good actors, great voice, grand stage i decided to take my mom (who is an old school, hard to please oldie) to see the opera. she was quiet for the whole time it was on. after the play ended, her comments did not at all surprise me. i just was disappointed at the crowd who kept on clapping after every good song the whole time the opera was on.

good acting, great voice. the whole set was really grand. i decided to take my mother with me, (who is an old school, hard to please oldie). she was quiet the whole time that the show was on. so then after it ended, i asked her for her opinion and her answer did not surprise me at all. i just was disappointed at the whole crowd who kept on clapping after every song at the middle of the play.

Being a huge fan of Phantom, my family and I arranged a trip for us to go see Phantom before it's last show. We got front row tickets and it was just amazing! I was blown away by the chandelier and the beauty of all the sets. My friends and I were also fangirling over Raoul when he went into the crowd chasing Giry. It was just a perfect show and I would love to go see it again.

This is Phantom at its best. All that is left out is the intermission and apparently some dialog scenes that I couldn't even tell were missing. The theater and stage work are awesome. The cast was marvelous. If you have never seen The Phantom of the Opera or if it's a show you've enjoyed in the past then this one should be at the top of your list of shows to see in Vegas.

This was a great performance for those of any age allowed to attend. The cast was wonderful, performance excellent, stage great and all the work the team did to perform! The only suggestion for those that have no interest do not attend - we had a guy dressed like a slob behind us that had not interest - he talked on phone and huffed and puffed....until over....shame as his daugther attended with them....and grandma....

the play was amazing, the actors and actresses were outstanding and live orchestra touched our hearts with music. The decor and ambiance left us speachless. It was a true travel back in time . I wish though the audience would follow a dress code, after all this is not a movie theather!!

Loved the show, but was disappointed with the technical difficulties at the beginning. One of the most dramatic parts and the chandalier had issues.
My husband and I saw Phantom about 10 years ago at a local venue. When we planned our mini vacation to Vegas we decided that we really wanted to see it again. We were simply blown away with the performance. The theatre made all the difference. We were captivated from the very dramatic beginning and loved every minute of it. I would most definitely suggest that anyone going to Vegas that enjoys Andrew Lloyd Weber's music see it. Unforgettable!
The last performance was truly the BEST performance. We have seen it 8 times, and these seats gave us a totally different perspective. We only wish we had sat here before. Too bad it is over.
Terrible experience. I'm sure it was a spectacular play, but I COULD NOT SEE anything, even though I tried to sit on my hands to see the stage, tried all sorts of position to see what was going on. Bad engineering design of this theater. If you are short, near sighted, forget it. However, music was outstanding. Christin and Raoul had beautiful voices. They are very expressive. They are tremendously talented opera singers. Their voices still haunt me. However I would never see such a fabulous opera in an awfully designed theater like the one at Venetian. Never again. Better to just watch it on Vegas PBS. Waste of my money.
We have been fortunate to see every major production show in Vegas over the past few years. And, although KA may be the best for special effects, and Jersey Boys for the music, we still feel Phantom to be our favorite. A rare combination of doing it all so well. Its so well done, and touches the heart and inner soul better than the rest. It's a show that everyone knows, but it still delivers with a Bang!! The music combined with over the top special effects, make for a dramatic production. We felt it was much better than the NY production. We are saddened to see it close after a 6 yr run... We hope that maybe one day, it'll somehow come back. And, for those who weren't able to catch this amazing production, we can only say... "you missed the boat"!!!
Even if this wasn't Broadway and was missing a few parts, the sheer performance was incredible. All the actors and actresses were incredible and I never heard a sour note. Even the super high note that the character Christine hits. You ALL know which note this is. As a die hard Phantom fan, I couldn't have asked for anything better. Oh, and not to mention the chandelier. When that thing swung into place it left me speechless. I'm so glad I was able to go and take another Phantom fiend. Yes, fiend. Well worth it.
My boyfriend and I went to this show mainly because it was the last weeked they were showing at the Venetian. Though he is not one to care much for musicals or plays, he LOVED it! The effects and theater were AMAZING! We live on the East Coast and so now he definitely wants to get up to New Yorks Broadway to see how it compares!
Went specifically to see the set Andrew LLoyd Weber designed for his musical masterpiece and was not disappointed! Heard greater singing at other productions..couldn't understand the words to the songs except for Raul and Christine (but maybe it was our seats??? )Christine's part was sung beautifully. The sets and pyrotechniques were phenonminal.
I enjoyed this musical so much that I teared up while watching it! I am planning on flying to New York in the future just to see it again! I just love Phantom of the Opera and I am so glad I got to see it before it ended in Las Vegas! Awesome Musical!
i had doubts seeing it, since i watched it before. im truely glade i watch it again, it would had been a big mistake. it was so incredibly amazeing especially since it was its last showing in las vegas.
Phantom - The Las Vegas Spectacular - was nothing less than spectacular. I was very moved by the music and drama of the story that the amazing cast unfolded before your eyes and ears. I wish I could go to see it again, but alas, the venue has ended. Very bittersweet.
I saw the last 2 performances of Phantom In Las Vegas -- it was spectacular! I wish it could have stayed there so others could enjoy seeing the Phantom in the theatre that was built for it. Las Vegas has lost one of it's finest attractions; after all, it's not all about the casinos and gambling. Some of us go for the shows!
This show was amazing. Definately one worth seeing. Unfortunately this show eneded on 09/02/12. I really wish that the show would ahve continued. It was amazing and breath taking.
The air conditionning made us feel like we were in a wind storm on the North Pole. Had the show not been excellent, we would probably have to left the theater before the end.

