I came to NY for this live of B'z from Tokyo!! It was soooooooo amazing and fantastic live!!!!! I had grown increasingly fond of them. B'z is a top artist in Japan, we can't see them up close. But I could see them up so close in NY, I couldn't believe it!!!!! They always give us many surprise. I will be always a big fan of B'z!!!!!

B'z was amazing in their recent performance at Club Nokia. The show was part of their LIVE-GYM 2011 -long time no see- North American tour that stopped in Vancouver, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Getting in the venue was a pain because of the long security lines created by the no-cameras rule (they searched everyone). Once inside though, the venue turned out to be small enough to provide an excellent view from everywhere. They played a lot of their classics but they didn't focus on just their greatest hits, so the show had a good variety, with a lot of the songs showcasing Tak's amazing guitar solos. They sang a lot of the first few songs in English, which was a surprise to most. They sang about 12 songs and left us all wanting more, but for $70, it was a great value.

I've been a fan of B'z for many years, and unfortunately missed two chances to see them live in previous years. So when I heard that they were coming to the US again this year, I was ecstatic. I first saw them at The Warfield in San Francisco, and they just blew me away. Inaba's voice, energy, and charisma were amazing! I've never been to a concert where the vocalist was so on the entire night. And hearing Tak's guitar in real life was... well, I'm at a loss of words to describe it right now. He's not a showy/expressive performer (compared to other guitarists), but he doesn't need to be, because he lets the music speak for itself. As luck would have it, I later found out that I would be in New York during the weekend B'z was scheduled to play there. I really wanted to go to the show, but tickets were sold out! Thankfully, they became available again on Ticketmaster two days before the show, so I was able to go. They played the same setlist and even wore the same/similar clothes, but the second time around was even better than the first! As a small criticism, I agree with other reviewers who wish they would sing more songs in Japanese rather than English. Inaba's English is great, and I like the English renditions of their songs. But as a fan who had never seen them live before, I still would've preferred to hear those songs in Japanese. Overall though, these were two of the best concerts I've ever been to, and they showed clearly why B'z is the most successful band in Japanese history. I've seen several other top Japanese bands live as well, and even though they were also great, B'z was just on another level with the finesse of their performance. I really hope they come back to the US again in the near future!!

I wish they opened the door at 5:30pm in stead of 6pm that we had to be in a line for over 1 hour to get in.. Also, the tickets didn't say it was all-standing style, so we thought we would be seated (but it was ok..) Overall experience was amazing, and I hope they will come back again in near future, not waiting for another 8 years ^^; It was a memorable performance.

First time to see and hear this Japanese band in concert and didn't realize how popular they are in Japan (I You Tubed their concerts in Japan afterwards and felt pretty lucky to see them in a smaller venue like Club Nokia) They have been around for a long time but still look good and can rock with the best of them. For a band as popular as they are, they seem pretty humble. Really enjoyed the energy from the crowd which were almost all Japanese.

I loved everything about the show. I have seen them before but this one was a whole lot more intimate and real. The previous one I went was at a stadium and I was only just a few rows from the very back, it means that I never actually got to see the performers. inaba's voice was as powerful as ever and tak's guitar was great. They mainly did the very popular ones, probably because the last time they were in the north america was 8 year's ago and they wanted to cover the ones that they had often played in japan. And it was nicer they did Banzai again ! One thing that was a bit disappointing to me was that they did not play long time no see. Since it was the tour title I was sure they would....oh well. They also did not play dont wanna lie. I love this new single but again, it's for next time. I can not stress enough how intimate the whole experience was. B'z looked like having a lot of fun with us, too. If this kind of show was planned in japan, it would be a premium and getting a ticket would be impossible. As for the fillmore itself, I thought it was nice...but honestly, I was so excited to see them so up close that I was not really thinking about the venue or the sound quality. Please come back again, B'z!

It was so unbelievable to be able to see B'z so up close for--30 bucks! What a bargain! And they were awesome! It was a very intimate concert. No stage props, no big production, no background dancers, just great musicians playing their awesome music. Even my two friends who didn't understand Japanese enjoyed the concert. I hope to see them back in LA soon!!!

I've seen B'z shows in SF, Seattle, and LA, all were amazing, their performance were always incredibly high level, i could tell they have practiced so hard to entertain the audience. The hall in LA last night was much bigger than in SF and Seattle, and almost filled with audience. I guess 80% of them came from Japan because the waiting line for the funs in "B'z US Tour Package" was ridiculously long, but the line from US local wasn't. I mean it was little too big for me. I could see even Inaba's wrinkle from 15ft distance away in SF and Seattle, but it couldnt last night. And one more thing I want to say to B'z, PLEASE STOP SINGING IN ENGLISH!!! Inaba's English is okay, but imagine, could you feel happy if BON JOVI sing Japanese version of "Livin on a Prayer" in Japan???

