All of the bands did really well, but I have to admit, my favorite "SLUMP" totally tore it up. They're one of the finalists headed to Cleavland to play at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Get your tickets now!!

Can I get a refund? The Greek Show was not good. MC"s were pre-school. Too much down time. I gave this show a ZERO, "POOR". On a good note, SU's Band was great! GREAT! I mean they were "AMAZING"

The Female Greek groups other than the Deltas need plenty of work! THe Omega Men needed a better theme. The two emcees for the event were boring and downright awful. The bands came preparede and could have done without the old school music.

The battle of the bands was completely enjoyable....I took my daughter to experience an HBCU function as it is a great family affair. It was fun, a little long with the Greek Show but the overall experience was memorable as it is every year. Thank you New Orleans for hosting this tradition, year after year, generation after generation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was dissappointed. The doors opened over a half hour late and i was sitting near a group of guys who brought a bottle of vodka in the building. Security was an absolute joke. They got drunk and the rest of the show was not enjoyable at all.

Would have been a great event if there was more advertising in the hotels (no signage at all) and if the bands performed at their scheduled time (so that their guests were there to see them perform). Winning group was a big disappointment. If there is a second annual festival, hope it's organized more efficiently.

An excellent venue to hear new talent. Unfortunately the judging is subjective and the best band is underestimated and overlooked. As is the case last night with the band VIRETTA. They wwere the obvious choice to sweep the event based purely on talent, musicianship, depth of song structure and composition, and on many other musical levels. You will here of VIRETTA in the future, they are not going away.

Both bands were awesome. The Superdome, on the other hand, made us wait outside in the cold. I'll bet they wouldn't do that to the patrons of a Saints game.

The stomp show had a couple of high points, but overall, the judges, the performances, and the hosts made me want to go to sleep. I actually was going to leave before the bands came out. Once the bands started to play, it was evident to the better band was. After that, there was nothing more to look forward to. I left before the end of the show.

The bands were amazing and so was the music. The female vocalist for the Glen Miller band was good but not great. Thus the 4 stars.

The set up the event was not enjoyable..While there were some high points to.the selections played , the bands did not have the layout needed... Your media crew consumed most of the limelight and space with their stage and equipment. It was difficult to observe the band's dancers, when they were performing with obstructed views caused by speakers and the stage in front of them. I travelled to see bands perform, not announcers prance around a empty stage. The space could have been better utilized for the competition by allowing the bands to perform on the floor with their dancers, etc.,instead of in the stands. It was a good idea for the fundraiser for the schools, but it was a disappointing outcome, because the set up was for the entertainer, instead of the bands. My group and I hope this will be considered for the next events. I will definitely keep my funds and ticketmaster fees.

Really good event but celeb cam out too late. I traveled 2 1/2 hours For the event on a sunday night and had work and school the next Day so we couldn't stay there all night waiting for Two Chain. We left a little after 8 and he still had not come out so we missed him. Maybe do part of his performance in the middle then that way we could Have at least had the opportunity to see him. Or schedule the even on a Saturday so kids Don't have school the next day , especially for those Of us who travel from afar for the event.

They had to many lines going on at one time and people was everywhere... need to be a little more organized!!! It was HORRIBLE!!! It took to long for the OMG to perform and 2 chainz as well... When you have children that have to be in bed at certain time on a school night.. they shouldn't put all the performing artist close to the end.... It was entirely to long!

The step show was very entertaining. A number of the performances had a throwback theme (classic TV shows, movies, performing groups), which made it even more fun to watch and reminisce about the "good ol' days". The Battle of the Bands was terrific as well. In my opinion, SU was clearly the winner, but both bands gave their fans something to cheer about.

The show was very motivating and entertaining. I commend Grambling State University 's band for its introduction of Gospel songs at the beginning of its performance. However, the DJs' comments were not supportive. This standard set that night should continue. It is this expectation that will assist with the mind set of youth, which will aid in bringing pride, dignity, honor, and respect to African American Youth for generations to come.

