The guitar work was nice. The singing was awful. It was a weak flamenco show. It was like ring a a campsite gypsy funeral. My wife, daughters, and I walked out at intermission.

The music was passionate and the dancing seductively moving. From the gut wrentching cries of the vocals to the rapid tremolo of Pacos fingers this show was incredible. Thank you. Please come again.

It was a wonderful display of flamenco. Simply starting at first with the guitarra, and then adding the palm clapping (palmas), castanets (palillos), the wooden box (cajon), footwork (taconeo) and the soulful voices (redonda con mucho duende). It was a nice imaginary trip to Andulasia. The dancing and singing was done by both males and females that gave a nice balance to the show. The venue was nice with a break in between with hot drinks, wine, and snacks. The theater has good acoustics and everything could be heard. Paco is a great guitarist and it was a wonderful experience of simply spanish guitar, accompanied by gypsy singing and dancing.

Five stars are not enough. The music and dancing were utterly thrilling. i didn't want it to end. i wish Pena and his company would come to NY more often. They capture soaring emotion in a way no other art form does, and in a way many other companies who call themselves flamenco do not. More, please!

If you like extraordinary guitar sounds, this show is amazing. Just the guitars alone did it for me but, the flamenco dancing was very moving as well.

Let me just say I was blown away by the music, the energy, the colors, and the dancing!!!!!!! This was a show that cannot be compared to anything I've seen so far in my life. I would go again if he comes back with another show. Spectacular and moving, I must say!

Was a great performance. I would have liked more flamenco dances such as the Farrucas, Sevillanas, Rumba flamenca in general more of the original flamenco.. In all it was a great performance at the end a bit too classical which is why I say that more original flamenco would have made the performance evengreater. Lately I noticed that other perfomers are being too classical and are drawing away from the original Flamenco, i.e. Joaquin Cortez.

The music and dance together made for an amazing experience. The dancing, in particular, was superb. I sat next to an 81 old Spanish gentleman who used to dance professionally, and he was so happy and moved by the dancing, he couldn't help clapping to rhythm and shouting out. The group seemed to be affected by the audience's enthusiasm as well and gave it their all. It was great!

I have been to Spain twice in my lifetime and had the pleasure of seeing 2 very different Flamenco Shows. Both were set in a more intimate setting, while the show I saw last night was more of a show presented- Paco Pena Flamenco could not have provided me with more pleasure or joy. I enjoyed the sound quality - the singing and the dancing. It was also very different then my other shows and that just added to the overall enjoyment. I plan on being back again next year and can only hope for another fabulous evening.

What an unbelievable show. Paco Pena is truly THE master of flamenco guitar. His solo performance was excquisite. Joining Mr. Pena were two other guitarists, two vocalists and a male dancer and female dancer. The ensemble was extraordinary. The dancers were flawless and the vocal chops of these two singers was something to behold. This was a truly amazing show - I didn't want it to end.

It was the best flamenco dance performance I have ever seen & I have seen many. The dances were very authentic, creative & powerful. The female lead dancer had amazing intensity showing on her face - almost like she was possessed. Wonderful

We loved the venue, easy to park, the show was great only one thing that actually madam very frustrated. For some odd reason Paco and his 2 other guitarists insisted on facing sideways most of the show. YUP he is the top Flamenco guitarist in the world and I am a guitarist too so what do I want to go see him for if I can't see him. I want to watch his hands, OK hearing him is great but I can hear him on youtube. I Want to watch him and he sat SIDEWAYS. I was in the front row on the right side and all I could see was his back. Very Strange. I was so upset I almost went backstage during the break to say something LOL. Other then that the dancing was superb, amazing and the guitar playing was off the charts. That style singing wears on me. it is always at a 10. but that's the style.

Paco Pena is not only one of the best contemporary flamenco guitarists, but he surrounds himself with artists and puts together performances that are both artistic and entertaining. The two lead dancers, Charo Espino and Angel Munoz are stellar, and the musicians are top notch.

This was the most perfect flamenco offering we've ever seen (and we've seen all the best over the years): an intimate, balanced presentation of perfect guitars, perfect drumming, perfect singing and perfect dancing, without need of flashy costumes, over-sexed histrionics or overdone theatricals to reveal the soul of flamenco. Each troupe member was an absolute master of his/her embodied specialty in peak performance form, presented in a very cohesive format.

The show was great. The dancers were hypnotic. Their movemeants grabed you, and held you untill the dance was over. Ths singers voices were amazing. You could feel the power, and pain in ever word. The other musicians were outstanding. Mr. Pena had a great troup around. He was terrific. His solo at the begining, showed you how accomplished he is. Watching his fingers fly over the guitar, worth the price of the ticket. The sound system was great also. The 1/2 price deal on tickets, is a great idea. It gave me the opportunity to experence a show that I might not have taken a chance on seeing. Thanks, it was a great night for my girl and I.

I bought these tickets because I had never seen Flamenco, and thought I would like to. I dragged my boyfriend, who said, "Wake me when it is over." Well, I hope I can describe what a joy this performance was, from beginning to end. The music was unusual, from plaintive, to rhythmic, to ecstatic. The dancing was gorgeous, and the male dancer took your breath away! He could do things with his feet, create rhythms, that just had you feeling joyful. And the drummer! He was playing what looked like a wooden box, and the sounds he made with that instrument were a revelation. By the end of the performance, in fact, I had a lump in my throat....I was just so moved by the love the whole troupe had for the work they do...it was palpable. I would tell anyone to do what ever they have to do to see this show. And my boyfriend? He was totally surprised, and enjoyed it as much as I did!!!

I have seen a great deal of Spanish flamenco dancing having lived in Spain for many years. This show was excellent. The only criticism I have is about the dresses which were for the most part drab. It is rare in Spain to see the National Spanish Ballet (that performs traditional dancing) and other dance companies wear such colorless outfits.

This was one of the best musical performances I have ever seen! All of the dancers were spectacular with such fluid and expressive movements! Each player; I thought, contributed equally, and I was amazed by the drummer's skill. I loved the stage lighting and effects also.

Paco's show was awesome. Everyone was a master of thier craft doing their special part with passion and talent. Listening to Paco play was a real treat that brought tears to my eyes. Watching the dancers' graceful movements spiced with rapid footwork was beyong thrilling, I couldn't believe continuous golpes of that duration were even possible! I don't normally enjoy the cante, but these singers were especially soleful, especially the young man, who had a voice like silk that was softened with tears. I hope to see this show again in the future! Ole!

The dancers and singers were very good and very passionate, but Pena's guitar playing was more technically correct than passionate. He subtracted rather than added to the experience.

This ensemble was truly astounding. The musicians, vocalists and dancers were all perfect. So many extraordinary dance combinations and dazzling footwork that even with fabulous seats, it was difficult to keep track of all the action. The audience was wonderfully responsive and gave the group numerous standing ovations and rounds of applause. Beautiful costumes, and so many of them! We would love to see Paco Pena perform in the DC area again soon.
