I thought I was taking my kids to a rodeo but I took them to a political tea party. The clown and the commentator went back-and-forth bashing Obama, Pelosi, etc and yelling for George W.Bush to be back in office when they claimed times were great. I know they were playing to the majority of the crowd that swings that way but does it have to come from a clown at a rodeo? My family agreed the cowboys were fantastic and the rodeo portion was great but keep politics away from the kids events when that is not what we paid to hear. Thank you.

Our family attended the North American Championship Rodeo on Saturday night and had a wonderful time. The kids loved getting the free bandanas and cowboy hats! The cowboys and cowgirls were spectacular athletes. What a great family event.

The North American Livestock Rodeo in Louisville is great! I've been for the last 2 years. The Rodeo itself is great, but the huge area of items for sale is also very nice. Everything from western decor to livestock trailers is available. Then you can also watch the animals getting ready for the shows, or watch the different horse, buggy, mule, etc... shows. If any of this is your kinda thing then the rodeo in Louisville will work for you.

I have been attending the rodeo for 15 or so years. In the last five years, we have been taking our grandchildren, ages 5 and 9. And the joy on their faces is well worth the dollar spent. They both watch and listen intently. They are entertained by the events and the announcer along with the clown. In recent years I personally have been disappointed in the 'entertainment break'. I thoguht the caliber of entertainment has decreased. We really loved the One arm bandit. Enjoyed the exposure to the buffalo. I thought that the attendance looked as if it picked up this year on Saturday evening - compared to years past. The grandchildren love the Barnyard set up in the General Store. However, I thought the quality of vendors was down. I wondered if the 2010 World Equestrian Games had taken away from some potential vendors or not.

This was the 3rd time I have attended the North American Championship Rodeo, and yes, I loved it again! It's family fun, it's exciting, and it's different! I love the country shop, especially since Christmas is right around the corner, and this year I met some very wholesome people.

The rodeo was good. It is the $8.00 you pay for parking that is a joke! Anyhow, we had a great time. My daughter enjoyed it and we would go again. It was a little drawn out at times and the comedy from the clown could have been a little more family friendly. I did notice there were alot of teens in the crowd, no so much adults. All in all it was pretty good. Of course the bull riding is more what I like to see.

I believe that better seats should be made available to more people. Only those in the first 5 rows, who already had the best seats, were able to get the free giveways due to being "thrown" from a truck on the ground. No one can throw as high as we were. The event itself was good. Would like to see bull riding after bronc riding. My grandkids really enjoyed that part. Other parts bored them and I think that would have kept their attention better looking for the "next" exciting thing to happen

I have always been impressed with the snippets seen on TV, but can tell you all that it's far better to see this true American heritage sport (art form) live and up close. You will be entertained and in awe every minute of the show. Real cowboys and cowgirls in action.

the show was the show....hey it's a rodeo....if you have seen one you have seen them all! They are entertaining and this one was no exception. The problem Friday night was the sound system. it was way too loud. The yelling and the over-modulation distracted from what was trying to be communicated. Where were the spotters? Why didn't they walk the stands and listen and correct the problem. My ears were ringing when I walked out and I still missed half of what was being said. The horses and cows and cowboys put on a great show!

They spend more time talking and telling you that you are having a great time instead of giving you a great time. In 2 1/2 hrs of show (we left at 10pm) there was probably 40 minutes of actual rodeo. We did not see any of the bulls (except standing in their pen) do anything. I purchased five tickets, one of which was for a 4 years old that was so excited about going, and then asked numerous time "when are they going to ride the horses and the bulls?" Our seats were horrible and could not even see the horses or rider until they had fallen off. DO NOT waste your money.

Seats were only about 8" away from the concrete wall . No leg room at all . Handrails were right in front of us obstructing our view. Music playing before the rodeo started was ear piercing, way too loud !!! Pretty unpleasant .

Rap music and disco lights? Heard only three country music clips the whole night--the same number as Lady Gaga tracks. Bright spotlights couldn't cover up the fact that the broncs weren't really all that tough. Even one of the calves stopped running. The highlight of the night was the clown and horse doing tricks. Very lackluster show.

Have attended for several years. Always get more than expected. Great performance by the athletes and the animals. Was disappointed in the fact people kept coming in and out, standing in aisle ways and blocking your view of the arena, thank goodness for the BIG screen.

It was a very fun and entertaining night. Both my 20 yr old and 16 yr old enjoyed it as well. The announcer and the clown were very funny. The only negative comment I have is that I thought there would have been more contestants in the bull riding. It was the last event and I expected something bigger.

Loved my first experience at the rodeo. Will definitely come back again in the future. It was nonstop entertainment and for this country-living loving gal. Our seats had a great view, but the area is very cramped. There is little leg room and if you have to go to the restroom you are screwed. Half way through the show we ended up switching seats to farther back up in the stands where there was more room.

Loved the rodeo... not the location of the seats. Called in plenty of time to reserve good seats and found ourselves in the nosebleed section! My mom can't walk up all those steps so we had to set behind the bucking shoots which turned out okay.

It's been awhile since I attended a rodeo, and my last was when I was a kid and Roy Rogers and Dale Evans MC'd the event. So the bar was set pretty high in my memory. The MC was good and the rodeo events were exciting and competitive. We did not like the halftime event of having the monkey named "Whiplash" that was strapped to the back of a Border Collie who chased (herded) sheep around the arena. The monkey was thrown back and forth as the dog ran around the arena, and we really felt sorry for the little fella. No wonder they named him "whiplash". The show would have been just as good without the monkey. The rodeo clown was not as funny as I have seen other rodeo clowns, and his patter and jokes dragged and should have been scripted better. The family loved the rodeo events though and would go again.

A great family friendly event with lots of action! Fantastic announcer plus fun music keeps everyone in the loop & very entertained. These are real cowboys/cowgirls continuing decades old traditions with real rodeo events. Never a dull moment during the entire 2 ½+ hours. The arena seats are small but the fun is large - our second trip and will go back next year as well. On premises (and free) there is a huge set up of everything cowboy & western in terms of shopping plan to arrive early! The kids can also ride a mechanical bull (small fee) and visit the petting zoo (free).

My daughter and I had a blast, the rodeo clown was the best part (funny as can be). Everything was done in a timly manner you didn't have to worry about when the next event would be. The team penning could have done a better job. The event it's self was great we really enjoyed ourself. But the food there was way over priced. A meduim drink was 3.75 a BBQ pulled pork was 5.00.

I could not sit in my seat because it was occupied. I spent the first half of the rodeo standing around waiting for ushers to sort it out. Ushers could not get people to move so they stuck me in an empty seat. I then had to get up when the ticketholders for those seats arrived. At this point a group of people offered me an extra seat that they had that was open. It was all rather embarrassing and not a good experience.

Rodeo was as good as expected. However it was incredibly loud. The Moody guy on the horse seemed to be screaming in the microphone. I wish I would of brought my ear muffs. I seen a lot of people walking around with toilet paper or napkins shoved in their ears. That was uncalled for and almost forced us to leave. However the Cowboys and Cowgirls did their jobs and put on a great show.