No word could describe how I felt when I found out B'z would be coming to New York! I simply love Inaba-san and Tak, this duo rock band from Japan. Seeing them alive was great! I also like the venue which is not too big and can enjoy being close with them. I hope they will come again soon! Seating was all right. There was floor space in the front where people were standing to watch the performance. I wish the TV screens were larger and better quality. But all was good.

It was surreal to actually see B'z live! Well worth the 5-hour trip I made from home! It was standing-room only, so my feet were sore by the end of the concert (especially after waiting in line for hours to get a good spot) but it was MORE than worth it to be so close (there were only about 2-5 people in front of me!) to B'z! There is absolutely no comparison for the excitement and energy of a live concert, for the feel of the music thrumming through your whole body as they play! They played a reasonable mix of songs in English and in Japanese, and I found it rather funny that it was easier for me to sing along with the songs in Japanese than in English. You could tell they were having a blast, and so was everyone in the audience!

This year the B'z had a concert in three venues in the east coast as a part of the North American tour: Toronto, Silver Spring and NY. NY was definitely the place where B'z dreamed of playing for a long time according to the vocalist Koshi Inaba. The audience @ Best Buy Theater felt their passion and joy. B'z has been the No.1 rock band in Asia for more than twenty years and their play is incredibly awesome and amazing. You just got to try it ! Even if you don't know their music, you will definitely enjoy it. They will make you enjoy in a broad rage from beautiful ballads to hard rocks in a setlist. 7 out of 17 songs were in English and they will release more English songs in the future!

It was an unforgettable night. Inaba's voice, Matsumoto's guitar, everything... I have seen them played in Japan for a few occasions, but since I was in a big stadium with 50,000 people, they were so tiny. This time, I could not believe they were so close to us -that would never happen in Japan. They played some English songs like Into Free, as well as old Japanese popular songs such as Blowin', Negai, ZERO, etc. I almost cried when they played Mouichido kiss shitakatta, a song they rarely play. I really wish they will come back to NYC next year. Next time, they should play more songs, including Wonderful Opportunity, my favorite song.

B'z had the East coast tour for the first time as a part of the whole American tour this year. The Fillmore @ Silver Spring was the second venue of the East coast. The sound was very good compared with the first venue in Toronto and the size of the venue was ideal for a standing live. We were allowed to bring a bottle of water in, which was not allowed in Toronto. The people working there were more flexible and comfortable. Maybe because of the size and the location of the city, everything was very relaxed and comfortable and I enjoyed the show the most of three venues in the east coast;Toronto, Silver Spring and NY.

This year was the first time that B'z played in the East coast of North America. You would just get so impressed if you happen to be there and even if you don't know about them, by their powerful and ingenious sounds of singing voices, guitars, keyboards and drums. Just try B z. You will know why B'z has been the No.1 band in Japan for more than twenty years and so many fans fly far from Japan and the other Asian countries to see them close.

I cannot emphasize enough how overwhelming their performance was. I spent my teenage in 90s in Japan and since then they were the Japanese Super Star . I really surprised that they came to Silver Spring! They were 1000 times more attractive in live. I really regret that I never saw them live. I really should have. Although the performance was amazing and we were really close to the stage (only a few feet), they could have done much better in the marketing. There were only 200 people or so in the Fillmore Theater. I am pretty sure that they are not making any profit at all from this concert. I really want them to come back to DC. In order to do that, they should have done better Marketing. No one saw any advertisement other than the news letter from Japanese embassy and DC s local Japanese newspaper.

I never thought I would get to see B'z in such a small theater and for such good prices! I was less than 4 yards from Inaba and Matsumoto and the tickets were only $66! Their Japanese songs are still their best (some of which they played). I was pleasantly surprised that they sounded so good in person--awesome guitar, vocals, and backup. I hope they come back!!! And maybe next time the tour stuff can just say "Washington, D.C." I know the Fillmore is in Silver Spring, but that was kinda wierd.

