was fantastic -- haven't laughed so hard in a long time! Highly recommend!

Music and entertainment that never gets old. Outstanding! Even minus one Gatlin, it was perfection, absolute perfection! Adding Gary Mule Deer to the evening was genius.

Larry put on a great show, the sound system was not the best but a good time and have not seen Larry since he stayed at my ranch by Deadwood, he looks great...the band and the other brother were great also...

Rudy was hospitalized but that didn't stop Larry and Steve from putting on a clutch performance with guest Gary Mule Deer. A n outstanding show of entertainment and musical nostagia.

It was a good show. Only thing is When I bought these tickets, I thought it was larry gatlin and brothers, picture showed him and brothers, just like it does on this review page above. It does say beside it " Larry Gatlin", a little misleading, but Show was still good.

Could have done a little less talking and a little more singing the first part of the show

This was a very interesting event. I liked the small venue and the interaction Larry had with the audience. He is very talented and a great entertainer.

I am not a country music fan, had heard only 1 of their hit songs, and reluctantly attended the concert because I have friends who like the group. They gave a wonderful and engaging concert, had the crowd laughing and singing for nearly two hours. Definitely worth the price of the ticket just for that, but their harmonies were outstanding. I would go again if they came back to Atlanta.

Played music less then an hour and he did not seem to be in to the show

Great venue with a performer who still has it and gives an excellent mix of story telling, humor and a great mix of his music. A steal for the price.

They sound the same as 35 years ago. Larry's voice was full and strong. Great sound in the DiamondJacks showroom.

Me and my husband were at the Diamondjack Casino for our 29th wedding anniversary. We really enjoyed the show and would go to another one maybe closer to home.

I thought the showmanship was really good. the stories were interesting. Larry's voice has lost volume. I thought the brothers had better quality. But the songs were great and I enjoyed the show. I would do it again. In a different venue.

They were great! A lot of American support ! Old photos that were priceless of memories gone past. They interacted with the audience. Larry told some funny stories. They kept us laughing and well entertained.

Gatlin said he had a cold, could hardly sing at all, and only offered a refund if you left immediately after the concert started. Quite disappointing.

I have dreamed of being able to see Larry Gatlin for over 40 years. My dream matwerialized and it was worth the wait. If the opportunity ever presents itself again, I will take full advantage. Everything about this event was stellar! Thanks Larry and The Turningstone!

Larry Gatlin has long been one of my favorite artists, and he and his talented brothers did not disappoint. They did a lot of their hits, beautifully, and were quite funny besides. The stories of their personal and working relationships with the likes of Roger Miller, Johnny Cash and Patrick Swayze were very touching. I hope they return next year.

This group has been around for years. They sound just as good today as they did in the 80's. Just a great, entertaining evening with top flight talent.

What a great show! The music was fantastic, as expected. The Brothers banter was a bit predictable, but Larry's ability to monologue and engage the audience was very entertaining. Their harmonies can't be duplicated. Fans were treated to many old favorites and some great new songs too. The Birchmere as a venue offers a hard-to-find "dinner-theatre" type atmosphere where attendees get a really personal feel for the entertainers. I hope the Gatlins come back soon.

They were remarkable! Larry was funny, connected well with the audience, encouraged audience participation, the music was fabulous! I'd go to see them perform again!

My wife & I are in the entertainment business. We do get paid but are on a much more amateur level compared to these professionals. I am a musician/DJ/MC and my wife is a singer. We went to see this show specifically to appreciate the excellent quality of the vocals presented. The band was phenomenal but the harmonies presented were super to the utmost degree! Larry's crowd interaction and banter along with his story telling made it that much more enjoyable! We appreciate what entertainers have to go through and therefore appreciate an excellent performance that much more!

Truly, truly loved this concert. The Gatling brothers made everyone just feel so welcome and entertained throughout the concert. Must say Larry Gatlin has NOT lost his voice and sings just as fabulously as he ever has. I remember seeing them in Branson, MO and this concert was on par with that concert. Loved the antics between the brothers. Loved the new songs that are now out on their new CD (I purchased the Christmas CD and the new CD). Hopefully they will come back again to perform.

This was a great concert! The Gatlins still have it after all these years. I think they still sing in the original key. Did a 90 min set. Mixed in some comedy and audience interaction, as Larry always does. Stayed in the autograph line til every fan was gone. Very personable. You just dont see that anymore from todays artists.

The concert was pretty good but didn't last very long; Would have expected more than an hour. Really enjoyed the old #1 hits! The crowd was mainly a group of older seniors that pretty much just sat there - I almost felt sorry for the Gatlins. Wake up people! Larry & the Gatlin Brothers were funny and personable on stage, but out in the lobby signing autographs, they lived up to there impersonable reputation. I tried talking to them and was totally ignored. I'm sorry I spent the money on their album just to be treated indifferently. Good enough show, but too short, not enough hits played and indifferent in person. I enjoyed their music though.

A solid performance by Larry and his brothers, but I tend to think there was a bit too much storytelling, and not quite enough songs. This would have been rectified by a slightly longer set. As it was, it was 75-minutes and done. 90 minutes, and I would have added an extra star.

Some of my favorite songs didn't get sung. But they sounded GREAT!

Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers put on a great show. They performed for 90 minutes. The song selection was great and the interacting with the audience was great. They also signed autographs after the show. I would definitely go see them again. My husband and I really enjoyed the show.