NOT what we expected of an event of this caliber. Bad sound system, seemingly not very organized. Rivalry is understood, but insulting remarks went a bit overboard. Prob won't be back.

The step show was not entertaining and the band for Grambling University was awful. The step show probably would have been a little better if the sound was better(i.e. better microphone placement). It seemed like the steppers were trying too hard to be creative with the different scenes and music but most of them seemed to not have any rhythm. Southern University's band was very good. Other bands from other universities should probably participate in the future because the two schools had to do too many songs. I was shocked that they sat down during the performances. I thought I was going to see marching band performances, not sitting band performances. I will never pay to see something like that again. I was with two teenagers who asked to leave early. They were not impressed either. I felt bad because we hyped it up to them thinking they may choose to attend one of these schools in the future.

The two-hour Greek step show that preceded the bands nearly put us to sleep. It was way too much. When the bands appeared, imagine our surprise when they were not in their uniforms, just practice sweats. We had expected marching and formations, but they sat in bleachers. What a disappointment!

The shows were great. We enjoyed ourselves at the event. The only problem I had was it was general admission but the had almost the whole bottom reserved then it is not general admission. They should just sale tickets for the regular event seat by seat and do away with the general admission.

The Battle of the Bands was very entertaining. I'm glad the bands performed last. The stage and bands were arranged so that all spectators could see. The jumbo screens were wonderful. Elderlly that could barely walk were present to see their family, freinds and had to walk up those very steep steps in the DARK. Not good. Please make arrangements before next year. "I hope all of the Divine 9 from both schools would plan to participate in the Greek show". I'm thankful for the openness to other groups but spectators come to see the Divine 9. Please help with that before next year. Sound system and computer effects creativeness were great. Much much better than past years. This was my first year to attend since Katrina. The dome looks very nice. Restrooms were well attended. Ushers were very helpful. Please allow guest to enter the facility at least 2 hours before the event. Standing in lines at the door, with no visible security in the dark waiting to enter the dome is very scary and dangerous. All ages are present and excited to attend the visit. Pushing, swearing, screaming takes place when the doors are opened an hour before the event. Seats are not reserved so everyone anciously runs for the door. IThe crowd is just too large for that. Is it like that at the Saints games? A problem. The same exact thing happened for the game the very next day. It was raining. Fans were made to stand in the RAIN! All ages. Not good. A problem. People pay lots of money to support the weekend events. Something has to be done. Preferrably before next year please. Thanks Please pass the word, vendors and outside concert was awesome. Especially the setup.

IN reality this is just a talent show, and not a very good one by far, at least first 2 hours. They call this part the Greek Show (may because the the group name's are in Greek letters) Then the 2 marching bands perform 6 pieces each. we drove from Georgia based on publicity. First an last, very disappointing. No marching band battle, just a warm up for the next day event.

Let me start off by first saying that both bands played really good. SU was the clear winner but they never announce who won! The doors were opened about 30 min late and the security was non-existent. Any and everybody came in without being checked. Secondly, the Greek step show took too long even though some put on a good show. I came to see the band! The format for the battle of the bands was a joke. I don t think the organizer truly allowed the bands to battle and therefore shine. It was almost pre-staged and not exciting like I anticipated. I went to the game the following day and the bands did better at the game when they were allowed to do what they do best, PLAY. Next time allow the bands to do their thing and play current music and not so much old school songs and completely take out letting people sing.

Firstly dome has been too cold the last 2 years which is the sentiment of many. Then in relations to the show the greek show intrelude need to be cut in half and more time to the bands. Many times the stage host asked "are you ready for the bands" with a roaring crowd saying yea. The main reason people come is for the band though the support is there for the greeks but it need to be more band and less greek.

Once again, The Bayou Classic Battle of the Bands was outstanding. High energy performances and top notch entertainment. Both schools work hard to showcase their talents for this event, but in this battle Southern University clearly walks away with a flawless victory. Can't wait to come back next year!
