University of Akron Zips Mens Basketball

Akron beat kent. GO ZIPS!!! The arena is great. The campus is beautiful.

Akron U athletic and the games are so fun not expensive for all ages it was a blast!

The event was awesome as usual. A great way to kick off the college basketball season!!

The game was fun. Wish arena security was better. The University of Akron needs security personnel at the doors a long with metal detectors. .

Lots parking close by. Easy to get in and out onto highway. Not a bad seat in arena.

There are no bad seats in the JAR! The place is large enough for a crowd, but small enough to be an awesome, loud atmosphere.

Seats were expensive for a college Mac Game, $30 each with fees. Place was rocking and ready to go and than Akron simply didn't show up. Ohio led most of 2nd half by 20. Thought Akron did a pretty good job of keeping people entertained. They need to work on their handouts during commercial breaks...Band is playing while they try to run a promotion each break

Besides the fact that Akron lost, the seats were great. Every seat in the JAR is close to the action.

If you can even get a ticket to see them now that they sport the longest win streak in the nation by all means do it. They are playing great. What a deal.

Akron basketball is the best in the state of ohio. 18 wins in a row!!!!!

The arena rocked and was jam packed. Great game. Offense struggled but their defense is amazing. Go Zips!

The JAR is a nice arena, the seats were good, right across from the Zips bench. Great game...17 and counting!!

The James a. Rhodes (JAR) center is a horrible place to watch a game. It's small, old and has a lot of bad seats!

Had an amazing time at the JAR. Akron did a number on Cleveland State and I had great seats!

Great game. Good experience. We parked in a garage a short walk from the arena and were in and out quickly and easily.

My seats were bad .Row A should be obstructed view seating. Fans walk in front of you without regard and if you can see past them,you must look through a glass barrier.

Have been to college basketball games throughout the country, but my first Akron/Kent game. Excellent atmosphere and a competitive game to the end. JAR doesn't have all the amentities of newer/bigger buildings, but it's hard to beat it for charm. Staff was excellent with answers to any questions. We came with three generations from age 10 to 87 and everybody left entertained. Only criticism I can offer is that facility needs to control ingress of foot traffic while ball is in play (like they do at NHL games). Those sitting in rows nearest walkways were blocked constantly by pedestrian traffic. All in all, a great night and we'll likely go back again.
