We were able to get autographs and pics with Jack when we first walked in, and were able to talk to him for a few minutes. We sat in the front row, and had a great view of the stage and all the animals that were brought out. It was very educational and entertaining.

He is great! He is very comfortable and very nice on stage. The animals are great and it is a great show for children to learn about animals that are from other countries or that are hard to see in the wild.

Yes the proceeds went to benefit our local zoo and that's the only reason I would attend again. There were tons of children too young to pay attention yet alone keep quiet. We missed half of what Jack Hanna spoke about. He showed more clips of animals than he did live animals.

We took our 2 1/2 year old and the show has good content but it is not for children. Most children in the audience under ten looked very bored. This is an educational show which features speeches, video and few animals such as ferrets, turtles, snakes and rare birds.

This was a really enjoyable and informative event, with just the right mix of videos, commentary by Jack Hanna, and interaction with live animals. It was a very entertaining way for Mr. Hanna to promote his causes of conservation and preservation, raise money for the El Paso zoo, and provide a fun evening for everyone. An unexpected plus was his being available in the lobby before the show for pictures and signing autographs. Jack Hanna's personality is perfect for this type of event.

It was great! Wish the show had been longer. A lot of interesting facts were presented. His enthusiasm is infectious.

Jack Hanna mixed learning about animals with his great sense of humor, and in between showed videos of trips they have taken and animals they've met along the way. Before the show ended, he acknowledged his staff - lots of work and late nights to take his show on the road. Oh, and I must add that Jungle Jack is quite handsome!

Hanna is a walking encyclopedia regarding animals around the world. His enthusiasm and passion is transparent. My daughter and her two friends (10 years olds) enjoyed watching the animals and laughed during the movie clips. Some of his dialogue may have been a bit above them, but overall a good show. I was impressed that Hanna stayed after the show to sign autographs and to connect with each person he met with--that was special and spoke to his character.

The show was interesting, a lot like his TV programs. I would have liked greater visibility to the animals on the stage, and there was a mid-stage view screen, but it was not that easy to see from the balcony. The best part is that he did a before-show and after-show meet-and-greet where he signed autographs and took pictures. My little daughter was star-struck and inspired!

This two hour entertaining, educational & eclectic show was better than I anticipated. Mr. Hanna brings a great mix of video and live interaction with a variety of fascinating animals. I'm certain the children in attendance ate it up. Plus, Mr. Hanna willingly signed autographs and posed for photos before and after the show.

Jack is just "Jack". No pretense, no canned script. He is as natural as the wonderful animals that he brings to the show. All the animals were interesting and many were quirky funny. The Cheetah was the most beautiful animal that we have ever seen. A great show for families or empty-nesters like us that just love animals. The Carolina Theater is a great Durham treasure, too.

My son loves everything animals and was able to identify each animal that was brought out. He was able to enjoy and understand the videos that were presented as well. Some younger children at the show were not as engaged. When my son came home, he said the show was "super awesome!"

The show was wonderful, Jack was very entertaining and the animals were beautiful.....but the screaming children surrounding the theater were a big distraction. While the show was fine for 5, 6 yr olds and up....bringing a one or two yr old to this show was rude and irresponsible. To let your child continue to scream without removing them from the theater or to parade them back and forth in front of the stage for all to see........unbelievable. That aside....enjoyed the show very much!

This was not the first time I've seen Jack Hanna in Huntsville. I love to watch him on TV. He has a wonderful personality. This time however, I was pretty disappointed in the show. There were too many videos and not enough animals. Also, I had seen some of the videos before. The show did not keep my grandchildren's attention (6 and 4). I guess I won't go back to another show.

Jack Hanna is a genuine person who is truly committed to the preservation of animals and their dwindling habitats; he is also obviously committed to educating and inspiring people. This show is appropriate for anyone who enjoys and/or who wants to learn more about animals.

My son and I had a great time at the Jack Hanna's animal show Sunday. My daughter went the next day with her school and also loved the show. It's probably the best show they've been to - very educational!

The Jack Hanna show at the VBC was educational as well as very entertaining. He was very intriguing with his insights and experiences. All of the details were done well too, the lighting, sound and visual was pleasant even in the balcony section.

I love what Jack stands for & all he's done for wildlife. I didn't like watching the slide shows, kinda boring or some I have already seen on TV. The show just wasn't what I was expecting. I was thinking it would have been a little more interactive.

What a great show to have a House of Blues! The animals were great and Jack was such a nice man! It was so awesome to meet him although I'm sad he ran out of his books quickly on the first show - what a treat to shake his hand!

We took a 6 year old and 4 1/2 year old to the show in NJ - we were all looking forward to it. It was very disappointing. Jack Hanna lost the kids, spoke way too much, lost the kids with all the talk and subject matter. Most of the kids were board. He did nothing with the animals. He played some movies, and it focused mostly about himself. He spoke about subject matters that were inappropriate for children. It was boring and not worth the money. Maybe adults would like it.

Jack gave us such a good show. It was very educational, funny and entertaining. He had a nice transition from video clips to showing animals and our entire family were thoroughly satisfied. God bless Jack for what he does for the animal community and for sharing all of his experiences with us.

Mr. Hanna is an amazing person who is so generous with his information and his time. I've never been to an event where the main performer sat by the ticket takers to sign pictures before the performance. He has a love of animals and the environment that he is passing to young and old. My granddaughter and I had a great time.

My parents took my 8 year old daughter to see this show with much anticipation and excitement. I was informed by them that was not child geared and Mr. Hanna didn't even handle any oif the animals but just stood on the side the whole time.

the show was excellent and mr hanna is the best, we watched him the next day on david letterman and good morning america. the only suggestion i would make is that they face the animal a bit more toward the side opposite the camera. we were on the opposite side and the animal helpers kept turning them away from us to turn them toward the camera. also maybe the age should be over 5, some toddlers cannot be quiet. or maybe their should be a certain section reserved for thosse with toddlers. in summary it was an excellet show and jack is the best

He is extremely personable and friendly. He took pics with anyone who walked up while he was signing cards. His stories were great and he makes you feel as though you know his family. I loved all of the baby animals. He loves what he does.

For adults the show was fine, although not a 5 star event considering the tickt price. But I brought 4 children ages 2 - 9 as did many others in the theatre and it was just to boring for them. To much talking, too much video, and poor quality camera shots of the animals themselves. The theatre was full of restless children, alot of them crying and I did see many people walk out.

It was a really good show, thought they might have more animals though. Jack Hanna is very charismatic and entertains very well. The only other thing is that for a kid themed show it is probably better to start a little before 7:30 pm.

I have always loved animals so when the show with Jack Hanna came up, I jumped on board. I bought two tickets and hadn't even asked anyone to go. I went with a good friend and she also loved it. The film clips were amazing and heartwarming. Of course, seeing the endangered or unusual animals met my expectations. I would recommend this to anyone over seven.

Jack Hanna is a little fuzzy on dates and times when different things happened in his career, but the show was very entertaining. More than I thought. As a benefit for the El Paso Zoological Society, Hanna plays some video highlights of his career/life interacting with animals. Between videos, Jack and his crew bring out a number of animals that he discusses. A camera on stage rebroadcasts the images to the big screen so you don't have to be up close to see the animals. He talks, and plays videos for about an hour an a half. He has a few political moments, but all in all it was a pretty entertaining shows. Even the little kids in the audience (which there were many) kept their attention on the guy.