I saw the masterpiece "The Phantom of the Opera" in London and in Madrid. That was musical theatre... In Las Vegas they cut dialogues and reduce lenght to make it more suitable for the audience. Despite of that, they introduce spectacular effects. If you are fan of The Phantom and you are visiting Las Vegas... Please, don't miss it!

This is an outstanding show! The 40 million dollar theater was designed specifically for the Phantom, and it is amazing! Every seat has a great view and excellent sound quality. The show itself is top notch. The acting is great, the singing is great, the backdrops and props are great, the live orchestra is great, all the major parts of the original Phantom are included- you get the picture- everything about this production is outstanding! There is nothing about it that I would change. I highly recommend this show! You will not be disappointed. The only disappointment is that it's ending in the fall.

I had traveled from England just to see this as I had become aware of it closing in September - it was now or never and I didn't want the regret of never seeing it. I sat in the second row mezzanine for this performance. It is everything I had wished for being so used to seeing the London performance and having attended all the 25th anniversary performances of Phantom at the Royal Albert Hall. This is truly a 'Spectacular' from the amazing self constructing chandelier, an acrobatic Phantom, to the fire works over the opera house just like the 2004 film version all of which were a delight. All main characters were performed with sympathy - the Phantom being played quite mad and warped in places, but redeeming himself as always at the end and of course tearing your heart out with his despair. The following night I was in the second row orchestra. I had a VIP ticket for that one - well worth the money. As I was dressed in a red death costume made for the 25th anniversary performances, it was nice to be acknowledge with a personal bow from the Phantom when he took his curtain call as I was on my feet applauding and he'd spotted me. Of course this English Madame Red Death paid back the same compliment and returned the bow. The back stage tour was well worth the money - it did not finish till midnight and the 'Phantom' was very gracious spending time telling tales of the production, signing programmes and taking pictures. We got to see everything, above stage, below stage, the Phantom's throne, boat, masquarade stairs, mirror and to also get our chance to stamp Madame Giry's cane! Go and see this before it disappears, bare in mind you are going to see a Vegas Spectacular - the singing voices of some are not a patch on those of London or New York (which I did on my way home) but as they say you will never see it like this again - ever, you don't want to miss it!

