Of course the bands were great but every time I go to the House of Blues I like it less. I have no complaints about the music, even the opening bands impressed me.

The Wailers were great! They played songs from Exodus so a lot of crowd involvement. I think Julian Marley was who performed with them. We hung out at the upstairs bar at Culture Room which was awesome, but the sound isn't as good up there. Overall, it was a lot of fun and I think the smaller venue made it better.

I showed up right before the main event, and glad I didn't miss any of it. It was a great show. Mandalay beach was the perfect place to have a concert for The Wailers. I only have 1 complaint, the lines to get any alcohol whatsoever were insane. even with the self standing bars near the sand. I think there should be more mini bars spread out. My friend spent 20-25 min waiting in line for a couple of beers, by the time he came back they only played 2 more songs.

No one else does reggae like the Wailers. If you like reggae at all, you must see the Wailers. Aston "Family Man" Barrett is a highly underrated player who must be experienced live. I can think of no one else who gets a deeper fatter bass sound. And he knows exactly how to make the bass live and breathe, pushing the music along with his melodies. The rest of the band is also first rate. The band did a great 45 minute set and then a 1 hour "encore". The dance floor was packed. Lots of beautiful young women everywhere you look. Although they couldn't pack all of Bob Marley's songs into the set, they did an admirable job of selecting the hits and teased with medleys before effortlessly launching into another hit.

The location "Culture Room" is very nice and "cozy", We liked the big screen outside playing the Rolling Stones. What we all did not like (age 18-56 group) was the waiting time. The Wailers did not start before 11pm, the ticket said 8pm, so we knew that there is a "opening act" no problem! Not only was the group terrible and way to loud for this "small" room they took for ever and than there was another 1 hour waiting time, standing cramped in the culture room full of smoke......so we left after 30 min of concert around 11h30 pm because we have to work the next day! So if somebody ask me about the concert I will say: you need a lot of time and a good mood and don't mind a lot of smoke..... and take the next day off!! KJo

Back in 1980 I had the honor of seeing Bob Marley and the Wailers in England, and met Bob and the Wailers after both concerts, it was amazing!! The performance of the Wailers at the Culture Room brought back great memories! The performance by the Wailers was outstanding and the venue was just right, not too big and not too small. Intimate enough to be standing by the stage, while the acoustics were great. I highly recommend the Wailers; they give a first-rate concert, it was irie mon!

I saw the Wailers perform at the Veranda at Family Circle Tennis Center on May 22, 2009. They were amazing. The venue, outdoors, on the bank of the Wando River was a perfect setting. The crowd enegry was great, the positive vibe was papable, The Wailers set selection included everything you could want to hear and the band was tight. The horns brought a lot to the show and the new I-Threes backing vocals were outstanding. It was great to see Family Man still rocking it easy and the front man, Elan Atias, brought his A game with tremendous energy and proper respect given the Bob's legacy. The show lifted my spirits and set me in a positive place, I could not have asked for a better start to the summer in the Low Country. I hope they come back soon.

I have seen the Wailers many times before and enjoyed the night out. This year, the show was the worst! Last year Damien Marley was the front man and it was great. The front man for the Wailers now is just not good and the band plays uninspired behind him. He is was too dramatic and disingenuous. I would be hesitant to go again. The opening acts are always good, so come early.

There is always a good vibe seeing the Wailers. The crowd shows up to have a good time and the band is relaxed and everyone is singing along. That being said, the Wailers changed their vocalist from last year and the new singer is not as good. The man from last year sounded a lot like Bob Marley and made the experience more genuine.

My boyfriend and I don't drink alcohol, so we had sodas and chicken fingers and fries - the food was delicious, but the drink was a little pricey for a fountain soda. Several druken people started hanging around and being loud in front of us when we had gotten there in time to find a decent spot with a table in the General Admission area downstairs. I ended up going upstairs to find a better spot or a possible upgrade, and the manager was most accomodating. He gave us passes into the Loge seating area and the server was wonderful - we such a great time, thank you for an unfforgettable New Year's HOB, see you again soon!! The entire staff from ticket-taker to bartender to security were super friendly and helpful - I always love going there, it's such a special venue!! P.S. - Shame on Downtown Disney for not doing New Year's fireworks!!

