Two great Latin orchestras, Orquestra Aragon from Havana, Cuba and a local band. Each played two full sets of very danceable Latin music. Orquestra Aragon was the group that introduced the Cha Cha to the world, and have not lost their touch. Between sets there were dance exhibitions by US and World dance champions in many different genres. The dancers happened to be in town due to the Millennium Dancesport competion that was held until that morning in Tampa. The Millennium also brought out many other dancers to Afternoon in Havana, so the level of general dancing was very high as well. Great Cuban food, plenty of room on the dance floor and wonderful music. Who could ask for more? If you missed it, look for it next year. Highly recommended!

I was extremely disappointed in this entire event. It was billed as "Buena Vista Social Club" but there was no mention of that during the event. I thought a few remaining members of the BVSC that were absorbed into the Orquesta Aragon were going to be there. Nope! The event turned into a charity-like event and an advertising event for Dancing w/the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance. The venue was a disaster. Seating showed we had a table for four to ourselves but really we had to share a table with like 20 other people. As for the food? A couple of pieces of cuban sandwiches and a some yellow rice. Where was the cigar room? Microphones were screaching and the sound was overall terrible. My entire party left after only about an hour and a half because it was that awful. Oh yeah, did I mention the mojito I bought there tasted like cough syrup and had only 1 mint leaf? WORST EVENT EVER. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. WILL NEVER SEE ANOTHER SHOW AT THE COLISEUM EVER AGAIN.

Energetic, dynamic and exciting performance of a combination of old and new Cuban music. Amazing two hours of electrifying music, compelling you to dance on the floor or in your seat! Highly recommend!

This show was very short only 1hr and a half and there was long wait between songs. They most have been tired or didn't, want to be there. Last year there show was better over 2hrs long and more complete songs. I don,t know if I will go to there next show..

Concert was Fantastic wish it would have been a little longer. The crowd displayed their feeling towards the concert as everyone was up dancing and singing along filled with joy and happiness as they remembered and enjoyed every second of the peformance. Need to bring them back again asap however, the air condition in the auditorium was poor. I don't know if it was because of he heat the body of the crowd was expelling from dancing but it was very hot.

It was my First time seeing them, but as a young little girl I would hear them in my home all the time, it brought many memories to me of when I was a little girl dancing with my father. It was a day that I will not forget. I wish the concert would of been a bit longer, I think it was a little short. But I sincerely thank orquest Aragon for bring me back to those moments in my life. May there be a free Cuba some day.

It was a real treat to have seen them after so many years of listening to them. It was a birthday gift to my husband and the best gift ever I gave to both of us.

Group was amazing, had everyone dancing and I am sure brought back alot of memories. Just made you get up and dance, had a hard time sitting down and just watching them. If they come back again I will definitely go see them, we don't have Danzon, cha-cha and boleros like this anymore.

The current musicians have kept the original sound and that is what is important. This took me way back to when my father would play all their LPs and I developed a lifelong devocion to Cuban music, especially the older sound. The violin solo was great and the battle of the flute players moved me....I love this instrument which is integral to Cuban music. Aragon -simply the best.
