Les Nubians

If I didn't own all of their albums... I will now! They were so personable. Made the intimate venue of the Birchmere even more intimate!

This show was an amazing, soul-stirring experience. Everything from their outfits, to the way they dance, to the way they harmonized their beautiful voices was fantastic. I will definitely see Les Nubians every time they come to the DC Metro area!!!!

Les Nubians had no great stage, no attractive costumes, voices were standard, they may sing in English and drop in some lines in Portuguese, or French or viceversa. However, once you listen to the second song (expecting to be better than the first) then the rest are all the same. To make it worse, in the middle of the program one of the members starts preaching a confusing message. After such a blah blah message we left after the following song.

Les Nubians is a fantastic duo! I have been a fan of their music for quite sometime. This was my FIRST time seeing them live, as well as my FIRST time at this venue. Their show was filled with energy, yet humility. The educated. They performed. They danced. They showed extreme love. I will definitely see them again. And the ticket price was VERY affordable! The venue allowed for a really intimate experience. It was open and comfortable. The food and drinks were a little expensive though. I would definitely return here for future shows. I was elated to meet them after the show, take pictures, and they signed my CD!

Les Nubians concert was great, live and fun. The girls still have it.The show was full of romance, dancing and great band music.

What an amazing show. The music sounded so pleasing to the ears. Everyone was dancing and enjoying themselves. Even though I do not speak French, I understood the message and was able to vibe to the music. I recommend to everyone who has not yet seen Les Nubians, GO see THEM!!!! They have wonderful stage performance, and their voice is so healing to the soul.

Great musicians, great singers and to much energy!

Great Show! The sound was great and well equalized. The setting was intimate and the event was well organized.

Seeing Les Nubians was pure magic. The performed a bunch of songs off the new album and a medley of songs that I loved from years ago. The energy was so high and the sisters gave quite the show dancing to the music. I very hightly recommend seeing them live. Also I haven't been able to stop listing to the Nu Revolution since I copped it at the show. Brilliant.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Les Nubians show. I have been a fan for years and this was my first time seeing them live. They are great performers and had the crowd involved throughout their show.

It was an honor to have such a class act in Alexandria. Les Nubians have voices of gold and exude such character and charm. Their musical style is original and I love the way they mix French and English. Magnifique, mes chers Nubians!

Les Nubians gave a great show. My wife and I totally enjoyed the show and we would continue to support them when they come to the DMV.

My husband and I attend the concert as a belated Father's Day gift. I have a couple of their CDs, but my husband had only minimal experience of their music . Needless to say, he is now a fan as "He enjoyed the show much more than he expected". Those were his words. My only critique was that it appeared the sisters were holding back a little as it's quite obvious they are rather spunky so I was anticipating them wildin out a bit more.

Les Nubians are always fabulous, but the Birchmere was not the place for them. Food/drinks were ridiculously expensive and awful, and they used a sit-down restaurant room instead of the larger open space available for dancing (probably in order to make more money on food/drink sales)... I love Les Nubians but do not recommend the Birchmere.

From the moment they took the stage these sisters were spellbindinding! Their songs spoke of passion, hope and love all of which this world would benefit having more of. They met and/exceeded all expectations and I wait to buy their album next year!! Oba2000

The ladies were absolutely awesome. Their energy level was contagious. Great stage presence, beautiful outfits, gorgeous ladies. They are now on my short list of entertainers that I will go see whenever they are in town. Didn't want to see them get off the stage and kudos to the band....bravo, bravo. Four and a half stars!!!

This show was totally awesome. I really enjoyed these ladies. I have been trying to see them for awhile and finally got the chance. Well worth the wait. I have two CDs and am looking forward to the next one. The fusion of flavor that is in their work is truly worth listening to.

This was my 3rd time seeing The Nubians and they never dissapoint. They are wonderful, positive, talented ladies! It would be great if they were in the DMV area more often.

This concert was worthwile and unforgettable! They have such talent, passion for their sisterhood, and love of their culture. The Birchmere is a great venue, nice and intimate. The perfect location for the perfect concert!
