Marc Antoine and David Benoit were both great performers, engaged the audience, obviously enjoyed working together - this adds to the audience enjoyment. Aliante is probably the best small auditorium I've ever visited - hope they have a long and storied history of great performances. Last month, Russ Freeman of the Rippingtons commented, "This place has great acoustics!" and it really does. Great experience.

Cannot believe the songs they played, heard almost everything we wanted to, from old to new and everything in between. Could have been a bit longer (approx 1 1/2 hours) , but after watching their hands i can imagine how tired they were.

My wife and I saw another outstanding performance by Dave Benoit on Dec 2, 2012 (10pm) at B.B. Kings in NYC. He played a number of selections by Vince Guaraldi's jazz music from the Charlie Brown Christmas show, along with a good number of hits from Dave's own catalog of amazing classics. Dave is still full of energy and humor to make for a very entertaining evening. Dynamite! The audience was extremely pumped. His band and other guest musicians did an amazing job also. We had a great time that night watching the show. Always look forward to seeing Dave when he swings through the NY area, especially on Long Island. Cheers!

I WAS REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS SHOW AND WHEN IT GOT STARTED IT WAS OVER IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE. I MEAN FOR THE MONEY PAID FOR PARKING AND THE ENTRANCE FEE YOU WOULD THINK 2 HOURS WOULD HAVE BEEN THE MINIMUM TO REALLY GET A CHANCE TO ENJOY HIS PERFORMANCE. I WILL THINK TWICE NEXT TIME BEFORE I COME TO ANOTHER SHOW.

Being an avid smooth jazz and musician as well as record collector,I appreciate musicians who are really themselves on stage. It's no easy feat. David benoit has been performing in excess of 30 years and his professionalism and sound are impeccable. His style and way of playing especially articulated sections help to infuse energy in all of his works. His performance tonight was one in where everyone is a part of the concert. You not only get music, but also commentary, description and background info for those who may not be aware. In addition to playing Vince Guaraldi's music he also played a couple of his own which are many to name but the songs in particular "Freedom At Midnight" and "Beat Street" were played flawlessly and as we musicians call "tight". Real classy, a great performing and a stimulating show . . . for all ages! David Benoit you can't go wrong worth every penny.

Jon Nakamatsu and David Benoit made a great pair. Though I wouldn't say that either artist lacks, together they really brought the show to a new level. Because of logistics, the show seemed a little rushed (and started late).

Very skillful performance from David Benoit, as expected. The other players are good too. Overall it's a standard fusion jazz show, but a short one if you think about the price. Could be better if something excited is planned.

We went to see David Benoit and he gave an amazing show. The bass, drummer and singer was wonderful. It was a perfect show for the holidays. In addition, he had a children's chorus (I think St. Luke's?) that really added the holiday spirit on a few pieces. I would see this show again and make it a annnual holiday must see.

This is my first time seeing David Benoit in concert. It was fine but I don't think I'll be buying tickets to see him again. All songs that were covers sounded like they were being played intentionally fast. His original stuff off his new album was the best part of the show. Unfortunately we were sitting near a speaker at Jazz Alley that was being over-driven and it really distorted the sound. Overall, this was nice but not great.

Charlie Brown and Vince Guaraldi's music were featured and provided a great review of modern Christmas music. But the highlights were the songs involving the choir from the Durham School of the Arts. Those students stole the show, which was no mean feat considering the incredible talents of David Benoit and his trio.

My husband and I have been David Benoit fans since the mid-eighties. We were so excited when we heard he'd be playing in our area! We were equally happy to hear that he'd be playing the soundtrack from "A Charlie Brown Christmas". Well, he not only did that very well, he also played some of his famous tunes that happen to be our personal favorites. He was so personable when chatting with the audience, and interacted with everyone in the lobby afterwards, which was so nice. His bass guitarist and drummer were excellent, as was the gifted singer, Celine. It was a lovely evening!

It's hard not to smile at all the Christmas memories stirred by the songs. David Benoit was engaging and you could see and hear his love of the music. The accompanists, Jamie Tate (drums), David Hughessinger (bass), Selina Albright (vocals), and the Durham School of the Arts Choir all added to the performance and made this a special night.

I was very pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the concert hall and saw the size of it. We sat on the 4th row in the middle and I was a little worried about what the music might sound like so close. Everything was Fantabulous!!!! I would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone. We were able to meet David and Brian. We had a wonderful time.

This show provided an excellent opportunity to see one of the Masters of today's contemporary jazz in David Benofit. I also enjoyed the introduction to Brian Culbertson. The future of the genre' is in good hands. IMO, David Benoit can be considered the Dave Brubek of our time. His songs bring an original sound that surprises and delights the listener. The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall provided a wonderful environment in which to enjoy an intimate show. My only knock, however, was the sound quality of the pianos. I thought the sound was shrill and tinny and not at all representative of the potential the Steinways could provide. All things considered, I would definitely recommend this show - hopefully with better audio set up.

David Benoit and Brian Culbertson played fantastic dueling pianos! I have discovered Brian Culbertson and will be a fan of his. His piano playing is creative and he adds fun to his concerts. David Benoit is a master pianist and with Brian's young creativity, this concert was amazing! The acoustics at the Ponte Vedra Hall were perfect, the seating was great. I have no complaints about this concert. The ushers were friendly and the concert hall provides a full bar service. If you want a big concert arena the Ponte Vedra Concert hall is not it. The hall is a smaller venue which offers an intimate experience with the artists.

Individually these two masters of contemporary jazz would be great to see in person, but getting both of them on stage at once was simply fantastic. I've only seen Benoit once in concert, maybe 25 years ago in Tampa, and had never seen Culbertson. Been following Culbertson's music since the early-90's and have really enjoyed his style of play. David is the wizened veteran performer who just plays his stuff without too much personal flair, but Brian is a a real showman. He lets his energetic personality and enthusiasm for the piano come through during the performance. I thoroughly enjoyed this concert (as did just about everyone in attendance) and I would happily go see them perform again.

They referred to this as their Piano-To-Piano tour because they had two pianos back-to-back. Their song selection was a mix of each of their individual classics but redone for two simultaneous pianists. They were simply fantastic and if you get a chance, definitely see them.

We managed to arrive safely after weathering 3 separate rain storms and a terrible MVA on Interstate 40! the show was worth every intense moment attempting to arrive safely. The selections were awesome and the artists compliment each other so very well. What an awesome and gifted duo they are! "Piano 2 Piano" would certainly be worth attending again. Numerous "bouncing" heads and standing ovations.

I was absolutely blown away by how much fun this concert was. For me, I was expecting a full band and hearing a ton of old Benoit. However, the concert was fun and I got introduced to another incredible piano player. Culberson is so talented, it is totally unfair to us mortals. He plays the piano like his hands were bionic and to go further he plays the trombone better than any pro out there. The fact that he is handsome and funny, as well as personable makes me jealous. Benoit was his usual master self and this was like the 10th time I have seen him. He is awesome. Again, I was expecting the full band with the full songs, but was still happy with the show. If you get the chance to go see this show, you should!

David Benoit and Brian Culbertson were phenomenal the other night. They put on a show that you would remember for a very long time. The chemistry in music between the two artist were amazing and were very entertaining. This is my second time seeing Brian Culbertson in concert as well as a 1st time seeing David Benoit. Both were outstanding. I look forward to seeing them in concert again soon. If you ever have to chance to see these two artist in concert, my recommendation is to take full advantage of the opportunity. You will not be disappointed. As a matter the whole evening exceeded my expectations.
