This was an amazing show in an intimate setting at the Gala Showroom at Cactus Pete's Resort and Casino. What a powerful voice. She sang all her familiar songs plus a lot more. I would go see her again!

Jo Dee put on a very unique and funny show here in Iowa. I loved the fact that she was close and personal with her fans. We were able to ask questions and request songs. Her voice was amazing and she had a tough night with having a cold and cough and you would have never realized it until you seen her cough. Her voice was as strong as it ever has been. She has such a fun personality and knows how to interact with the crowd.

I am from KC and used to big arena's, so when we wnt to this small intimate concert where she told stories and jokes and took requests it was different but I enjoyed it and thought it was really sweet. Plus the price was very fair.

Very nicely done concert. Different as she was very open and did quite a bit of talking, a meet and greet type concert. Even with a cold she was able to hit all the notes. She was a great sport as she was taking song request from the crowd and some of the songs were not hers and she sounded wonderful. Awaiting for her next CD. Hey idiot record label, please publish it.

Jo Dee wanted a more intimate environment to relate with her fans, she accomplished it. It was an accoustic show full of songs, stories, and laughter. I would recommend for any fan of country music. Jo Dee is a tremendous talent.

JoDee was FLIPPING AWESOME!!! She started with a couple of songs, then took the mike and talked with us. She allowed any and all questions and also took song requests! She treated the audience like close friends, very warm and welcoming!! You felt like you were right up on stage singing with her. AMAZING!!! JUST AMAZING!!!!

I was not a big fan of Jo Dee Messina before I went to the show but I was a huge fan when I left the show. She was so good with the fans. She wanted to know what we wanted from her. Plus her new song is fantastic. The music from the band was great but not overbearing. We could hear her beautiful voice and appreciate her songs. Thank you for coming to Lancaster.

First time to House of Blues, and anywhere in the house you are not more than 40 feet from the performer, who in this case, is one of the most amazing acoustic performers. Great stage presence, fabulous voice.......we were the ones singing along to every song :-)

I was pretty disappointed with the show. Too much talking and not enough singing. Too much audience participation. I want to hear music, not what other people have to say. Jo Dee didn't even do one of the songs I went to see her sing, which is 'Someone Else's Life'. Also, what happened to her music? Did she switch over to more Christian oriented songs? I wasn't picking up what she was laying down. Her best song, according to me, is 'My Give A Damn's Busted'. The entire audience, besides me and my best friend, were completely flat lined. It was as if someone had called a code blue on the entire place. Seriously? At least we danced to it!!! I didn't understand it at all,!!! With that said, she got a standing ovation for a song about God from her new, yet to be released album. So...perhaps that says something about the crowd that was there. I guess it goes without saying, I won't be buying her new album. Was sorely disappointed!!!

I was not a big follower of Jo Dee and to tell you the truth we (my husband and I) decided to go see her because it was something different than going to a movie. But after seeing her, I went on ITunes and put most of her songs on my iPod. I had a few already. I liked her uniqueness with the show and talking with the fans and taking requests. I thought it was great of her to allow one of the contest winners to sing on stage. I would definetly go see her again when she is in South Florida. The venue she played at was also nice because it is small and it just makes the concert better

Great venue - small, intimate - perfect for her interactive show. LOVED the songs....everyone was singing the favorites. The new ones were great as well - can't wait for the new album, and the new single "That's God". Loved getting to know a bit about the singer and her band - great musicians, by the way. Very entertaining.

Jo Dee put on an amazing show and raised a lot of money for the charity. She sounded great and my daughter and I had a wonderful time. We were slightly disappointed that the crowd was very subdued instead of really into the show as we were. Jo Dee wasn't the reason--she rocked! Maybe the crowd was slightly older or not familiar with her music. All in all, great show and would go again!

Jo Dee's new album "Me" is my current favorite album to listen to. So many great songs, but I really identify with song "Me", which she did at her show. Brought tears to my eyes. She did her old hits as well as this new album. This is the second time I have seen her in concert. So glad she is making music again. I missed her.

Absolutely everything about this artist is 100% REAL. It is refreshing to spend an evening with someone who is so genuine and passionate about what she does. As a fan, she will truly make you feel valued as she conveys her gratitude for your support. Aside from it being a feel good experience, she is truly talented - not only as a vocalist but as a songwriter as well. Her voice is incredible and her shows are not to be missed.

Great mix of new and old music! Add Jo Dee's exuberant personality, and you have a terrific concert. The sound was well balanced with Jo Dee's voice loud and clear. I think this woman is one of the very best in country music.

it was a nice show. she was very personable and down to earth. she sang for approxiametly two hours without a break. i was truly impressed. the merchandise selection could of been greater but overall a great experience. i would recommend this venue an artist to my other country music friends.

