First time seeing mxpx perform and they were amazing. I would go back to see them when they come back to the nyc area. Stacked show with Allister and Zebrahead

It's a smaller venue which I love! Up close and personal. Met some of the band members. They were all very nice. The crowd was upbeat and rocking out. Great Night!

Amazing show. Avalanche and MxPx killed it. I've seen MxPx a dozen times and this could be the best of the bunch. Thanks guys for 20 rad years.

When I saw ads for the two MxPx anniversary shows here in SoCal, I was intrigued but didn't buy tickets right away. I've bought a few of their albums but haven't really followed them in years. Ultimately, though, I decided to buy tickets for their show in L.A., which is a two-hour drive from my home. I'm so glad I did. This was a really good show - all of the guys were in great spirits and seemed very happy to be there. They also sounded tight. There were lots of cool moments, from Benji Madden playing a song with them, to Mike doing several songs with an acoustic guitar. My only regret about this show was not spending the extra $30 for a meet-and-greet, since that would have been cool (especially since I learned that the original lineup rarely plays live together anymore).

Great show, I can't believe Rufio was the FIRST band. I missed them and I'm not happy. My fault for not taking into account Sunset Blvd traffic.

Even after 20 years later, these guys never skip a beat! They're such outstanding guys that never let the industry change them. Even made a fan out of someone I brought along who didn't listen to them back in the day.

I am thrilled to have been able to be a part of history and see the Yuri retirement show! It was most epic. I haven't seen MxPx live in almost 10 years and it was a great show to come back to them with. Although, I wish they would have picked a different venue. I understand why they chose this one. It's small, makes for a more intimate show, etc. But security there is nuts. You are not allowed to job, mosh, or move. If you manage to bump someone else and they see you, they remove you. Within 20 minutes of the show starting, at least 15 people were drug out by the Fun Police. What's a punk show with no pit?

This was my 6th MXPX show I've attended and have never been disappointed. The show was 21+ and in a small 150 capacity or so club. Amazing venue for the "intimate show vibe". The security is too strict however. The show kicked off at 10:30pm with "Sprocket". The sound engineer did a bad job until their last song when he finally got the levels set. 11:30 MXPX took the stage for Yuri's retirement show. It was great hearing their CD "Life in General" played all the way through. During "Chick Magnet" Tom took over on drums and Yuri came out and did a little dance. During the encore they played about 1 song from each of their other albums. MXPX played for 1hr 45min. It's sad to see Yuri leave the band and the band announcing they won't be touring much anymore. 18 years and around 2.5 million albums sold. Thanks for the amazing music over the years!

There are only a few chances in a band's career if they're lucky to have survived for 18 years, that they'll get the chance and following to be able to play an entire album in one show. This was one of those moments, and I was there to be able to make history with a band that has been with me for the better half of my life. Given this was a retirement party for Yuri Ruley, the drummer, they showed no signs of slowing down to let him retire. Life In General was one of my favorite albums and they rocked through every song, playing some live for the first time and ending the show with a handful of songs from every album.

i thought this 'life in general' show went really well.. MxPx played all songs off that album (my fave of theirs) perfectly!_+ and then they did a 5 song encore.. 300 person venue, full and packed with everyone singing along.. the club sound was pretty good, great fun pop-punk stage presence from the guys, and a legendary event, being their drummer Yuri's last show with the band.. i had to see it, and they really came through in every way.. the stage/security guys were definitely assholes and were kicking out anyone who moved/slight-moshed, which bugged me, cuz i wanted to feel like a kid again and mosh for this show.. other than that!_ music was played really well by Tom, Mike, and Yuri, and they hung around and met all their fans for hours after the show by the merch area.. THAT's a good band!+ -- this event ROCKED.. i'll never forget it
