From the theater, to the singing, to the acting, to the set, it was an amazing show. I would highly recommend it. We are a family of 4 with 2 girls ages 8 and 11 and it was their favorite thing we did on our trip to NYC.

My daughter (age 6) and I enjoyed Annie the Musical. My mother purchased the DVD for her over a year ago and she's been a fan ever since. Annie is also one of my childhood favorites! My daughter sang every song and smiled the entire time (except when her loose tooth began to bother her!). We had awesome seats (rows J & K, seats 10) on the mezzanine right side, but my daughter had to lean forward on the rail during most of the performance. I offered to switch seats with her so that she could sit higher, but she didn't want to move. The only real negative is that the theater was chilly.

Beautiful theatre. However our orchestra box seats were obstructed view once the 4 seats in fron of us were being used. That was very disappointing. This is a very well done performance. The children parts are done to perfection. The lead is Annie is great. If you have really young children I suggest this play gets into a lot of plot that will bore them. The child behind us 6-7 years was so disliking it she kept saying she did not like the MOVIE & wanted pop corn. The score is contagious and you can't help but sing along. Days before Christmas in NYC was a mob scene and the 7 PM show was packed. Hard to get a cab in NYC or a seat on the LIRR......

Seeing Annie at the Palace Theatre was a childhood dream come true for me. Annie was the first musical I ever saw as a little girl when it was on national tour. Seeing it all these years later was an amazing experience. My best friend is Katie Finneran and we performed Annie over and over again for the neighborhood. To see Katie take command of the Broadway stage and captivate everyone in the audience with her larger than life humor, powerful voice and natural charisma was one of the proudest moments of my life. Lila Crawford, Anthony Warlow and all the orphans were terrific. All in all, a brilliant Broadway experience not to be missed.

7 of us came into NYC during the holidays to see Annie. My niece had requested it, and my husband was not thrilled, but the children and grandma were interested so in we went. The show was captivating! The music and songs were great! The costumes and sets were great! The humor was entertaining. The children were astonishingly wonderful! The adults were also incredible! The show was great. My 7th grade son and husband both enjoyed the play tremendously....which says a lot. We saw Spiderman the next day, and my kids liked Annie better, though they enjoyed Spiderman too! It also put us in a good Christmas mood!

We traveled only from Long Island, but the snow was a little scary. We didn't know if the show would be cancelled, but as they say, "the show went on". It was so well acted and the scene changes were non-stop there were no chanced to lose attention, not even the little ones. Too bad the show is ending today. I'm sure this fabulous cast will find a new home in another successful musical or play. Thanks for the memories. And one other thing, that sweet dog Sandy, brought tears to all of our eyes just watching the touching moments with Annie.

While Annie could certainly hit all the high notes, she lacked some of the acting skills necessary to really play this role. Where was all the moxie and rough edges that made the original character so memorable? This Annie is an almost irritating pollyanna rather than a real street urchin whose optimism in spite of a truly hard life wins over the likes of Oliver Warbucks and president Roosevelt. This Annie didn't seem surprised to learn that a house could have a pool INSIDE. Also there were some really bad storytelling choices -in the shanty town number they are talking about how they can't throw away the newspapers any more because they need them to keep warm and use them for blanket. Then, in the middle of the Herbert Hoover song, they magically produce a pristine poster of the guy. Where did they get it? Why haven't they burned it? In the original I seem to remember a faded poster on one of the shanty homes. This kind of incongruous staging really ungrounded the production and made it all feel like a glossed over theme-park version of what was originally an INCREDIBLE musical with some of the most memorable songs of my generation. The direction and choreography didn't tell the story. Their costumes were all clean as well. Couldn't they be treated to look old and ragged? The orphans lacked moxie as well and seemed to have been directed to 'act cute' rather than hungry, looney and sad. The choreography lacked some of the power and wild anger that the original communicated so well. Poor Faith Prince. You have one of the best Broadway stars up there acting against cardboard. Supporting roles like Grace etc. also did not have This was the first Broadway show I took my child too. She didn't know the difference, but I was really disappointed.

This was the first Broadway play for our children. Our son is 9 and our daughter is 12. Our son was Oliver Warbucks in his 3rd grade play. We really enjoyed the Annie performance. The kids in the show were really, really good (especially Annie). The dog plays a much smaller role than the movie and they changed up the ending compared to the movie. However, the play was still great (even my 14 year old son enjoyed it). I have seen the movie and an other play done by young adults in a middle school, but this play was over the top... From the beginning the props and scenery were spectacular and 3 dimentional. The clothesline was real and gave such a nice backdrop . The chandelier was so beautiful and looked fabulous as a Christmas tree. The cast was the best, even with 5 of the roles being replaced, the show was 5 plus stars. It made me feel like a child again with hopes and dreams fulfilled and finding it an all around feel good show. I recommend this show to people of all ages...it makes you feel young at heart.

