Delirious
The show immediately came out pounding! The band opened with Repined Bastard Nation and the fans heads started to thrash back and forth. That action repeated through 12 additional songs! Satyr has such a menacing presence, that compels your inner demon to come forth to the light and get out some aggression! As usual, they did not play any songs from Dark Medieval Times. There was Forhekset from Nemisis Devina and of course, Mother North in the encore, from the same album. All of the other songs were from Volcano, Now Diabolical and The Age of Nero. Nocturno Culto and Gildas were on guitar. I am trying to figure out who the touring bass player is this round, since Victor Brandt elected not to tour this year. Very good performance, my neck is still sore!!

Chthonic was supposed to be a part of this show and for some reason ended up playing in Florida. According to their MySpace page they were supposed to play. A number of people I talked to were highly dissapointed by this and wanted to see them. Toxic Holocaust started off the evening with a set mostly comprised of songs off of "An Overdose Of Death". This is the second time I have seen Toxic Holocaust in less than a month and they are quickly becoming a favorite among metal fans in the area. I have not seen Bleeding Through since they were one of the openers for Bullet For My Valentine over a year ago and some of the people in the crowd I was talking to were not all that excited about them because of their metalcore style. Brandon Schieppati acknowledged the fact that metal fans can be pretty brutal in their opinions about bands and to give them a chance. They played a set of mostly newer material and got a decent sized mosh pit going with the small crowd. I liked them just fine, I have heard worse. The first time I saw Satyricon was as one of the warmup bands for Cradle Of Filth, and a lot of people (myself included) were surprised by the quality of the music. Satyr asked the crowd if we would like them to come back and play again and the the response was overwhelming! True to his word Satyr and the band returned to The NorVa to play to a very light crowd, I would say less than 200 people. They played a wide range of songs from "The Age of Nero" to "Dark Medieval Times". While the crowd was light, they were very enthusiastic, singing along with many of the songs. Eyal Levi of DAATH blogged on metalsucks about the difference between major and metal labels in terms of success based on record sales, he pointed out that "The Age of Nero" had only sold 15,000 copies. While I understand metal fans can be finicky, this is one band that I feel deserves a lot more attention than they get.

Satyricon was awesome. Good thing there weren't a lot of people there. Only true elite kult black metallers showed up.

Band called Rosenguard opened up the night and shut the street DoWn. After their set, there was a power outage on the whole block. I guess that's what happens when METAL is played RIGHT!!!!!! Satyricon's set was delayed because of the power outage and it took a while for the crowd to get into Satyricon's set, but it was a night of METAL!!!!!!

I saw Satyricon at the Key Club in Los Angeles. The opening acts were really good, the venue was nice (though the bathrooms were 90% broken), and the bar was good. The 2-drink minimum was confusing though, apperently that's just for minors?... Satyricon was amazing, it was the second time I saw them and I'd see them again. Satyr and the rest of the band got more enthusiastic as the show went on. They played 2 encores, ending with "Mother North", which the crowd sang along to. The crowd was awesome too. The pit was rough but fun, and not too many drunk annoying people.

I was impressed by the band called Chthonic from Taiwan. They rocked! I personally think Chthonic was the best performer in that concert. I did some research on line about them and found they are extremely popular in Asia and Europe, so how the hell they ended up playing the opening which was a mystery for me.

Excellent show in Orlando, although it was not the largest crowd. Satyr really gets the crowd involved which adds to the fun. Chthonic was impressive! Also, the local band Abdomen...was really good, too!

i came all the way from Puerto Rico to see Bleeding Through and Satyricon, and it was all worth it! I only disliked the fact that Bleeding Through played so few songs, since I mainly came for them, but oh well, at least I saw them. And Satyricon kicked ass!, great set and great performance. Chthonic played great, and there very kind people, and Toxic played a nice set. Got pics with Frost, Brandan and Marta (BT), and with Chthonic. Looking forward to repeat this experience.

We got tickets to see Bleeding Through. This is the 5th time we saw them, and they were amazing as usual. The venue wasn't crowded at all, and we were able to stand right in front of the stage and got to meet Brandan Schieppati after the show. I wish they could've played a longer set though - it was only about 40 minutes or less. Two shows were playing at the venue at the same time - we almost missed the show by walking into the show happening downstairs, instead of venturing upstairs. Maybe a sign would've helped!