Jo Dee put on an outstanding, energetic show. She bonds well with the crowd with her heartfelt stories in between the songs. She makes everyone feel comfortable and part of the show. She performed most of the hits that everyone wanted to hear and was in excellent form. She also showed off skills on the piano and drums that we didn't know about before! All in all, an excellent show. She is an underrated performer. Also, it was great that the ticket prices were low enough to permit us to sit in the 8th row from the stage, which we have never been able to do before! We recommend her highly!

I have been following Jo Dee Messina's career for about 20 years, and she is still so talented and captivating in concert. Her sound was crystal clear and her voice as powerful as ever. I live her messages and stories that she shares in between songs. I can only hope that radio recognizes her true talent and assists her with making a huge comeback. Some with her talent for performing and songwriting truly deserves it. The only disappointment was that security was reprimand in fans for taking photos.....not quite sure why cameras were prohibited. Perhaps it is a Taj rule.

This was my second time to this venue, and I enjoyed it much more with a seating plan than as a general admission venue. Jo Dee wowed me with her new songs and by the cornucopia of classic Jo Dee songs that she performed. But what makes Jo Dee one of the great and underrated entertainers, is how much time she spends sharing anecdotes and stopping during the show to sign autographs and take photos with a fan. Jo Dee and I are from the same area in Massachusetts and it's always a treat to see her. I am new to Ohio, so seeing her here this summer was especially fun, as I feel it's a different show when she's playing in New England for many more family and friends. Not in a bad way, just different. What would have made this a 5-star show? While Jo Dee gives gratitude to her band for standing by her during the tough times, I wish she had taken the time to introduce them.

Jo Dee can belt out a song like nobody's business. I've wanted to see her for a long time and can't believe I finally saw her and she was worth the wait. The new songs are great! Interspersing songs all the way back to her 1996 debut album, to her latest album, Me, which was fan funded by a Kickstarter campaign, Messina had her audience singing, dancing, laughing, and crying for well over an hour and a half. Between songs, Jo Dee engaged her obviously enamored fans with the stories behind much of the new material, as well as sharing accounts of a year filled with deeply personal family issues. And through it all, she smiled and laughed with her fans and at herself, except for the tears shed because of the love showered upon her by her friends. And listening to Jo Dee's music and stories that night, I believe that all of us in the audience hoped that we were included in that category. After the music ended, Jo Dee stayed for I don't know how long, running back and forth across the stage, autographing anything anyone held out to her, including this old cowboy's hat. If there was a disappointing aspect to the evening, it was that the house was not packed to capacity for this fabulous entertainer, because she certainly deserved it.

We saw Jo Dee Messina at the Hard Rock Rocksino in Northfield, Ohio. The venue was great -- actually quite quaint and there really are no bad seats in the place. Jo Dee sounded fabulous -- her voice was as good as ever and her stories were wonderful. Her songs are very autobiographical and it is great to hear her new album that is full of kids and love and a husband as opposed to her earlier hits with lost love, wrong love and the life of hard knocks. We had not bought her new CD yet, but did so after the concert. We would definitely go back to see her again. My husband was the big Jo Dee fan and this concert won me over!

I haven't see her in 8 years....she was worth the wait! Her voice was amazing as was her band. She's had a rough few years and an amazing few years. She ended the show with a Jouney song--Don't Stop Believing!! Totally awesome! She signed autographs (and took pics) after the show for 30 minutes...now that's a star in my book! Highly recommend her concerts.

The concert was one of the best I have ever been to. Jo Dee Messina and her band was just no the only reason for an awesome concert, but the venue was also a plus. I love table and chair style concerts over the heavy crowds standing and jumping in front of your line of site. Turning Stone Casino would be foolish not to invite her back next year. I certainly would attend with my fiance again.

The concert for the most part was very good,but we especially loved JoDee Messina and Bucky Covington.They both had so much energy and sounded GREAT! I am a huge John Michael Montgomery fan and loved hearing all the ballads...was apparent he had some voice issues going on,but he definately gave a great show all in all.Jack Ingram started slow but rocked it in the end.Overall very good show!

The singers were absolutly amazing! The only downside for this event was the fact that it took quite a long time in between singers. During those periods of setup they also played music not meant for a country concert which is equivalent to jazz played at a heavy metal concert. Though it was slow for setup the singers were amazing, I wish they would have done a duet though :(

I did not expect the concert to be so personal, when the curtins opend up and JoDee started to sing and after the song she said I like people to ask questions it was amazing it was like hanging out in her living room and just sitting and chatting with her and then her singing to you . If you get a chance you have to see it .

