Hands down the best electronica event I've ever been to. Highly recommend to see the legendary Tom Jenkinson.

I'm a casual Squarepusher fan and didn't know what to expect for his show. It seemed like he wasn't really doing much on stage, almost like he was just kinda pushing play. The visuals were ok and his helmet was cool, but the set up is small potatoes compared to other electronic acts. But I still liked the songs, even though I wasn't familiar with most of them.

Saw him at DEMF on 6/25/13 and he crushed it. One of the best if not the best electronica shows I've ever been to and I've been to a lot. Stunning Visuals, Improved on the bass guitar, this guy blew me away. If you're into more agressive electronic music that doesn't have a 4x4 beat the whole time then Squarepusher is a must see.

12 Years. 12 Year's I've been waiting for the opportunity to see Tom Jenkinson in the flesh. When I saw him come up to the stage I was in absolute shock. Best concert I've been to, period.

Squarepusher has been a favorite of mine for years, so when the opportunity came up to see him, I jumped on it. I totally love the DnB jazzy squarepusher, but this was not that. Solid if you're into dubstep-y drops, but I'm not really. The only really BAD part about the experience was the airport-style security on your way in the door. I had my pockets completely emptied, made to spread my arms and legs and was THOROUGHLY "patted" down. My friend had a hand rolled cigarette and they wouldn't let him in, even once he had throw it awayI would seriously avoid this venue if possible and save your money for nicer people and a better experience. That aside, I'm glad squarepusher is branching out in the usual fashion, but I can't wait to see what he does next (and hope its not dubstepy!)

I had never heard of square pusher but saw that bonobo was going to be one of 3 opening for him, which to me was odd he wasn't headlining. In any event bonobo played a pretty weak set and it was over before I knew it. Then square pusher came on and in my opinion started off decent and ended horribly. Mind you I'm not a huge electronica fan or whatever his genre is considered, but at the end his music was random sporadic sounds/noises with now flow or rhythm. Guess it's just not my type of music...

It's Sunday - three days after the show -- and I'm still at a loss for words. It's rare that you attend an event that completely alters your conceptions of the possible. If this was electronica, this was electronica deconstructed - the tune, the beat taken apart so far that at times they were barely there at a surface level, but still strong in your subconscious and, strangely, stronger for that. The "light show" wasn't just a light show. It was an integral part of the performance, an integral part of the experience. Son et lumiere. Hypnotic. I had to leave after an hour and a quarter when the guitar came out. I couldn't take any more. In the best possible meaning of that phrase.

Best live electronic performance I have ever seen. The visuals were simple yet amazing. Squarepusher put on a real show that most electronic artists only dream of.

wow squarepusher, were you trying to blind us with your wall of LEDs? because if you were it worked. I have listened to squarepusher since 1997. It's a shame his music has just morphed almost completely into self-indulgent digital xxxxery and horrible noise. Pretty soulless. At this gig, there were occassional glimpses of the squarepusher I used to love, but not much to engage with. And what's with the deadmau5 helmet? I left feeling the whole show was a gimmicky, disappointing, horrible noise fest and just......BRIGHT!

It was quite a challenge to get into Manhattan just for this concert after Sandy, but it was totally worth the pain, Squarepusher is just awesome, I had a lovely time!

To be honest, I had never heard of Squarepusher until the day of the concert. My buddy asked to go, I had nothing else to do, so I went. I listened to some of his music online prior to the event, it was okay nothing to go gaga over. I have to say I had a BLAST. The visuals were awesome and his music is great to go crazy with. It was upbeat and head banging good. His bass solo went a little too long for me and it took forever for him to take the stage, event was for 8pm didn't Squarepush till 10pm. But all in all, a great night.

It was like watching a star explode. You're maybe worried that you're too close, but you can't look away.

Apart from the opening act, this show was an amazing presentation of an upcoming album from one of the best IDM acts in the world. Squarepusher proved once again that he can put up a great show with plenty of LED-lights and awesome beats. Can't wait to get the new album!!!

Took a while for me to do this but nothing has changed since 3/15. I'm STILL amazed at the show I saw. Tom Jenkinson aka Squarepusher said that he was looking to do pure electronic music. Mr. Jenkinson, you have succeeded in your vision. The last time I saw Squarepusher was during the Ultravisitor tour and I was so happy to hear that he was playing in NYC again after all this time. I wish I had worn a helmet because my mind was blown back to the other side of the room. The visuals were simplistic but highly impressive. Squarepusher doesn't need insane visuals when it comes to his music. The only downside had nothing to do with Squarepusher... MAKE THE SMOKERS GO OUTSIDE!!! Otherwise, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS SHOW AND I CAN'T WAIT TO GET THE NEW ALBUM!!!

What can be said about Tom Jenkinson! I've seen him before when he's played bass with electronics in Boston and in NYC at the Bowery Ballroom the last 2 times he was in the states and to see his bass playing chops is just mesmerizing and amazing in itself. This show he utilized LED screens for imagery to create a completely different side of his stage performances. He only performed all new material from his upcoming album and it was only appropriate that the sheer visceral and complex sonic character of it was presented with intense visuals to round out the sensory impact of sight and sound. Would definately see it again!

First, I love Squarepusher. I'm a bass player, so naturally I was hoping--and honestly expecting--to see him play bass. I was also hoping for a live drummer. What I wasn't expecting was basically an album release party that involved him coming out and pressing play on his laptop. Yeah, I love the new material, but I could've just listened to it at home. Also, this concert was woefully short. And no encore. Very disappointed--especially because I drove from Maryland to New York for the show.

After the 70 minute set ended there was an intense feeling of disappointment at Webster Hall. The show had no progression- it started and then just ended. The light show was half baked. Maybe this is a work in progress, but was expecting much, much more from Squarepusher.

Squarepusher's performance was outstanding but the dj who opened the concert was in a very basic level. The sound was good though the bass was TOO high, i was standing on the front line and the extreme bass was unbearable. I understand Squarepusher's music is high in bass but you have to make sure the sound doesn't damage peoples' ears... Overall I enjoyed the concert very much, Squarepusher is a great artist, he certainly was engaged with his audience.

The show was great, but way too short. He came out around 9:20 and played till about 10:30. He just played his new album.
