The sow was kind of different that what I know and saw from the movie which was produced few years ago, but as I was watching the play I was singing along with all the songs and I could say that in general everyone liked it listening to other people sayings about it and just at the break between the acts, few ladies were discussing about how they use to look like back in the 60's. it was really exciting listening to them talk about themselves as the play reminded them of these old days. I also took few pictures of the play and the light effects with the whole acting came out as a good result for these pictures. All the students were amazing in that show and they were really funny, talented and made the whole play look really good. all the best.

I went to go see Hairspray with my grandma because I fell in love with the movie and songs. I also went because I'm a fan of Corbin Blue, Nick Jonas, and John Stamos. The whole cast was great, had there parts dead-on, and had wonderful singing. But I felt like I was the only teenage girl that didn't scream when Nick Jonas or Corbin Bleu said ANYTHING. The show was an amazing experience that I will never forget and I wouldnt mind watching the same show 10 more times! :)

This production of Hairspray was terrific! All the actors were spot on, and the man who played Edna (Tracey's mom) was amazing!!! I took my kids (ages 8 and 10) and they loved it, too! The only issue was the sound had some issues that detracted from the performances at times...

My 11-year-old daughter wanted to see the play "Hairspray" when it was playing at the Civic. We didn't get around to seeing it there, and then I learned that the Forest Hills Summer Stock would be presenting "Hairspray" at the Fine Arts Center. So I bought tickets for my fiance, my daughter, and me. We were captivated only minutes into the presentation, and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute we were there. Everything about the play was amazing--the sets, the costumes, the music, the singing, the acting, the timing, etc. We walked out knowing that we got our money's worth. And the next day I heard my fiance telling some friends about it--his exact words were "They nailed it!"

SCAPA's production of Hairspray was OVERALL spectacular! The 95% of the casting was dead on perfect - so much talent; it's unbelievable! The costumes and sets were set in the right period and high quality. Tons of vibrant colors and patterns - wonderful. The only thing that bothered me was the addition and subtraction of certain scenes or dialogue. Some changes really added to the story, others were unnecessary or (in my opinion) brought the show down. And, during the second act, the actors seemed to lose ALOT of energy. All in all, wonderful, and everyone in the show did a tremendous job :D

The music, orchestral and vocal, was superb. The lighting, sets, dancing, singing, and acting were amazingly professional, way beyond what one would expect from a high school production such as this. This show could have been performed on Broadway. Kudos to the director and all participants.

The production at the Hollywood Bowl was really wonderful. The cast was top notch. The singing was great. It was a great evening at the theatre. The show is great fun and the performances were terrific to watch. Harvey Fierstein was truly Edna...sensitive, warm, funny. We couldn't wait to see what he came up with next! We had a great night at the beautiful Bowl.

Parking was actually easy this time around. Immediately out of the off ramp we found parking which made it easy to walk across the street to the Bowl. The sound was amazingly clear (as usual) and the performers were great! The only bad part was that at certain times the mics went out while some of the actors were singing their numbers. But other than that, I don't have any complaints.

Enjoyed the energy and acting in the show. Characters were accessible and likable. Voices were perfect- singing flowed and was on pitch. Costumes for main character were not as engaging as I would have liked. Set was sparse and could have had more detail and depth. Sound and lighting were perfect.

After missing the show in Hollywood because we got lost and they would not allow anyone in after the start time. I lost out on the cost of the tickets and had a very broken hearted 7 year old granddaughter who was so looking forward to the play; not to mention that it was part of her Christmas gift. So we got tickets to the California Theater production and drove all the way from Ventura county to see the show. We came a day ahead and got a hotel room and made a weekend of it. Wow the performance was so worth the drive. I got to take pictures with my granddaughter and cast members after the show. It was off the charts talent. Her favorite character was Seaweed. We absolutely loved the show, and what a beautiful old theater. I highly recommend the show and the theater.