Third World brought the crowd to their feet a few times with their hits, and I prefer their older material myself. The highlight of their show was their version of Rastaman Chant with the lead vocal performed by a cello. AMAZING!!!! The Wailers didn't disappoint. They played the Exodus album plus a few hits. Elon (sp) did a great job on lead vocals, really capturing the sound of the original music.

they played all their classics with an artist named elan as the vocalist. he sounds just like marley. it was such an awesome concert. great vibes, everyone skanking. well worth every penny and then some. i would go back tonight just to hear those wailer songs again. i guess since they sold so many $15 grass tickets very few people bought reserved seats, so when the wailers came on, many people, including us, went into reserved section and had a great view of the band right up front. the herbalized atmosphere was a pretty sweet bonus too.

The Wailers played for one hour -- 9:15 PM to 10:15 PM -- then came back on for a little more; that was lame -- truly, there are local reggae bands/other reggae bands just as good, or better -- Wailers seemed to use the "Wailer name" for marketing purposes and rested on thier legend (they did not work hard), and really could have rocked the house with much more passion, energy, and for longer time -- I would not go again to see the Wailers -- or recommend the Wailers -- for $35, plus $6.25 beers, especially when I can go to Boston or Portsmouth/Dover NH and get just as good reggae, with less expense. I never heard of the band, Coldplay -- and I think they were better than the Wailers!! And, yes, I listen to reggae every day, so my feedback should be taken as a good measure of quality -- on the positive note, the venue Casino Ballroom is great for seeing bands, and personal, with an area to dance, insofar you can get close to the band. I have been there many times, and overall, enjoy the place very much.

Lets start this off by saying that on a whim I ended up seeing the Wailers at Hampton Beach last May and have been a reggae fanatic ever since. That was the most fun I had ever had at a concert and the music being played live had a whole new energy and meaning to it. With that being said, there was no way I was going to miss their return to the Ballroom. Show opened with traditional instrumental lead in to play into the arrival of the lead singer. However, there was no Elan. I am not sure who was taking over singing duties on this evening, or if this is a regular occurance. He did a good job, but I think it lacked the passion, enthusiasm, and pure talent that Elan Attias brings to the table at a Wailers show. Anyway, enough about the slightly less than wonderful moments. After a brief clip of Bob's welcome "GREETINGS!" they kicked into "Natural Mystic" and following with an incredible set of Time Magazines most important record of the 20th century "Exodus." I particularly enjoyed the break in the middle of the title track where they went into a section of "Punky Reggae Party" Great! By the time they finished the set, One Love as the closer of course, the crowd was in a frenzy. It might have been the longest, loudest, encore request I have heard in a while. The passion of Bob's tunes had definately "livlied up" the crowd. After a few minutes however, the singer returned alone with an acoustic guitar. This is where things got a little strange. One man, acoustic, encore, must be "Redemption Song" right? Not so. After some technical difficulties, he went into three song acoustic set of either his own tunes or new original Wailers tunes. This really brought the energy level wayyyyy down in there. I am all for hearing new material and acoustic tunes, but not as an encore to an amazing set like "Exodus" is in its entirety. It really just left him up on stage hanging on to some shred of the crowd. Finally they busted back into "Get Up, Stand Up" with introductions and solos (Family Man!!!!!) and closed the show with "Keep on Moving," another great tune, but an odd selection to close the show where you have to believe most of the people there only know "Legend" at best. Great performance, just odd encore selection. Keep Bob's memory alive and go see the Wailers. Family Man will make you "forget your troubles and dance."

