Performers were great, the sound in the venue was not good for this type of music. Perhaps an acoustic performer, without base and such, would be easier to hear in this venue. Sitting on the side in the balcony made it difficult to see the performers, so if you care about seeing them definitely show up early to get your general admissions seat in the center balcony or lower level. To take a photo, I just pre-zoomed my phone screen and held it way above my head in hopes that it would capture a good shot of Alison Moyet.

First time at this venue and it's one of the best. Very intimate and so gorgeous inside. The acoustics were great and Alison's voice really shined. Some of the number had the music a bit too loud and it overshadowed her voice but the slower tempo numbers is where you could really see what a powerful and incredible voice this lady has and it keeps getting better. I definitely would go to this venue and see her perform again. So cute and sweet, she had stories about why she wrote some of the songs. Felt very intimate and there was much love in the room.

If you do great singing work on your records, you are a great singer. If you sound even better onstage, you a true artist. This goes for Alison Moyet, when I was able to see her perform on Manhattan Center last week. It took me quite a number of years to overcome my fear of flying (I am originally from Austria). But this concert was worth facing my fears ;)! An absolute stunning performance, a great team, and a breathtaking voice!

Ms. Moyet was in wonderful voice for this concert and the sold-out crowd was treated to stellar performance by a relaxed, powerful singer. The crowd responded enthusiastically and gave all the love back to Ms. Moyet that she showered on us. Every time we have seen her, she has been wonderful, but she seem more relaxed and comfortable than ever before. This translated to a great show! (Even better the poster given out by the Fillmore was a classic and something to treasure.) If you have an opportunity to catch this show, don't miss it: one of the best we've seen this year!

This was my 3rd or 4th time seeing her, once as Yaz. Figured that she would stick pretty close to her new stuff since she was promoting a new album and while she did, she also performed a few of her older tunes to everyone's delight. I was expecting to be lukewarm about the new music but it was awesome!! Really blown away by not only the new tunes but by her voice and talent which I had expected would have declined in the 30+ years since I listened to her regularly. It turned out to be a magical evening and I would see her again and again!

One of the best shows I've ever seen. Don't think I've ever seen a performer so happy during a concert.

Very entertaining. Talked with the crowd. Very personal. Still sounds great. Very intimate setting. Cool group of fans too. Most respective fans I've encountered in Mn. Usually fans talk through concert or on their phones

Perfectly enjoyed the concert. She sounded amazing, still has great moves. Brought back many memories. The only thing that was not great was the lack of seating. There was about a dozen seats that were reserved seating and 10 stools up for grabs. Don't miss a chance to see the show if you can!

Maybe the best pop vocal performance I've experienced in 35 years of concert going. Don't miss it.

I have been a fan since her early years, and have followed her career in music ever since. I was so thrilled to have had the chance to see her perform finally, having never been to Minneapolis before. The show was just fantastic! New songs and old and some from in between. I loved it. A couple songs guitar sort of drowned out her voice, but that didn t matter. I still smiled from ear to ear, from beginning till end!

We've never been to Sixth & I, and we didn't know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. It is odd to have a separate line for the box office an bar in the basement and a separate line on the other side of the building for general admission. The Sixth & I is an actual historic synagogue and it is absolutely perfect for a smaller concert. And would be great for an intimate concert taped for MTV Unplugged. The synagogue is beautiful. A bottom and top floor lined with pews. And now for Alyson Moyet....one of my all time favorite artists. Starting with Yaz (or Yazoo in Europe) and then on her own, I have every album and thrilled to finally see her in concert. She did 2 hours and covered most of her classics and a couple songs from her new album. The crowds went crazy and it was a great show. The souvenirs were a bit disappointing...you had a choice of $20 signed CD or a red image of Alison on a white t-shirt for $30. No biggie. I went to the concert to hear her live. The backup singer was an interesting bloke who did a great job. He reminded us Divo, but without the costume. The concert and venue was amazing and we would definitely go again.

Alison Moyet was in fine form, as always. She has a small, devoted following in the US but deserves to be a superstar!

Hands down one of the best shows I've ever seen. Alison's energy was high and she was charismatic and engaging with the audience. Her voice is unforgettable and her band mates were top notch musicians. I wish I could attend more of her fabulous world tour.

One of only three shows in the US for 2013 and it was great! She promised a more electronica-based tour and was accompanied by only two backing musicians who handled syn-drums (weird but effective), guitars, keyboards and more keyboards. Setlist was made up of about a third of the fine new CD \u2018Minutes and the rest were \u2018hits (well, they re hits in the UK anyway). Tiny place, maybe 600 or so and fine sound. This gal doesn t need any backing tapes!

I have been an Alison Moyet fan for 30 years. I had the good fortune of seeing her in Chicago in 2006 when she reunited with Vince Clark. This concert bested that one by far. Alison looked great, seemed absolutely thrilled to be performing, and her vocals and delivery were dead on. I absolutely intend to see her during her next tour.

Great show! Alison looked great, sounded great and put some new spins on old songs. She has minimal props & instruments but mega talent, heartfelt emotion and that magical quality of a great musician. A pure high to watch her perform!

I have waited 30 years to see Alison in Concert, she was worth the wait. The venue, the crowd and most of all Alison made the experience unforgettable. Alison covered her newest release as well as many of her hits from her entire career; putting new spins on classic songs. She interacted well with the audience and the audience was thoroughly enjoying all that she played. Would love to see her the next round. I traveled from Georgia specifically just to see the concert. Worth the effort and expense.

Alison Moyet made a one-night only appearance in New York and one of only three US stops on her current 'the minutes' tour and what a concert it was! What a voice!! The concert was a return to her electronica roots and included several songs from her days in the group Yaz, as well as reworked solo songs from throughout her thirty year career. But the main focus was on songs from her current album 'the minutes' and to say they were incredible would be an understatement. Go buy this amazing record. Alison has never sounded better and hearing her live was a dream come true. She was charming, engaging and full of energy as she belted out 21 songs over the ninety minute show. She has an amazing voice and her songwriting especially on this latest album is something to behold. If you ever get the chance to see this woman in concert, do not miss it!

WOW! She rocked the house! Her performance was amazing. The venue is a little run down. I remember seeing someone here when they renovated in the late 1990s I think and it hasn't improved. But the ticket prices reflect that, so I guess I can't complain.

What a great show. Alison's voice never sounded better. The show had a good mix of old and new songs off her new album. The small venue made it extra special too.

Alison Moyet put on an incredible show! She did some throw back Yaz along with some of her new songs of the CD, the minutes. She was so personable, and she sounded fantastic! She's looking great after having lost all her weight, but her voice is just as stellar! I had a fantastic time!

Alison took center stage @ the Fillmore and took those in attendance on a joyous, polished, powerful journey. Great night, the crowd was into the event as was Alison, she chatted with the faithful several times and was having fun. I for one was really happy to have seen and experienced her stage presence, her voice is as fresh and strong as it was 30 years ago. I wasn't sure what to expect but I came away from the show smiling from ear to ear.

Not much to say in regard to the concert since she canceled (not sure why). Alison is one of the most incredible singers of all time. It's a crying shame that we in America are too limited in our thinking to see this beauty for who she is. Guess I'll have to go to England to finally make my dream come true (litterallly) to see her. Sorry, Alfie.....