The Port Huron community performers all seemed to enjoy their time to shine in this production. I enjoyed seeing the enthusiasm a few of the cast showed through their performance. Tracy was the star, and I really enjoyed Penny too. A few actors forgot words more than once, and there were sound problems throughout the performance. Luckily we were close enough to somewhat hear when the headsets would stop working. Unless you have a family member or friend in this production, you would probably want to skip it since this is not a professional production of this tour. Had I know I would not have purchased tickets. The venue was a little run down, cramped seats and it was extremely hot in there.

This was my first musical, and I am glad we picked this one. The food seemed rushed as did drinks and was kind of spotty service due to the waiters being the same people as the cast (not sure if this is typical), but when the show started that was all but forgotten. The show was very well done and the cast was amazing vocally and visually. I enjoyed the closeness of it all, and it cannot be touched by a movie or television. Will definitely be returning to another show! Support performing arts!

This performance by USF college students was entertaining, very professional and a joy to watch. The staging, costumes, vocals were all top notch. I was pleasantly surprised and I will go back again. There was one small glitch with the microphone of the lead but her voice was so strong it wasn't missed.

I had high expectations for this production of "Hairspray" and my expectations were met. The main players as well as the ensemble showed excellence in voice and movement . Main players Raechelle Egan (Tracy Turnblad), Christopher Byrne (as Mr. Pinky), Lennox Williams (Seaweed J. Stubbs), Ryan Bernier (Edna Turnblad), and Briana Moten (as Motormouth Maybelle) were particularly memorable for their performances. The techs cannot be left out here. They were on "spot" with the lighting cues, props, scenes and costumes - excellent. Director Andy J. Frye gets two thumbs up from me.

Every member of the cast did an excellent job of acting, singing, dancing - and possessing awesome energy. I didn't know there were so many USF theater students capable of all three! I didn't expect an intermission that far into the play, but I imagine the cast needed a brief rest. Good costumes, lighting and creative scenery. My only complaint - and I heard this from others who were there, also, was the volume of the accompanying music - way too loud, almost ear-splitting. I would have brought ear plugs had I known. The theater was too small for such volume. Otherwise, a great experience!

It was my first time at toby's baltimore. My girlfriend and i had a wonderful night here! The food was excellent and very friendly staff and cast! Hairspray is one of my favorite musical I watched the musical 5 times, 2 at the other dinner theater and 3 at the broadway. Although it was a small stage compared to the others, it did not bother me getting into the musical and the orchestra was very awesome! Only thing that really distracted me was that the stage left speaker was making lot of noise while the show was ongoing...i dont know my girlfriend was distracted by it but i could not really concentrate the first half. Other than that, we had a good time and my girlfriend was very appreciated. Thank you!

I would never in a million years have dreamed a high school production would be this professional, this talent filled, this inspiring! Having seen the original Hairspray Broadway debut during Previews, I have a special connection to the show and have the bar set pretty high but this show has become my new favorite staging b/c the passion and joy that spilled off that stage is something you simply do not see often among professional productions. These young performers brought talent, charisma, inspiration and boundless energy to the stage and that combination is a perfect storm of entertainment. I had tears in my eyes for half the show, simply marveling at the effort the kids and teachers must have had to bring to the table for this staging to be so successful. Hairspray is known for the speed of its dance numbers and they did not simplify this choreo in any way and the kids delivered. The voices were also equally impressive, as good as I've heard on stage here or on Broadway for that matter. These kids have very bright futures in front of them and I, for one, plan on seeing all of their future musical productions.

What a joy to see the life and love Cobb teens and future professionals gave to this. I am so proud of them and Cobb Schools

This show was amazing! the talent was unbelievable and the dancing brought me right back to the sixties. For 15$ and for a high school show, it is worth it.

Can't believe the cast was just high school students. The talent was truly impressive! My daughter who has seen at least 5 broad way shows found it "uplifting" and loved it! We will definitely check out the next performance of Pebble brook. Great price for the entertainment. The theater was quaint and the stage is as big as a broad way stage. I like the easy access of getting in and out of the Anderson Theater. Big thumbs up on the show. I think that a few of the actors might be on broad way in years to come.

For a high school, this was first rate. Felt bad that I did not take everyone of my family members.
