If you want to see a band that doesn't make your ears ring, then this wasn't the show for you! This was the 8th time I have seen the Donnas and, as always, they didn't disappoint. The set list was heavy with their last two releases - "Bitchin" and "Greatest Hits...Vol. 16", but the usual staples were there - "Take It Off", "Who Invited You"and "Fall Behind Me". I love when the Donnas are the headliners! Brett Anderson continues to be a wonderful mix of Paul Stanley's charisma and David Lee Roth's stage presence. She takes control of the show when she busts on to the stage from "Bitchin" until the last note of "Take It Off". Allison Robertson is one of the most under-rated guitar virtuosos in rock music today. It is nothing less than awesome watching her melt faces during her solos on stage. She can play. Period. Maya Ford brought the thunder and a little comic relief as Brett's microphone shorted out. Amy Cesari, who has replaced Torry Castellano due to injury, seems to bang on the skins a little harder than Torry. It must just be habit from rocking with her own band, The Demonics. That being said - the show was on a Monday and my ears didn't stop ringing until Wednesday afternoon. If your ears don't ring, then it really isn't a rock show! So why didn't I give this 5 stars after such high praise? The venue sucked! The ceiling was leaking on the stage and in the crowd. I don't know if it was from the water or not, but Brett's microphone shorted out and her feedback monitor blew up. I hate the Rex and it is even in my hometown!

The Donnas came on stage at around 11:30 pm and they played a tight, yet all too brief set. The first thing I noticed was drummer Torry wasn't playing drums. Apparently Torry has an injury so a female drummer named Amy is sitting in until Torry heals. I must say Amy did a great job, however Torry was missed by this reviewer. The set concentrated on newer songs off the new album (Greatest Hits Volume 16), Bitchin', Spend The Night and Gold Medal. The ladies sounded really tight and the mix in the club was excellent. I was surprised to see Allison is now playing what appeared to be a Gibson Explorer. In the other concerts I've attended she always played a Les Paul. Allison played exteremely well and Brett's vocal were rock solid. They played for about an hour. I was a little disappointed in the some choice but I guess they can't please everyone's wishes. Personally I would have loved to hear Skin Tight one more time, but hey.. maybe next time. Overall it was the typical Donnas' show, lots of energy, rock guitar, and attitude.

This is the third time I've seen The Donnas and it was a really good show. Torry was hurt but her replacement was a really heavy drummer. I thought the show was a little short, but the ticket price was low, so a trade-off there. I wish that Brett would do some vocal warm-ups backstage. Each time I've seen them, it seems like she takes the first five songs to warm up. The Rex had some sound problems this night, but the band did a great job playing through and not getting all rock star because of it. Personally, I wish they were a little heavier on Gold Medal.

Seriously, this was one of the best shows I've ever seen. The energy was incredible! Brett is smoking hot, ultra talented and REALLY knows how to work a crowd. Not that we needed much help, as an audience we were awesome.. Tori was missed, but Amy did a fine job. Also, Dangerous New Addiction, the last opener, rocked in their own right. I am strongly considering flying somewhere else to see The amazing Donnas again, real soon!

High Energy; Everybody Singing Along to Every Song; Amazing Guitar Playing; Great Interaction With the Audience; One of the Best Concerts I Have Been To (and I've seen a lot of them!) It was great feeling the Donnas getting more and more charged up. Before "Perfect Stranger" Brett (vocalist) said something like "We can hear you singing along! This one is from our new album and if you guys can sing along with it, I'll marry every f'ing one of you!"

Excellant show! It rocked the house! Amy Cesari did a great job filling in for Torry Castellano. Made this Donnaholic happy! The Donnas are the best band in the world!

I was very disappointed. One of my favorite bands, but they just didn't have it tonight. This may have had a lot to do with the absence of drummer Tori. I felt the songs dragged along without the great tempos I've come to love this band for! The drums sounded "clompy" and uncoordinated. The sound in general was bad, but we've come to expect this with this venue. The minor technical difficulties experienced with bass amps and microphones were more forgivable than the not-Tori drumming.

It was a great show. The best set I've seen. My only complaint was that it seemed a little short of a set. That might be because i wanted them to play for another hour and I would've listened. You could see how they've progressed as a band. Donna A owns the crowd now. I would definitely see them again. That was the fourth time for me I think, but certainly the best. I'd highly recommend them.

They were great for the first time seeing them live, lots of energy here. Amy I think her name was sitting in for injured Torrey did a fantastic job, who is she anyway? The Donnas are a top notch female band and they really rocked the house.

Show was at Wasted Space. Small smoky club. The sound was excellent, Brett was in top form, although she was actually a bit under the weather. She had great interaction with the audience and Amy did a great job subbing on the skins for Torry. The guitarists, Maya and Allison, play with ease and Allison shreds with all the rock star moves. She plays solos and most boy bands don't know how to do that. Their songs are catchy and fun to sing along to.

I love the venue. Wasted Space is a perfect small bar with the upscale appeal you'd expect to get from the Hard Rock Hotel in Vegas! Gets even better when you're up close and personal with bigger name bands up at their heels. The Donnas put on a great show and rockin out the crowd!

Even thought the opening acts were horrible and even though the setlist favored new songs over the old fan favorites, the Donnas knocked it out of the park. It's the first show of the year where I was disappointed when it was over. They could've played another hour and not overstayed their welcome. They only thing to complain about is that they don't come to town nearly often enough.

Great show on July 17th ladies! They rocked the (small) house and had a very enthusiastic crowd. Went with my teenage daughters and we all enjoyed the show. We saw them in New York two years ago as well. The sets could include a few more songs, there are several great ones that were omitted.

I love the Donnas and they have never let me down yet. And the Troubadour is the best small stage in the city. So I knew coming in this would be a good show. These ladies are hard rock veteran's now after being together 10 years. And have only gotten better with age. They are very comfortable with who they are and that is old school Metal chics. They pulled out all the old school tricks from standard headbanging and fist pumping to synchronized rocking moves and fret tapping during guitar solos. And while I was disappointed that regular drummer Tori was sidelined with an injury, the young lady keeping the beat in her place did a fine job. All in all great place, great crowd (except the cheesey tool in a suit waving his cell phone around!? Nice shoulder pads dink.) and a rocking show! The Donnas are THE QUEENS OF ROCK!

The Donnas show at the Troubadour was short, but highly energetic. They rocked the house, jamming one hard rocker after another. It was disappointing that their drummer Torry was not there, although her replacement for the night was outstanding. The band had great sound and Allison impressed with her guitar playing. The two opening acts were ridiculously bad. I think The Donnas are pulling the old Van Halen trick--have horrible opening acts to make the crowd that more appreciative when you take the stage. The Troubadour was a nice intimate setting to see them. If you like to rock, and I think you do, take in The Donnas show. They simply kick ass.