The show started at 07.30 pm, entry was at 06.30 pm. For standing in lane for 1h 30m I got 5th row stance places (1h earlier and it could possibly have been 1st or 2nd row). They put up a great show, great songs (could not have wished for a better two and a half hour show, many of my favourites were in it) and really build up some atmosphere; the two and a half hours felt way to short! The closeness to the stage and positioning a little to the right from the centre where perfect to get a good view on both Koshi and Tak, unfortunately Barry Sparks was quite far away due to this, and in contrary to Tak he didn't move to the other side of the other side of the stage. But as I came to watch B'z and either Koshi and/or Tak were always in front of my "seat", heating up the atmosphere! The combination of great rock songs, both the atmosphere brought up by the band and the audience made one great evening! looking forward to future shows!

I'll start by saying that this was the greatest concert I've ever seen in all of my years. I can't believe none of my friends know who they are; especially after this. I'm pretty sure no one can go to a live-gym and walk away thinking "eh, that was just alright." I'm just going to say it and I don't care what anybody thinks because they're wrong: Tak Matsumoto is the greatest guitarist alive, and is the greatest guitarist I've ever heard. I play music, I know what I'm talking about; if you don't believe me, go to a live-gym and watch the master at work. I know there are people out there who are thinking, "that's insane, what about Jimi Hendrix?" All I know is that I saw Tak do things which I never thought was possible. He played better than I've seen in any video and I could not believe what was happening. I can keep going on and on, but I can never do his guitar-work justice. I'll stop by saying that halfway through their third song, the thought crossed my mind that I will never hear guitar played this well again for the rest of my life, and I almost felt sad (which would be impossible because this concert made me so happy). Koshi Inaba's voice was pitch perfect and he performed with an intensity that is rare from a band which has been playing for so long. I don't want to short-change the rest of the band, every member rocked VERY hard. I can easily say that every song they played was far better than I've ever heard the song played previously. I came from Philadelphia to go to my first live-gym and I will never forget it. Some final thoughts: as opposed to other reviewers, I thought the songs sung in English rocked just as much as the songs they sang in Japanese (I was worried this wouldn't be the case from reading reviews before the show, but I must have somehow forgotten that Koshi Inaba is incredibly talented), they played songs which I really wanted them to play but thought that they wouldn't (including a version of "it's showtime" that was far better than I've ever heard that song played and made me wish I had a recording of it from that night), and they played a lot of songs over a longer period of time than most concerts (I wasn't timing it, but they probably played for over an hour and a half while most bands are lazy and only play an hour max).

B'z has always been one of my favorite bands. I've seen them 3 times in the US so far, twice at the Filmore and now once at the Warfield. Both are intimate settings that you just can't get in Japan - where they always play in huge stadiums. So, getting this close to the band is something that you can only get here. I've always been up by the stage, so i don't know if that has an impact on the sound quality, but it definitely can get muffled. They sing great songs, but my biggest issue is that he's really gotta stop singing their classic hits in freaking English. 1) no one knows the damn lyrics, and 2) i'm not here to listen to you sing in English. You're a japanese band and i want to hear you sing in Japanese. So annoying. Thus, the -1 star. The music builds and you expect to hear the song as you've heard it thousands of times before, and then you hear something so unexpected you just sorta stand there. PLEASE STOP B'Z!!!! SING IN FREAKING JAPANESE!!!!

This was absolutely an amazing night for all B'z fans in Los Angeles. In Japan, they are the most popular rock band. Venues are always enormous, that a $50 tickets would give an ant-size view of them. Thank god, Club Nokia is small that everyone got to see B'z so close, Inaba didn't even need to talk thru microphone. His raw voice was heard by everyone :) Mostly the songs were in Japanese, which most of us were expecting, and some of their hit songs were in English exclusively. I love how they come to North America so fans can enjoy the music w/o traveling all the way to Japan.

Since it was a small venue, I was expecting a small show, but the turnout was amazing. I think B'z has a wonderful act; the vocals were amazing and the guitarist was phenomenal. They were both perfect and completely energetic and pumped up the crowd. Inaba's vocal range is amazing and always in tune, and Tak is amazingly talented with his guitar. Since this was my first B'z experience, I was not expecting that much English, considering I've been to a lot of Japanese-based concerts, but he was fluent and really engaged the crowd both in English and Japanese. My friend was not a familiar with them before the concert, and now she's definitely a fan. They rocked out and reallly were a great concert experience.

B'z of course was amazing i wish they would come more often but i just have one complain the tickets wouldn't give you a seat number when you don't get to seat at all. at the end i had a wonderful time.

but the stage was much, much lower for me, who was standing in far back. I'm very short, by the way. I couldn't see any act at all. That was sooooooooooooooo disappointing.