This was everything I'd hoped it would be, and that was a lot! Easily one of the greatest memories of my entire life. The cast was amazing, the effects were jaw-dropping, and the theatre itself was epic. I sat in the mezzanine Sec 11 Row BD, and for my tastes, these were the best seats in the house. I got dead-center stage & was eye-level with the chandelier pieces when they flew through the Overture. Perfect view of all the chandelier effects, plus a great aerial view of the stage. Sound quality was perfect up there as well.

I'm from LI NY and I now live in Ogden Utah and we are going to go to the Las Vegas Phantom show after we get back from Hawaii cruise. I LOVE phantom! It was the first broadway Ny, NY play I saw with my adorable husband. He is an ObGyn and looks like Harrison Ford:) we only had a few days to see it and took my Mom who is 86 now but this was like 12 years ago and she was so crazy about it! We love "All I ask of You" and when we were engaged that was our song, still is! Phantom is the BEST show period~ I love Les Mis and I've seen many of them all around the world, but I feel that wherever you see Phantom the cast will be fantastic! The music, storyline etc is so intelligent and beautiful~ We listen to the CD all the time. If you are in love like we are, or hope to be someday, then you must see Phantom of the Opera, the score is incredible!

Outstanding sets and music. We were overwhelmed by the overall performance.
I purchased orchestra seating for the show and it was worth it. This was my first Las Vegas show. It was the perfect venue at The Venetian with a classic theatre what more could you ask for. The show engages the audience at some parts you are part of the show. The sets are amazing and the performances are spectacular.
Visual treat! Open up your imagination and explore a whole new world. Words can't express the experience I had wile watching this performance. This show had it all energy, passion, romance. Truley an unforgetable experience that will stay with me for a life time.
I've seen the Phantom of the Opera many times from Broadway to Milwaukee. This show has extra effects that can only be done in a theater specifically built for this production. Tony Crivello is great as the Phantom. The production is truly Spectacular.
I've seen the production in other cities, but this one was truly unique! The singing was great and the special effects made it very special. There is no intermission and some of the dragging areas were tightened up for this production, which was good. Also, our seats were great! Front row of the balcony has a great view of everything, especially the chandelier... I always get chills during the opening part, but this one brought tears to my eyes!
I've lived in Las Vegas for 6 years, and have seen The Phantom of the Opera 3 times. I love it, every time I go; I notice something new or different. I met the cast when I went on a backstage tour. Amazing show!
This is the 3rd time I've seen this play and I didn't mind seeing it again, and again, and again. I took my husband as a birthday present after having dinner at Red Square at Mandalay Bay and we had the best time. He had only seen the movie when he was 13 y/o in black and white, so I thought it's about time he sees the play. An amazing play that is.
This was a Christmas gift to my mom and sis - a trip to Vegas to see Phantom of the Opera. I thought it would be good, but it far exceeded my expectations. The stage creation/design was amazing. The talent, costumes, special effects - they spared no expense. I was fully engaged the entire show. Even just walking into the theater before the performance, I was taken to another time and world - I felt I was among the long ago theater enthusiasts. I became connected to all 3 main characters. They were all vocally stunning and believable. I'm not a Vegas-type of person, but this show made the trip worth it. My mother has always been a fan of the movie and soundtrack. When they sang her favorite song, "All I ask of you," I looked over and tears were streaming down her face. That was worth every penny. I would've never thought this would be something my husband would be interested in, but after seeing it I think he would've have really enjoyed it. The effects would've been plenty to keep him enthralled. If you have the opportunity - go see Phantom in Vegas!
This was the fifth straight year that my wife and I have seen Phantom of the Opera. I am not an opera fan normally, but the music in this production sends chills up and down my spine. When we went in to the theater, the woman collecting the tickets was VERY rude. That wasn't what kept me from giving it a five though. The four prior years I would had given it a five, but the actors in this year's production didn't seem like they were giving it there all. I figured that it might have something to do with the show leaving on September 1st. My wife and I paid for my daughter and son-in law to come to Vegas to see the show as it was on her 'bucket list'.
The music and acting met my expectations. The shorter format didn't feel like it diminished the experience. The theatrics were great. I definitely recommend looking for a discount.
I live in New York so I have seen all the major Broadway shows and nothing compared to this. The stage settings, performers and costumes along with the spectacular scenery made this the best show ever!!!!!!!! Amazing - thank you Venetian..... Ingrid
The last ever Phantom performance really exceeded our expectations. The effects, the vocals, everything was amazing! It was quite emotional as it was the finale, the speeches were quite touching. I'd love to go again but obviously this isn't an option in Vegas any longer.
So worth it! I wish it was still going! It was a privelege to see it on the second to last night.

