WHEN SHE MADE HER ENTRANCE IN THE SECOND ACT, THE AUDIENCE STOOD AND SHOWERED HER WITH LOVE JUST AS THEY DID WHEN SHE MADE HER ENTRANCE DOWN THE STEPS OF THE HARMONIA GARDENS AT HE TOP OF ACT TWO OF "DOLLY". WHAT STARTED OUT AS A DREARY EVENING OF SONG AND PATTER BY JUSTIN VIVIAN BOND TURNED INTO A NIGHT TO TREASURE THIS WONDERFULLY FUNNY AND CHARISMATIC GRANDE DAME OF THE THEATRE. FOR 93 YEARS OF AGE SHE KEEPS HERSELF SVELTE AND USES HER KEEN WIT AND OVERSIZED FACIAL EXPRESSIONS TO GREAT ADVANTAGE. SHE IS A FUNNY LADY WITH A SHARP SENSE OF HUMOR AND QUICK RETORT,YET WHEN SHE REPRISES HER FAMOUS "EPHRAM SPEECH" SHE CAN MELT EVEN THE COLDEST OF INDIVIDUALS. BRAVA CAROL.

A fabulous evening of entertainment and star gazing as the audience was loaded with celebs. Yes there were some technical issues with the video interview portion of the show. This hiccup was handled very well by the cast. The evening was an experience I won't soon forget.

Mx Justin Vivian Bond as fierce as ever - had no idea the first set would be Mx Bond solo - what a talent, what a wit, great entertainer. Then after the break Miss Carol Channing came out and giddy merriment took over - i have never been in such a collectively happy audience

Carol Channing was lovely, warm and charming! She spoke of old stories and memories and those she liked and missed in the industry.

What a pure evening of joy and what a perfect pair Carol Channing and Justin Vivian Bond made. First V was as sharp and smooth as ever with a series of wonderful songs and the cover of the Look of Love was simply ethereal. Then La Carol Channing took the stage and got a standing ovation that went on forever. Ms. Channing was charming and so Carol. That voice, her comic wit and lovely memories were enchanting. She even did a little singing and brought me to tears with how beautifully she delivered the "Ephraim"" monologue from the end of Hello Dolly. The two together were like classic comedy couple like Burns and Allen. Funny, sweet, lovingly biting and certainly a memorable and historic night. A perfect storm of talent and history.