This concert was SO fun! The opening band was a great choice of white boys mixing up rock/punk with reggae and they were definitely talented. I was happy to see them showing off how no one needs to fit into some pretty little stereotype! The Wailers played some of our favorites that have stood the test of time from the age of Bob Marley! The crowd was pumped and everyone was dancing around and happy. I wish I could see them every week! I loved how they filled the entire stage from one end with the horns to the other end with the pretty lady backup singers!

Once the Wailers finally got on the stage they rocked. However, their portion of the show was quite short...esp. after being at the venue since 7:30, and the Wailers not starting until closer to midnight. Still, a great show. Next time, we won't leave the house until 10pm.

I went to see them a few months ago at Paradise on Comm Ave. in Boston and they were awesome. I don't know if it was the $4.00 16oz PBR's or the singer they had for that performance but I liked it much better than last nights 8/26/09 show. This lead singer although still very good was not nearly as good as the singer they had at the paradise. If you shut your eyes you thought Bob Marley was singing with the same deep soulful voice he was known for. When I shut my eyes last night I felt like I had landed in Jamaica and it was the airport band greeting you.

The show itself was UN-believable!! However, the encore was as bad as the show was great. The croud was VERY loud and VERY appreciative, but the lead singer came out with an acoustic guitar, and started playing campfire music. It was poppy/country crap that could have been sung by anyone. PLUS, he had no accent - he sounded like a non-Jamacian. After the 3rd song we left - I have no idea if the rest of the band came back, I assume they did, but don't know for sure.

I was surprised that they would start the concert off with a slow song. The crowd was upbeat, lots of noise, and everyone is sitting at the end of the first song. I missed hearing classics like War, Redemption Song, I Shot The Sherrif, and No Woman No Cry. Seemed to be a real shame to miss so many classic songs. The set was not nearly as long as the one they did last time at the Tulalip Casino 2 years ago. The show just seemed to really miss the vibe that I had hoped for.

The Wailers are an amazing band with great talent, however, due to the amount of people crammed in the Culture Room, I left early because I literally could not breathe it was so hot and muggy. The Venus did not let my little sister who is 20 years old even though they told me over the phone that they would be giving out wrist bands out to minors! She had to watch the show from the beach and I felt as though it was incredibly unfair and unreasonable for them to go back on their word for wrist bands and to just suggest her to sit on the beach and listen! I'm a HUGE Bob Marley fan, and I've seen tribute bands, but they all pale in comparison to The Wailers. They played some of Bob's classics to the T. I sang out loud when they sang Kinky Reggae; I cried when they played No Woman No Cry; and I started jumping up n' down when they played Exodus. By the end of the show my voice, and feet, were done. The House of Blues in Anaheim was a great venue. If The Wailers play anywhere near my location I will definitely see them again. And I'm looking forward to going back to the House of Blues in Anaheim.

Still a great reggae band. The I-Threes are down to two, and they swap out between two lead singers- but who cares? All great Marley material played by the best reggae band around. By the third song the entire place was up and dancing- and the entire back of the theater came forward to fill the aisles up by the stage. i was lucky enough to see Marley play a bunch of times. No- the singers don't replace him- nobody can. But this was as close as you can come now to having as good a time as I remember reggae being.

I WAS SO UPSET BECAUSE IT SHOLDVE BEEN MY VERY FIRST CONCERT THAT I HAVE EVER ATTENDED PLUS IT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE A VALENTINES DAY PRESENT TO MY BOYFRIEND. HOPE EVERYONE ELSE LIKE IT, BUT WE DIDNT STAY!!!

Our group ages 57, 30, 24,22 and 20 all loved the concert and the venue is the best! Great show Wailers and keep the drinks coming at those prices Ritz Theater. Good accoustics and plenty of room to dance. Lead-in band was good too! See you next time!

I took my boyfriend who is a die hard Bob Marley fan. He originated from this group and he absolutely loved the show and enjoyed himself tremedously. Though I am not too familair with all of their songs, it was still very entertaining and loads of fun! Great positive and inspirational music!
