As always, Texas put on an excellent show. Even after many, many years of them being retired, they've come back in full force with an excellent set and two new songs. I'm thrilled they played BlueBoy as well. The opening band, Title Fight was great. I've never heard them before and really enjoyed them. We are glad they came to Boston and hope they visit again sooner than the last time! Also, The Paradise Rock Club is an awesome venue and one of the best in the Boston and Providence area that I've ever been to.

This concert was great, it was my first time going to the Paradise and I loved it. The venue was pretty nice and the music was great. I went for Title Fight but Texas is the Reason left an impression for sure and I am glad I got to see both of them. Title Fight's set was amazing, I don't exactly remember what they played but I know that they played (not in this order) : Secret Society, Leaf, 27, Loud and Clear, Shed, Stab, Calloused, Numb, but I still feel it, Head in the Ceiling Fan, Symmetry and Safe in your Skin, and I'm pretty sure their probably are a couple I missed. Unfortunately I missed most of Texas is the Reason's set but I saw their last 2 songs and loved them, especially A Jack with One Eye! Overall this concert was great and one of the best I've ever been too!

Back in their heyday, circa 1997, I was living way out in the wilderness of Idaho, far away from my native MA and the flourishing east coast music scene. NYC bands like Texas is the Reason, Shift, and Stillsuit were crafting melodic, emotional post hardcore music. Tours would happen, but rarely would any of these great bands land in Boise (although, Shift played in Idaho twice during my indentured servitude). When I found out Texas is the Reason had broken up, my heart sank, knowing that I would never get to see them play a full set live (I caught a fragment of a set when my band opened for them in 1995. I don't think I had even heard the EP at that point - and the set was all of 4 songs long). The chance to see them live, 15 years after they disbanded, was thrilling. They played every song they had recorded, 15 tunes in all. Every one of them spot on and just as full of power and beauty as ever. The announcement was made before the show that this was part of their last run of tour dates ever. I am humbled to have been a part of the final stateside Texas is the Reason show. Also, this was my first trip to the Paradise. A nice club, and a good crowd. The sound wasn't fantastic, but not atrocious either.

my sisters rehearsal dinner got scheduled for that night so i didn't get to go. but i couldve let someone else go but it was will call only. so the band got their money and fans missed out. wouldve really liked to see them or let someone else have the chance.

The sound was awful for the first three songs, but after that it was like 1996 all over again.
