I discovered The Mission while stationed in Japan in 1986 by picking up a cassette of Gods Own Medicine at Tower Records in Tokyo. I'd hadn't heard any of their music prior to that. I loved their music from the start and it's been is a loose rotation in my listening file ever since. I'd not had the opportunity to see them before this show. Fast forward to now. Needless to say I'm stoked when I arrive at the venue. That's saying something as I see 30-50 shows a year. At the time I had no idea what to expect, very few bands that have been around this long sound as good now as they did then. I wouldn't have believed better, but in this case they were better live than any recording of them I've heard. Right from the beginning Wayne and the boys were smooth and polished. There was not one bad note or chord that I noticed all night. If these guys are not in your favorites on Tickemaster or in your tracking list on Songkick they should be. I was very surprised to see how few seats were sold to this show. You can bet I'll be in the crowd any time The Mission is within 200 miles of LA! Oh! Wayne proclaimed himself the 2nd best lead singer of all time. I'm still very interested to know who he thinks #1 is.

It was a small show. The Mission Uk always puts on amazing show. They rocked the house.I liked club nokia, it was a nice place and nice staff. The Happy Hollows was good to warm the crowd for the Mission UK.

The Mission UK concert exceeded all expectations. Club Nokia was an awesome venue - small, great sound, not too crowded. Band was great. Lead singer has not lost a bit and even sounded better to me that in 1989. Great energy. Warm up act Happy Holllow was excellent. I am going to look into buying their songs. Would go again in a minute. Mission UK - just awesome!

Even though Wayne Hussey said he had laringytist he still sounded amazing. I was a bit disappointed in the lack of volume on Simons guitar. Overall a phenomenal show