I had always admired Jo Dee Messina and had planned to see her last year before a job move. When the opportunity presented itself, I bought tickets for the event when I moved to Nashville. Wouldn't you know it...got transferred to Memphis, but still made the concert. The staff was friendly and made me feel very welcomed. The warm up band was extra ordinary...I usually do not like Christian music, but they were very good. Then Jo Dee Messina came on and dominated the entire theatre. Very personable....she made fun of herself. The concert was to last only an hour or so, but once she started we were there for two and a half hours. She sang all her hits, had lots of audience participation, especially when she sang a song like the Tennessee state song "Rocky Top." I would love to see her next performance.

This was an enjoyable show I like the smaller venue so every seat is pretty neat the stage. She did s great show. Talked a little too much at one point about the bible ... But that's ok it's her passion.

Jo Dee was amazing live. She has the voice of an angel and I would listen to anything she sang. She also made me cry multiple times not only when she sang but also when she was telling her stories.

Jo Dee Messina is one talented individual who sang her heart out at this show. She sang many hits and mixed in some beautiful gospel music. So, many special moments that were unique to this show. The acoustics in the Carolina theater are fantastic and since it is a quaint setting, the seats are great! Unfortunately, since the show was rescheduled from July to October, the theater was barely half full. This event should have been better advertised for the October date and at the very least have sold empty seats through Groupon at the last minute to let people know about it. My only complaint is that alot of people missed out on Jo Dee's wonderful performance. She was even gracious enough to come out and sign autographs at the end. Lovely, kind person!

Wonderful show, well worth the trip from LA. She has not lost touch with her audiance and still shows she has fun with performing. Having the chance to meet her after the show to sign autographs was an extra special bonus. We also enjoyed her co-performers for the night, Jessica Lynn and Nikki Sparks and her special guest performer Terry Nunn from the group Berlin. We will not want to miss any future shows.

We had not seen JoDee for several years. I think before she started her family. She was great then, and she is still a POWER HOUSE of a performer today. Her band is as steady as ever. Though this last show was not as long nor as flashy as the previous shows we had enjoyed, JoDee was great performing some of her new songs as well as her number #1 hits from her previous albums.

JoDee put on another outstanding show filled with her amazing music along with some humor and inspiration. I could have listened to her sing all night. This was our first visit to The Cave and we will certainly be back. It is a fun venue with great sound in a beautiful setting.

was a great concert by both of these talented performers. just wish the seats would have been better.... there were bars and wires to keep people from falling over that really blocked the view of the stage where our seats were, I wish they would have told us that it was an obstructed view before purchasing these seats....very unhappy about this

Mark Chestnutt was a little hard to hear at times because the band seemed very loud, but he had a FANTASTIC band and very talented. Overall great, but not a lot of interaction with the crowd. Sounded great live. Jo Dee Messina was very interactive with the crowd. Her voice was perfect, clear, easy to hear and sounds like it does on a CD. The real deal.Super sweet and great artist!

I took two friends with me to the concert. One wasn't even a Jo Dee fan, but she is now! Loved her voice and all the old songs but her new songs were surprisingly good! If they don't both go top 10 I'll be shocked! This woman is primed for a comeback!!!!!

I was so impressed with Jo Dee, I saw her years ago when she was banging out one hit after another and she was amazing then; I can happily say that she still puts on an amazing show. Her voice is crisp and flawless, she sings all the songs you would expect her to AND the new stuff is really good too! You really feel like she likes her audience as she shares stories and really connects. Bottom line - if you've got a chance to see her, do it!

I have loved Jo Dee Messina since I really started getting into country in my 20's. Her and I are close to the same age and I have loved watching her evolution as a person as well as an artist. Her work is so authentic and real, I just LOVE HER and this girl has PIPES... she still sounds so amazing even after all these years of great hits she has put out!!! This is a concert NOT TO MISS!!!

Always liked her music but never had the chance to see her in concert. I am always concerned if the artist is going to sound like they do on record. Jo Dee did not disappoint. You would have thought she was singing on the radio. Beautiful voice!

The venue was very nice. The show was also very good but a bit short. Maybe an hour. She has a great voice and well written songs. However, the best part was that Jo Dee took the time to come out and sign her autograph and allow pictures with fans. Being on the road and still taking the time to do this for fans is amazing and very much appreciated. On stage she spoke of the story behind some of her songs. That is information that brings the fan closer to her and her music. Nice touch, Jo Dee! She energy on the stage was terrific from beginning to end. I look forward to seeing her on stage again!

A powerhouse singer with a string of hits a mile long. I have seen her many times over the years. So on a ten point scale: Venue 7 (Stairs involed for concessions and Rest Room), Voice 8 because I have heard her do better, set list 5 (she covered a lot of song and did not play her biggest songs, and acted like most people had no idea who she was) I realize that when playing with the Macon Pops that she could not take requests, But Jo Dee not singing Heads Carolina, Tails Califonia is like Straight not playing The Cowboy Rides Away. Dang Jo-- what's up?