I took my 5 year old daughter to see her first Broadway musical today. After watching the Annie movie over and over, i knew she was ready to see it on the big stage! she sat on the edge of her seat the entire show, belting out the songs she knew, and dancing. Not once did she ask me when the show would be over or when could we leave. She truly enjoyed every second of it, even though she noticed scenes from the movie were not being played on stage, like the scene where they go to the movies, or where Annie is running away and being chased up the bridge. My daughter smothered me with kisses and hugs throughout the show and afterwards, thanking me for taking her to see Annie on stage! A memorable experience for the both of us!

Annie on Broadway was brilliant. Ms. Lynch as Hannagin looked like she was having lots of fun and we had fun watching her. The child actresses were fantastic and the dogs were incredibly well trained. The adult ensemble was incredibly talented and versatile, and Annie's "Daddy" Warbucks flawlessly showed the many sides of the billionaire. I have wanted to see Annie since I was a kid. I was an orphan, but not in an orphanage, and in many ways I felt rescued by my second family (my grandmother and her kids). What makes Annie such a spectacular story is her optimism, and don't we all need optimism?! Take a break from all the tales of zombies and robots and superheros and learn about the victories of the human spirit. There were a ton of kids in the audience but oddly enough, it was the adults who were most moved by this tale (at least, when I was there)

I took my 7 year old daughter to see Annie as a birthday present and I must admit the show was fantastic! This was the first Broadway show for our family and I know it won't be the last. All of the actors were so talented that I was brought to tears with the singing and my daughter, Abbie, stayed very attentive. I understand the girl who played Annie was the understudy, but can I just say WOW! I am positive we will be seeing a lot more of her as she grows up. The play stayed true to the movie which was great and the scenery changes on stage were great. The Palace was stunning and we simply had a marvelous time. Abbie did get Sandy afterwards as a remembrance of the show. I am so delighted that Annie was brought back to the theatre as this is a true classic.

I took my 10-year old twin granddaughters to see Annie as a "double digit" birthday present. Their great grandmother had taken their mother and her sister to see the play at about the same milestone. We all loved everything about the production. My criticism is not of the play or production but of audience behavior, some members who had no qualms about getting up and down during the performance to tend to their needs, to talk out loud or to feed their children snacks. Many children were far too young to be in a theatre seat. It was more like being at a hockey game than a Broadway show. A suggestion might be that when tickets are purchased, to include with the confirmation a blurb about theatre etiquette, which could also be printed in a prominent location in Playbill.

We took our children to see Annie. My daughter had been begging us for a month when see seen that the final day was in January. We made it a holiday surprise. Nothing could compare to the delight on her face when we arrived at the theatre. (it wa a surprise) We all enjoyed the show. Even my 11 year old son, who was jaded about going to see a 'girls show'. He enjoyed it and sang along. ( I guess he knew the words after hearing it on the television several times in the last few weeks) It truly was a family treat and enjoyable for every age. We had back row seats, but the performance was still captivating and the actors/actresses were amazing. I never saw Annie before, and I'm very happy to have this performance as my first experience. Definitely would recommend this to everyone! The star of the show, albeit very young, was captivating and breathtaking!

We loved this show!! My husband and I took our 2 kids (13 and 9) to see it. They all sang beautifully. The girls were amazing and Mrs. Hannigan was funny. Daddy Warbuck's performance was great as well as the rest of the cast. My daughter who is an animal lover was very happy to see Sandy. It had a few minor differences from the movie towards the end, but I actually liked this show more than the movie. I'm so glad we got to see Annie before it's final performance in January.

I saw this show in London about 30 years ago and have seen various productions since. This production has everything and should not be missed.

Absolutely brilliant! Best musical seen for a while and I have seen a few. The cast of young girls as the orphans led by Taylor Richardson as Annie, were amazing. Very talented young ladies. Also the lead for Mr Warbucks & Ms Farrell were good too and the performance of Miss Hannigan was outstanding. An absolute must see when on Broadway. Not to forget to mention Sunny playing the dog Sandy - adorable!

I've seen Annie before and this show did not disappoint. The set was visually stunning. The kids were great dancers and singers, in though the show we saw, Annie seemed a little off. Maybe she was having a bad night. THe main thing to consider is the theatre. If you have young children, you'll really want to be in the front mezzanine or the first 10 rows of the orchestra to really see the actor's faces. The theatre is beautiful but rather small. If your child knows nothing of the story, I'd give her the background first and familiarize her with the characters and setting.

We loved the show, very entertaining. The children in the show were fantastic. My two girls aged 6 and 8 were not disappointed. They have watched the movie countless times, and listened to the soundtrack repeatedly before the show! My only disappointment was not seeing Anthony Warlow as Daddy Warbucks. We are Australian and have seen him on home soil and always enjoy his performances.

Since Annie is played all over the country in professional and amateur productions, it is seemingly every where. That's why to stand out the production must have an edge -- and this one did. Faith Prince was her usually incredible self, and the entire cast, down to the maids were so polished and full of life. However, in the middle of the biggest song in the show: Tomorrow, the usher allowed four people to come down the aisle and block our view. Then there was disagreement of who was in the right seat!!!! My grandchildren were very upset, as was I. There MUST be a rule that once the musical/play starts that LATECOMERS WILL NOT BE SEATED!!!! The opera doesn't allow it, why does Nederlander???????
