Robin has a tight band, they played a nice long set, and sounded great. Like everyone else, I would have loved to hear more Cheap Trick, it was essentially a night of classic rock cover songs. I was surprised by the modest turnout, but I loved the show.

The Robin Zander Band hit the stage with a bang and did some originals, covers of the beatles, the who and ac/dc. Robins son Robin Taylor Zander played in the Band also and TOTALLY blew me away with his AWESOME guitar playing!!! Looking for more from Him. All in all, GREAT show, well worth the price and will definitely go see them again next time they come to NYC!!!

I have been seeing Cheap Trick consistently since 1982 and saw The Robin Zander Band in April 2013, but this show with Robin Taylor Zander was really wonderful. It was interesting to see the songs that were chosen for the set list and the patter was fairly amusing. While I loved the "shout out" requests (mine, Cheap Trick's "Smile" was performed), I think Robin Zander would have felt more comfortable with a little more structure. Some hard core dopes tend shout above the more civil fans. I would love to see this in Boston.

I was afraid the show might be a Cheap Trick hit list, but instead Zander played songs from his solo albums, obscure Cheap Trick songs, and one or two well-chosen covers. Very enjoyable show by one of my all-time favorite singers.

I will start off by stating that while Cheap Trick is one of my husband's favorite bands, they are not mine, although I've liked some of Robin Zander's solo work I've heard over the years. I bought tickets to this show for an early Christmas gift to my husband. It was a great show! Really enjoyed his presence, his voice was great and the band sounded great. He does a combination of Cheap Trick, his solo stuff, and covers - everything from John Lennon, The Beatles, Cream, Led Zep, & AC/DC. I definitely recommend, it was a lot of fun, and I would go again.

Lots of tunes from Robin's solo record, but mostly classic rock covers. It was great to hear him sing those songs!

As a long-time Cheap Trick fan, I knew I would enjoy the vocals of Robin Zander, however, I was pleased with the work of the other band members. The variety of the setlist was great. Robin Zander solo tunes, such as "Emily" and "Reactionary Girls" along side of rock classics like Lennon's "Mind Games" and AC/DC's "Long Way to the Top (If You Want To Rock 'n' Roll" had me dancing and singing along. The weakest link was the Cheap Trick material, as Rick Nielsen says, "Cheap Trick - accept no substitutes." Yet, to be fair, it is tough to compete with a group that has played for so, so well together. The band did a great job and RWZ rocks.

Very cool show, as a kid on LI we always went to go see bands like Rat Race Choir and Zebra and Cheap Trick......so to have it combined was fabulous.......It's always fun seeing Randy Jackson.....and then to see the guys from RRC and Robin just up there and playing just to have a good time was a real blast........back in the day and even NOW these guys are musicians Musicians.....Mark can still make a guitar scream for mercy, Steve can play what no one else can and do it while singing too ! and Jack is one of the most talented piano/keyboard players out there.......add to that Robin who was in fine form that night and you had one fun filled evening......I was really glad I went

Randy Jackson's acoustic opener was great. Go see him if you have the opportunity. Mark Hitt, Steve Luongo, Larry Hobbs, Jack Hotop and Robin Zander were just excellent. Loved Jack's facial expressions-he looked so happy. Same for Dr. Larry. Great set list. Loved the family side with the kids of Randy and Robin learning the trade. It was such a good show that I went to see them at the Chance in Poughkeepsie last night. Another stellar performance. When they're in town, go see them. They are worth the price of admission. You'll love Mark's sizzling guitar, Jack's keys, Larry's bottom, Robin's vocals and most of all (in my mind) the awesome power of Steve's percussion. What more can I say? That's all folks!
