Loud, raucous version of an old fashioned kitchen party from Nova Scotia and cold celtic climates!! Singing, dancing, laughing---great family entertainment!

Leahy's Christmas show was new for me, but there were many favorites, like Call to the Dance, I was glad to hear again. I missed Agnes, but Denise has a strong voice that her daughter Emily has inherited. Siobheann was a trooper, on stage so soon after surgery. Marie sweetly smiled, as always, letting her music speak for her. Doug and Denise getting into a little sibling needling was fun to see. Angus got a little more into the limelight. Erin continues to stun me with her talent. Frank did his usual great job on percussion. And Donell was...Donell. Doug's kids were great to see, dancing and making music.

I was really looking forward to this show as I have an older cassette of theirs. The family members are very personable and seem to enjoy performing. The sound was not very good - lots of whoomp, whoomp - too loud and the lead fiddler sounded screechy on a couple of numbers. Not enough variety in the numbers performed. I bought a CD on the way out and it is lovely with many different types of songs. It's a shame there were not more people there - I think Carolina Theater could have advertised it much more. We get both Raleigh and Durham papers and saw only one article prior to the concert. It must be hard to be super enthusiastic when there are so many empty seats.

This was my third time seeing the group Leahy perform and it was once again wonderful. They played a combination of Christmas music along with their own songs off their albums. Look forward to seeing them again.

We really enjoyed the evening with the Leahy's - we felt like we were in their living room. They are all very talented and we especially loved all the children. A nice way to enjoy the Christmas Season. The only negative was that the venue's sound person was not doing a very good job of keeping the instruments at a acceptable level - nothing to do with the artists. At times the vocalist was drowned out by the fiddlers - and you could not hear the acoustic or bass guitar. I complained at intermission and it seemed to be a little bit better during the 2nd half of the show. Even with this issue, we thoroughly enjoyed the evening!

Amazingly talented family! Having their young children perform was inspiring. I do believe that these Leahy Family performances will be able to continue for more generations to enjoy as the children age into the performance.

Each and every family member astonished the audience by playing more than one instrument, singing, or dancing. It was an enjoyable night. I certainly would recommend it.

I don't understand Toronto. Leahy is fantastic. Why this show wasn't sold out is a mystery to me. Of course, I am from the Ottawa Valley and this type of music is in my genes. I look forward to seeing them again next year. Please invite them back ... we will be there!

This would be my fourth and my mothers seventh time seeing them. They always put on a wonderful performance. The Christmas special was especially good. Hearing them tell their stories made you feel like you were a part of the family. One of the great feelings about being at a live event is feeling as if we are all "One" Seeing the nieces and nephews come out was an added bonus. I look forward to bringing my mom to the Sony Centre next year to see Leahy.