This is the last week for Phantom at the Venetian, so hurry to see it if you can. The theater is a replica go the Paris Opera House, making it feel like you are in the story. This is a slightly shorter version of the original London and New York productions, being performed in one act, but all the great songs and effects are there. The cast and crew are 100 percent professional and very talented. Be sure to watch the chandelier assemble at the beginning! It is better than the original effect! In short, it was phantastic!

When my lady friend asked me to go to this show, I went, thinking that I was going to suffer through it for her for 90+ minutes. However... within 5 minutes, I was hooked for the remainder of the opera. I only regret not going sooner and wish that it would stay in Vegas a while longer so that I would have the opportunity to see it again. This was simply amazing.

I have seen Phantom in Houston, Austin, San Francisco, New York, and also the 25th anniversary in London. The Vegas production was by far the best I have seen. The sets, and costumes were beautiful. I am so glad I got to see it before it closed. Final day is Sept 2. If you haven't seen it, time is short before the Phantom goes dark in Vegas.

We so enjoyed this beautifully performed show. It was captivating from the first word spoken, the first note played. It was amazing! Even my husband, whom I had to drag half way across the country to watch this show, was impressed with how wonderful it was. I'm sad that it will be leaving Vegas soon, but so thankful that I heard about it just in time to see it. It was the first and only item on my bucket list, and I wouldn't trade the experience for anything. It's an unforgetable show, and we both loved it!

The special effects were amazing and I loved the costumes. The way the scenes changed and how everything was portrayed was fantastic. The only thing that bugged me was the phantom's voice. I guess it was ok it just wasn't special or anything it had the nice range of highs and lows but overall his voice wasn't what I expected as him being the star of the show. Over all I say the show was unforgettable and It was an expierence I will never forget and I'm glad i went. It was in one word superb.

What an wonderful experience! Now that I've seen this production, I can't believe I didn't go earlier. It's too bad that this show is closing or I would go again. But, we had to see it before it left and we're so glad we did. Was a bit worried about it being cut down to 90 min. but they did a wonderful job. Not much was lost and it was a blast!!! From the time we entered the theater, we knew this was going to be special and it was and more. This was a once in the lifetime experience. Thank you all for a wonderful evening.

I'm not into opera, but this was worth it just to see all the special efftects they were able to do on a stage and theater setting. It was very well done! Aside from the 15 minute late couple that sat it front of my husband and I, blocking the view to the stage with his giant bald head and his partner constantly whispering to him throughout the show, the SHOW WAS LOVELY (at least the parts that I could see). Should have purchased seats that was further back due to proximity to the stage and chandelier and to see above the heads of the people in front. There was a scene that had been cut (the rehearsal right after the masquerade) and no intermission (probably the reason to allow LATE seating). Love the fun and humor the cast brought the to stage. There were a few moments that where the orchestra and the singers were not in sync, and the show seemed rushed to the 2130 showing. It is a shame that the show will end Sept. 2, 2012, SO see it before it is too late.

For some reason expected more and had a vision in my head after hearing all of the amazing experiences. Have seen this performance on Broadway. This performance went very fast and lacked the necessary emphasis on acting out the story as opposed to constant singing, but the music was great and theater was beautiful. Overall good experience. Best of luck to the show and actors as they enter their final week.
